Sheehan wants Magpies stay

<!--url{0}-->Alan Sheehan has revealed he is eager to remain at Notts County for the 2013/14 League One season.

Sheehan is one of 15 players out of contract this summer, but the 26-year-old left-back has held initial discussions with Magpies manager Chris Kiwomya about a new deal.

He told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I have had two years here, have played over 80 games and I am happy to be here.

"The fans have been very good. I'd like to be here and have never said I want to leave.

"A few of us have spoken to Chris and we know his plans for next season. I can't really say too much before things goes public but he has plans for next season.

"I think it will be quite exciting and it will nice to be a part of it."

I see some of the 9 players moving on, I think Alan might just be one. Hopefully he signs, there's worse at this level and I rate him when he puts in the dedication we've seen at times. His confidence seems to dip, though he's pretty good going forward. His defending is a little weak at times but this is something he can work on in training.

Hopefully he signs, but we will have to wait and see if he does or not.

Of course, it doesn't harm to speculate though. We'll see :)
