Yeah car insurance is ridiculous. It's an industry built so heavily on prejudice. I think it's changed now but to increase how much you pay if you're a male because "they're more likely to be involved in crashes as they may be into showing off, boy racer-type stuff"... riiight. But seriously, take lessons, it's worth it. You can't be relying on buses your whole life.

People moan about bus/taxi fare just as much as car insurance. They are all a rip off. I don't think they should stereotype people based on their age and gender. I have an idea how much car insurance will cost, but seen as i currently don't drive, i don't know exactly.

I would hope they reassess how much they charge people, but its big business for the companies to make money on the better/safer drivers.

well am 26 an a male and for me to have a Honda Civic Type R am probaly looking at 2-4 Grand cause I'm a young male

I don't know how young people can afford to drive these days, thousands of pounds for a years insurance must be way beyond most peoples means. I suspect lots are named drivers on mum and dad's insurance.

I can fully comp my Citroen C3 Picasso for just over £200.

I've found a nice little runabout for you @[member="notts-joe"] it needs a bit of TLC but it'll be really cheap to insure. :joker:

i do not plan to buy a car, not until i am older. i am happy with my bike and public transport, i work locally to my area so there is no need for me but i think it would be a joke to have a car.
