I'm always asking folks for movie recommendations, problem is because of the modern trend to see everything instantly I have already seen the majority most people recommend.

Not a problem with this site! - Here

I also have a tenancy of watching the same genre, so I get hooked to 'horrors', then move onto 'crime' or 'thrillers'. This should encourage me not to do this, though I do like the ability to toggle films and put in keywords. The fact it also shares the trailer is brilliant, as I always watch them before I commit to a movie (otherwise I turn off 10 minutes in when it's boring or displays bad acting).

Try it ;)

I'm running out of things to watch on Netflix, I tend to stream movies online because I can find relatively quickly and pretty decent quality. I can't believe I only just watched minority report because of this site!

I wasn't the biggest Tom Cruise fan when I was younger, I literally disliked him.

I frequently use Jinni, Movielens and A Good Movie to Watch.

Some are subscription based but free.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
