next season for notts

i think its safe to post this now.

next season for notts should be one of those seasons where we will be able to tell just how far kn can take the club. if we fail to continue the success of this season now, at least the squad is not that far from being complete and if we do gain promotion i feel the same applies to establishing ourselves as a decent l1 team.

i think there will just be more offloading than we require which seems interesting even at this point.

I agree that as things stand, if we gain promotion this season there will have to be quite a high personnel changeover, ready for next. Whereas another season in league two would allow us to tinker with the squad in order to improve and prepare it better.

That being said, we are in a great position at the moment and I would rather go up, than stay put. We would need a lot more pace in the side for league 1, so would have to wave goodbye to most of our current over 30s.

Well considering how I felt we only needed two positions strengthening in the January transfer window - I think it highlights the squads shape and current condition.

There's always room for improving though.

If we do gain promotion I think some of the current first team members may require competition to push us that extra bit further, by next season our strike-force will require work and new additions. League One football will turn this current squad into a jigsaw, there will be pieces missing and others that won't quite fit. If we don't secure this, then the current squad just needs extra quality and I am sure we will be fine.

Personally it's exciting to see how we are progressing under the right stewardship.

A field where dreams become reality.

If we gain promotion I agree with @Chris.

We will need to improve to ensure the club continues its path forward, if we don't well we should be fine with the odd additional player. I hope we don't become one of those teams like Swindon that rely on favours from bigger clubs.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!
