Ik I am usually one to complain about Jamie, but there is nothing we can do, and tbh, he has shut majority of fans up by winning 2 out of his 3 games! I for one know that i need to get behind him more and i hope you lot can do the same!

YOUPIES!

All he can do is keep winning games, make wise moves in the transfer market and bring us success. As long as he and the club don't settle for mediocrity then he has my vote.

Let's not forget though that Keith Curle won quite a lot of games early in his management tenure, but the fans never warmed to him. Maybe that was because we already knew a lot about him though, whereas we know practically diddly squat about JF!

He definitely has my support, he has continued excitement for Saturday's, I just can't wait for the next game to arrive! Je has done the right thing by thinning the squad down and keeping the players he wants, so far he has kept a consistent team and is willing to try new things to get us success (Adams at left wing, Garath bale ring any bells)

All we can do is support the lads and hope they work their arses off!

He's winning people over, which is good - provided the results come.

I sometimes wished we was the type of club that made our own impact - you see some teams where the fans don't like their manager etc, yet they still go to enjoy themselves. I sat through a very boring (I won't say when or which it was) but it made a HUGE difference being with fans who sang and joked. We as fans can make a difference, after all once a manager goes - generally only we remain.

Players, coaches, staff, managers all move on.

I hope JF can learn and lead us back to League One.

The jury's still out for me. Not expected in until end of next season at the earliest. Not just because it's JF, I'm the same with any new manager.

made my mind up after Wimbledon crap hoof style and watches a diffrent game to what the fans watch  then lies about how we was in control of it

@ohstanleyaborah " (Adams at left wing, Garath bale ring any bells) " unbelievable quote... Mrs T will be saying to Ray, great we have a 80 million pound player. Too late after yesterdays fiasco, 80 million to zero

We all want Jamie to succeed but not fronting up when things went wrong yesterday, how can he garner support? Furthermore his dogmatic refusal to play the better creative players who have been discarded to the naughty corner of this club defies belief

Posted

I was simply referring to the fact bale was a left back but after trying him at left wing he is now one of the best players in the world, playing a centre back at centre mid is different from playing an attacking minded left back at left wing

I don't think adams played well at left wing but its something worth trying yet people were slating jamie for experimenting

not been funny were 18th in league 2 in febuary we have 3 months left it's not the place or time for nutty professor experiments.

and hoofball football and sitting back it's the time to play good football and pick up points it's clear that fans and players are fighting players don't rate him clearly.

he has dropped Stan not sure why noble is a centre mid not a winger don't expierment with you're best players.

if you wanna test new stuff do it in pre season were it don't matter not when you've just been beaten by bottom of the league York city

Posted

There is no time for experiments..We still have a large squad. The failure to understand that Noble is a central midfielder and not a winger, fails to give any confidence in Jamie's mind set. Snijders, Stanley and Amevor all seem to have been marginalised.

Posted

he has wingers Burke Snidjers valencic etc the fans don't like him players are arguing with fans.

If the reports key don't blame me blame the directors was said by Carroll which I wouldn't be surprised if true.

Says the players have had enough of this joke appointment an clearly were hoping for a proper manager how are they suppose to respect this clown.

Secondly when he comes on air and says fans can't fault us if we score York wouldn't of won etc etc he's full of excuse after exucuse.

Then has the check to lie to fans as if the game we was watching weren't the same as him sorry but lying to the fans is bad.

He must think we are stupid I remember the Wimbledon speech we played well no we didn't Jamie we was crap and in our own half for 90 mins.

He needs to get lost he isn't right for this job it was calling out for a manager with football expierence not a rookie who interviews well apparently.

if we lose Tuesday expect some serious kicking off Saturday with some fans cause relegation is possible 13 points off in febuary and just lost to bottom of the league

From a purely business point of view, I cannot see JF being around Notts much longer.

Let me state my case.

Mr and Mrs Trew are desperate for Notts to do well.......I have huge respect for anyone who throws £20 million at a football club, although i personally feel that they are crazy!!............football clubs are a notorious "black hole" for investing money.

They have hired and fired much better managers, IMO, relatively recently.

Both SD and Moniz were well respected, and supported by the fan-base....yet both got the chop pretty quickly once results started to go against them.

Looking back, I suspect most people would accept either of them back, in return for JF.

