Ricky Miller NEP Rumoured Interest

I haven't seen many opinions on this, in fact, I only noticed due to going through the NEP site in order to see if there's anything out there that we can discuss.

Ricky Miller is a good player at this level, however, at 31 and on paper I'm not bothered.

I would prefer Notts to find someone between 25-28 myself, someone with legs and able to contribute to Football League success if we're able to get there. If we want a Non League fighter, I think there's again better out there.

There’s no doubting his goal record, didn’t he score something like 40 goals in one season?! However that was a couple of years ago now, he’s not played for a year and has had his fair share of off the field issues so the signing would have been a bit of risk.

Scored on his debut at the weekend...  If he gets 10/15 goals backend of the season you’d feel like it was a missed opportunity. (Let’s wait and see though!)

Don’t get me wrong I think a new striker would be a boost but the issue lately has been more about creating chances, since the Wealdstone game we haven’t had tons of chances. Second half against Hartlepool was better but also a bit of an anomaly too, usually if we have that many chances we score at least one.

As @menzinho, it could've been useful with Wes Thomas self isolating.

If there's better that be explored than it's not an issue but it could be a missed opportunity. In form strikers can drive teams into promotion positions.
