Jeremy Balmy and Harry Andrews won't be offered new contracts by the club in January.

I think I've seen Balmy play but I can't remember seeing Andrews.

What are your thoughts?

If there's no chance of them making it then I agree with SD, let them go

Not sure what's going on there. We kick Andrews out and Speiss is sent out on loan. So, we have 1 keeper & Pilks?

Balmy is a waste of space,no loss. Tempest & Dixon should get the heave ho too, nowhere near good enough.

I never felt Harry Andrews was good enough for a professional contract, hard worker but limited ability in my opinion. I always hoped he would prove me wrong, he still might elsewhere but Liam Mitchell was far better and still not good enough.

The times I've watched him he didn't look like a keeper, nice lad though.

Balmy I think he's too lightweight and raw for this division, pre season people was lining him up as the next big thing and he looked good but against sides any of our players should have look decent against. I do think he will bounce back but he will need to muscle up a bit and have a stint with a side that suites him. I'm disappointed to see him dropped, however it isn't working and I accept Derry decision.

I wish the pair well and hope they do well in their careers.

Notts are quite right to be ruthless at this stage with the contracts of the youngsters IMO, we cannot afford to keep players who may not make it.

If they really are good enough then great bring it on, but otherwise "wish them luck as you wave them goodbye" (put that one in just for @super_ram and @tonyhateley )

Exactly.

This might push others to take their chances but I have to say I am surprised by balmy's release. i have not seen andrews enough to pass comment but i did feel he was a little short to be a goal keeper.

im surprised, esp with fab going out on loan.

harry clearly is not thought of as ready or anywhere near, i wonder if he will find a club. balmy should quite easily, its harder for keepers imo.