The style of football by Moniz was actually bringing home fans back into ML, though many questioned his selection of players plus his playing of players out of position.

JF has neither fan support, nor results going his way.....it is honestly as simple as that.

I can categorically state, I have never called for any Notts manager to be fired, though like many on here, I have questioned why some managers were even appointed in the first place!

This season is starting to look like a wash-out, and if we end up anywhere below half-way......I expect Ray to be getting some more exercise with his trigger finger!

Let's hope that the next manager is someone we have heard of.....and the dwindling fan-base can respect.

I wasn't happy when he was appointed but I got behind him anyway, yes he will make mistakes but you don't change a defence that has kept 2 clean sheets in the last 3, you don't play your joint top scorer on the wing when he has scored every goal in the centre, you don't leave out a youngster full of confidence after scoring a worldie on his debut, and you don't leave out all of your creative players when you play a side willing to sit back and defend.

He has too get things sorted soon or all the fans will turn against him.

Finally you don't sack a manager to bring in someone less experienced, you are just asking for trouble

Wise words @tarquinbeech. Ray wrote at the time of Moniz's demise, we will only appoint a manager that ticks all the boxes, or words to that effect...Pity  there wasn't a box for "creativity". I like you Tarq's try to give support because we ALL want Notts to be successful. However we seem to have ended with a Jeremy Corbyn situation vis a vis the elders of the party going against nuclear disarmament. The sidelining of Stanley, the most skillful player Notts have had since Alan Judge, dampens the support from decent Notts supporters who recognise that this seems so wrong. Swansea installed a football philosophy which was to be continued no matter who the manager was? We do seem to have totally sacrificed this to return to Derry's and Hart's hoof-ball. This is not using the best of the resources available. Am I confident that Jamie will change, in a word no? Just a look  at the bench on Saturday and the players that are absent speaks volumes. Political parties that are split never succeed. Likewise , one gets the feeling that Jamie has an impossible job bringing everyone together to move forwards. I hope that I am wrong, but my gut feeling is not good. If Stanley is forced out, I for one will be calling for his head. Yes, we need to be effective but with a hint of skill /entertainment. Those players that provide the latter are an essential part of the equation. How are Notts to bring in new supporters if the fare on offer, falls at that hurdle? COYP

the fans are already against him fans have been signing get out of club at away games they did this at Luton apparently.

So he isn't wanted here bein a ex red may not help his case either but he won't be here in a months time gaurentee you that.

Sorry but it should have always been coopers job no doubts Snidjers Stanley can't get in the team.

Wes has been good st right back for me quick athletic quite strong and isn't afraid to take someone on I find him better then Hewitt if am honest why not play noble centre drop smith and play Campbell or Genaro on that left ?

Id play Banton in the reserves this week even if he plays against Hartlepool to just to get his match sharpness up quicker I'd also give Murray a chance up top aswell.

Burke is very lazy but if you bring him on with 5-10 mins he can create something at times with that left foot

You say burke is lazy but we all know he has quality, a good manager would coach him and make him track back, but no we just leave him out and burke is actually a striker/attacking midfielder so Im not surprised he doesn't track back

As you have alluded to, like I have said before, if we are to ever attract new supporters we need to offer a comparable product that is attainable both financially and logistically. Whilst the latter two might already be in place the first one has gone from being nearly there to further away than anyone could ever imagine. Fans of any sport like watching people do things that they can't, they immortalise them into gladiators and they hate watching the week and meek who might try hard but are technically inept.

We had a team of gladiators under Moniz, flawed by the ignorance of defence but never the leas brilliant to watch, who, with another manager like Mark Cooper would have gone onto being a team of attacking gladiators who could defend.

We have now got a team of tryers, a team who quite clearly are losing the fan base on a level that is becoming worrying and a it is a team forced into playing a tactically inept, week and meek style of play just because the manager is quite clearly just the finger puppet of those higher up the food chain.

that's not the point is it when Sanchez play for Arsenal does he or does he not track back?

all players have to defend as a team he has no given right not to help out sorry he may have a bit of quality at times but if he is on the wing and doesn't track back it leads to openings

Rember maloneys winner for Northampthon Burke jus allowed him to skip past shoot goal so you always have to track back and be switched on even the strikers need to try and cut balls out etc
