Interesting Theory

I was talking to a chap at the match on Saturday and he said that when Curle and his two assistants were sacked it was purely a money saving exercise as Notts are in financial difficulties. According to him we were never going to appoint another manager and CK was always going to get the job because he was cheap. He also pointed to the transfer of Hughes and the failure to sign a suitable replacement as another example which backed up his theory.

I do hope this isn't true as I couldn't bear another term in administration with all the worries that brings.

Any thoughts?

Could be true, could be false. People will always put two and two together to make something fit. It suites their own theories. For all we know, there may be a well known manager around the corner ready to step in.

I've heard this, I don't believe it to be honest.

I was told by someone that we got rid of Lee due to him having a another case brought against him and we let him go because he poised a negative image for what is considered to be a 'family club'. I don't believe that, I took it with a pinch of salt. I think Curle went because the board grew impatient of the low attendances, now this might sound unfair but we have no stability without a stable environment. I hope our problems are more a matter of things not clicking and something which could be corrected, though I would like to spend time watching a training session.

This needs to be our focus, so rumours I'll ignore but thanks for sharing Tony. I had a walk up near to where you mentioned you sat, didn't see anyone and I tried my hardest to spot Julie (since I know her face well)

Well we were both there, were you in the Pavis? I thought you said you were going in the family stand.

You will have seen Julie's face she always attracts the photographers attention.

I was buddy, the stewards kindly allowed and trusted me to hand out some flyers. I walked up to the area you mentioned purposely looking for you but I must of missed you or not got the correct location. :)

I probably didn't see you because I'd have my head in my phone texting my son, he's in the States at the moment and likes to be kept up to date with the scores, I was just behind the away dugout right at the side of the tunnel about 4/5 rows back, Julie sits next but one to me.

You should have shouted "TONY HATELEY WHERE ARE YOU" at the top of your voice, that would have raised a few eyebrows, they'd either think you were mad or be looking round to see if they could spot Big Tone :D

no lack of rumours at notts! i dont wish to comment on if it's true or not, something is odd about it all.

faith in the boardroom.

With the controversy surrounding Lee Hughes departure and no suitable replacement arriving, the winding up order fiasco and the chairman's moan on attendances, there are bound to be rumours. If the chairman tried to put down these rumours it would probably only increase speculation.I agree with 2pies about putting 2 and 2 together, then again others say there is no smoke without fire.Only time will tell.

There is always rumours going around, i don't believe that we are having really bad financial difficulties.

We have exactly got alot of money to spend but i don't think we are anywhere near administration.

I hope we do get a new manager for the next season, but i can see why we are sticking with Chris at the moment... but he is only just keeping us from dropping lower upto now.
