Jimmy (no doubt) but if I went by people I've seen/met. Michale Johnson, Lee Hughes.

So many players prior I wished I had witness them grace the field, although any list I did make does have the potential to go on. (which I do enough)

Who would your top 3 be?

Jimmy  always comes into my head whenever Notts is mentioned,as does Lee Hughes.It just shows the impact they had on your club.Don Masson is another one for me and of course Ben Davis.

My choice would be a striker who played for Notts County in the early 80's whom older posters on here will remember- Trevor Christie. He had the distinction of being the first player to play for all four East Midlands clubs- Notts County, Notts Forest, Derby and Leicester. He also played a few games for Mansfield towards the end of his career. He also had a couple of very good seasons at Walsall, helping the Saddlers to promotion to the second tier in 1988.  He was happy to pose for me here in the pre-match for our game with Doncaster on 9.4.88 so its nearly 25 years ago to theday. Does anyone know where he is now or what he does for a living? He was a very useful player who certainly knew where the back of the net was..

Yes, I can remember Trevor Christie, great player, not sure what he is doing now.

How could I forget Trevor Christie,  after all we share our birthday,  though he's considerably younger than me.

 

Not just that though, Friday 9th of May 1986,the Rams last home match of the season and lying 4th in the third tier,needing 3points for promotion(no play offs then-top 3 automatic promotion) playing Rotherham. Phil Gee scores for Rams on 77 minutes only for Rotherham to equalise just 2 minutes later.The Rams are then awarded a debatable penalty with 6 minutes to go. 3 players had scored and missed penalties so far this season, so who would take this really vital one. Yes up stepped Trevor, bang, the ball is in the net and The Baseball Ground goes wild as promotion is ensured.

  I think he only missed1 penalty for Notts-a very good , honest player.

  Sorry, I don't know what he's doing nowadays.

I haven't been a fan for anywhere near as long as Notts-joe or most people on here, two players come to mind though.

They were both great with fans too.
