Always liked Mick. Good player who could actually head the ball. We’ve had a few target men who jumped and the majority of the time, couldn’t connect! Not mentioning any names. OK then Enoch!

@hissingdwarfMick wasn't the most skilful, but he knew where the goal was.. £ 650k Tony Agana didn't.

Mick had a great partnership with Charlie who fed on the flick ons

Still brings a rye smile whenever someone mentions the Tony Agana signing.

What a total balls up that was. A typical Notts signing! Bringing in the wrong one of a solid pairing. Deane would have been a class act. Agana was on a downward spiral and without his partner, couldn’t score in a brothel.

Mick Waitt was a bit before my time watching, but I did know he managed the New Zealand national team for a bit. According to Wikipedia he works for the police now.

As for Tony Agana, I'm not sure where I heard it but I think Neil Warnock wanted to bring both Agana and Deane in, but was only given money for one. To be fair, it wouldn't have been cheap buying two established top-flight strikers.

There are scores of failed Notts target men who fit that description! We've certainly had more crap ones than good ones.

@DangerousSausagePavis was given the choice Agana or Deane, "as it was his money"  and chose the wrong one

Before my time or, at least I don't remember Mick but he seems to be a friendly person.

I hope to speak to some former players such as him to find out more about their careers with Notts, I also agree, players like Mick are easily dismissed it seems but sometimes they're exactly the player you need within your squad.
