Ok so it seems Billy Davies was in Nottingham today....What do members think of this news?

Personally, I'm not his biggest fan. I don't understand why clubs bring back managers that they have sacked in the past? Sure unfinished buisness but still I can not see the logic.

Been a while since both Nottingham football clubs were without managers!

Hopefully he is definitely over the other side of the Trent as I wouldn't like him to manage NCFC personally

He must be mad.

It's strange because he left them after a dispute over ambition (+ blah blah blah) and now he's rumored to be on the verge of coming back to them when they've shown less signs of any ambition what so ever. *sigh It's just strange

"Unfinished business" Is that good news for them, or does he really want to get his own back on them. Now that would be funny.

Not looking forward to after match radio commentary after home games. Will have to listen to him all the way home to Long Eaton. Sigh.

I have to say Billy does give good interviews and hardly any signs towards not believing what he says. (apart from the long windy stir that he does) That could just be one those quirks we pick up. Their board aren't winners though and they should of tried to get him all along if this his their master-plan.

It would be very funny if he went back to get his own back on them, i don't see him staying there for ages myself.

As the fans hate Derby County so much, why would they be happy with a previous manager of theirs nevermind him also managing Forest before.

I can't understand why Billy Davies has gone back to Forest.Alex McLeish left because of 'a misunderstanding of the strategy of progress'whatever that means. Was it a disagrement over who he wanted to sign. Were the owners interfering with signings.Whatever it was I don't see the situation being any different for Billy Davies. How long will he last?

Fustrating appointment for Walsall fans. Reason? David Kelly signed for Walsall as assistant manager to Dean Smith. One game and eight days later he joined Billy Davies at Forest.Always going to join his old mate again. Didn't expect it to be so soon.

That's pretty disgraceful! I wasn't aware Billy had took an assistant to be honest. David Kelly has a wealth of experience but that doesn't give him the right to just turn his back. Are you inline for compo at all?

Don't think we are in line for compo no. Ned and Deano were players at Walsall over 25 years ago and are good friends,. The arrangement was only going to be temporary by the looks of it. Kelly a hero with the fans as he started out at Fellows Park and banged in 30 goals in our promo season of 87-8 (sorry, County fans) and said he was destined to return to his first club, happy to be here etc, then walks to hold hands with Billy. Tarnished his reputation with Walsall fans but we will continue without him.

that must be gut wrenching to see an iconic figure do that. Shame that people show a lack of respect these days

It is indeed Liam. There was a real feel good factor when Ned returned. Still respect him for what he did for Walsall as a player all those years ago but would not be welcome back at Bescot now.

Alot of staff in clubs seem to follow each other to other clubs or even just leave and eventually catch up with each other. I don't think its fair on the clubs though when they break contracts or agreements.
