MAGnet Links - Walsall

Featured Replies

On Saturday Notts play Walsall at Meadow Lane, how many links can we find between the two clubs, owners, managers, trainers or players.

Post below if you can think of a link.

I’ll start you off with Steve Cherry who kept goal for Walsall between 1984 and 1986 making 71 appearances and for Notts between 1988 and 1995 making 266 appearances.

Strangely he never scored for either club. 😂

A player who may well be playing for Notts on Saturday, Mazier Kouhyar, played for Walsall between 2016 to 2019 playing 21 times with 1 goal.

Stuart Rimmer - striker, late 80’s from memory. Went to “Warsaw” after playing for us for a short while I believe.

One of many strikers who always seemed to do well, wherever he played, but never really seemed to click here.

Ian McParland, a big Notts County favourite, played for Walsall on loan in 1991. He made 11 appearances & scored 6 goals.
