Yeovil Town (H)

Yeovil joined us in League 2 this season. It hasn't been easy for them. 9 points from 12 games sees them 1 place above the drop zone. They are an average side at best.
Anything less than a home win would be disappointing. 3-1 to Notts. Izzy (2) and Burke.

Yeovil are a team we should be beating, though the same could be applied again others we haven't done. It's concerning how many games we have lost at this stage, it's nowhere near convincing enough to say we can mount a challenge and with a mid table position being what currently seems likely (unless we turn our season around) - then it's games like this whereby I feel we may drop points required to make the difference.

We have a very good squad going forward, so I expect the game to be entertaining but can we score?

I just hope we don't play just one striker.

A field where dreams become reality.

It will be interesting to see the line up this week, I am sure it will be a thoroughly entertaining game but will we win?

Who knows.

Ricardo Moniz said we should be wary of Yeovil as he watched them against Portsmouth and they dominated.

Sorry Ricardo but from BBC stats pormtsmouth had 90% possession to Yeovils 29% And Pompey had 14 shots to Yeovils 3-4

we should tear Yeovil apart

That also shows that stats can misleading. Quality possession in the final third is more relevant a stat in my view

Even though results wise we are struggling, I am still looking forward to going down the lane much more than last season, like every Notts fans 1st and foremost we want a victory, but at least it's feel like you are getting value for money and with the cost involved I think that's important.

Yes Yeovil came and parked the bus and Notts struggled to break them down in the first half but were unlucky to see the ball hit the woodwork on two occasions.

The breakthrough goal in the second half was a free kick which again saw players at odds as to who took it Aborah won the argument and scored with a free kick which took a deflection and caught the keeper out.

Great to see McLeod put through one on one with the keeper and score a good second goal, hopefully that will start him off on a run, I thought having Stead up front helped him.

A great win and special mention for Audel at left back who I thought had an excellent game at left back.

Good win today, we so needed it, can't believe we started with McCleod on the left side, we had Burke and Snijders starting on the bench, also although you can't fault the lads effort Campbell has no end product, let's have players playing in their correct positions.
Aborah was class again and bringing Sheehan back was a master stroke but hope Moniz gives his team selection more thought, Yeovil were awful today so not going to get over excited.

I don't know weather Yeovil were bad as people are saying they held Portsmouth to a 0-0 and just did what Plymouth did.

Teams are coming to Meadow Lane and just sitting deep defending and trying to catch us if we are clinical at home we will kill teams early cause teams don't want to go at us.

If we can take this approach and form away we will be strong it's deffo better then hoof all last season that was depressing.

I thought they were good at defending and very poor going forward. Not sure if that makes them good or bad

Think about it Plymouth did the same just we gave away two goals but again if we would of equalised I believe we would of gone on stronger and won.

Teams will come here see we play good fluid passing football and they'll sit back land try catch us if we can get Izale firing I reckon games will be killed of by half time.

We just need a formula for away to play our game pass and movement because we have the players and pace and creativity it's just finding the balance.

hopefully he doesn't change the team to much only change I would be tempted to is Snidjers for Campbell as Snidjers has more of a cross and shooting the Campbell.

But I'd be tempted to see how De Silva and Milsom are and maybe give them a few mins near the end and bring Campbell on for his pace at Bristol near the end

The starting 11 changes from game to game but the back four I thought played as well as I've seen a Notts back four play at home this season. A real luxury to be able to bring on Snijders and Burke as subs: would be in most league 2 teams 11! Aborah looked class again the first half curling pass into the box with the outside of his boot bamboozled Yeovil.
