  1. Morecambe could have a turning point at any moment, I feel sorry for them because I don't think they should be in this position and having signed 15 players in a single day, that is a lot of players needing to settle into a new environment. I have seen their highlights, they don't play badly but can be caught out. Defensively, I do see that they have weaknesses and this should be somewhere Notts tries to cause as many problems with as possible. I would hope we can make the most of set pieces and corner kicks, as Morecambe do throw bodies and it can become a little chaotic. I do think we'll get the time to shoot, even without set pieces, but Morecambe are very capable in attacking despite not having won yet. If they remain as a team, we might struggle to take our chances but if they become disconnected - that is where the game would unfold.
  2. Tyson Fury fights on his own terms and is one of the worst to avoid fighting people he believes would beat him. If he thinks there's a chance, he screws them out of money by demanding more of the fights prize money as a way to try to force his opponent into saying no. Anthony Joshua I do think could with Fury, but it could go down to who boxers better on the day. Fury is a very irritating character, the way he treated Oleksandr Usyk before and after their fight shows what a gutter ball he is. AJ treats his opponents with respect and is by far the better professional. I like that he came out saying that he wouldn't retire and wanted to speak after the fight, despite being advised not to do it. That is a further sign of respect. I wouldn't rule him out of going for a championship title again, but he needs to work harder and train well. I personally think he should keep away from television shows during periods where he's expected to fight, stick to the gym and training.
  3. I didn't listen to the game, or watch it. So, I can't really vote on who should be given the man of the match.
  4. Yes, it's very good. One of my favourites featuring Nicolas Cage.
  5. Just mix the team up a bit, bring in some of the players who haven't had many minutes so far. I don't value the EFL trophy at all. I think throwing a too weakened squad would be negative, but I would consider seeing what Brown is like as a striker and resting some of our key players. Only some, it's not something I would take seriously. I wished Notts could pull out of it, like they did with the F.A Cup (which should have been taken seriously). It's one game, unless you progress. Not a series of pointless group games.
  6. I hope you enjoy watching the DVD, Robbie. I keep thinking about watching something at night, but I tend to struggle to find something that interests me. One thing that keeps jumping out is - "Trapped in Paradise". I'm taking today, a little slower. I need to finish off my prints and I forgot to publish a Notts Alumni yesterday. So, I'll reset and start again on the Sunday coming up. I don't feel unwell, but I have done something to my throat as it's sore, and I sound croaky. I think I need to rest my vocal cord. A weekend of shouting, chanting and singing (at home too) hasn't been a smart choice.
  7. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Shannon Daly. I hope you enjoy being a part of our Notts County community.
  8. I normally always take a picture of the attendance that is shown on the scoreboard, yesterday, I didn't. It seems strange thinking back that I didn't, but then again, I stopped taking pictures after the Sam Austin goal was ruled out - possibly before that. I remember hearing the announcement, just not the amount. It could just be written off as the officials and frustration lead to the mistake, it's easily done. Maybe a note or message was given incorrectly? Upon reviewing my photos, I noticed that Meadow Lane appears bustling in areas that typically wouldn't see such activity, even with a crowd of 11,000.
  9. There's only a minimal amount of hate expressed, the rest is criticism and a bit of being a meme. I like him, but he's not always the right option to lead the national team now. If he does, then we need to adapt the formation and make sure he's supported. I don't think he should be dropping deep any more and his energy levels should be reserved. I don't get why some people verbally abused him during the World Cup, it wasn't a lack of effort but a mixture of poor form, bad tactics and tiredness. Simply, he shouldn't have been guaranteed to start. Without him, I don't think we'd make the final. At least not having some form of playing time in all the games, he just needed to play every group game. There should be a level of respect for what he's achieved, as in his younger days he at times carried England. Much like how Wayne Rooney and David Beckham did.

Faces of PON 24-25: Gillingham (H)

Pride of Nottingham's Chris was back at Meadow Lane taking pictures throughout this past Saturday's game against Gillingham. Despite the frustration on the pitch, and the disappointing 1-0 defeat. The magpies will come back stronger, take a look to see if you feature in the Faces of PON gallery.
