  1. Off the top of my head, there are quite a few that I would classify as silly. Dolph Lundgren starred in a film which is one of my favourite 'cult classics', but there are a lot of silly parts to the story and aspects which make little sense if you are a He-Man fan. IMDbMasters of the Universe (1987) ⭐ 5.4 | Action, Adventure,...1h 46m | PGIt's a good film to watch on a quiet Sunday, when you find time to sit down and watch something you shouldn't take too seriously. What makes it silly to me is largely the story and how it becomes almost Star Wars inspired. It does well to tell a story about the Cosmic Key; the start builds tension and brings in a character that I don't believe was in the original animated cartoon. Once on Earth, it becomes a bit wacky with a "random cow" roaming near a Southern fried chicken joint? I mean, it works, but it does feel like parts were thrown together and elements of popular movies were thrown in to make it seem cool. Such as the police officer being the principal from "Back to the Future." The silliness continues at the end, when you learn how he sees out the film. The next film I will share, is one I only learned about a few years ago whilst on holiday at Skegness. IMDbFreaked (1993) ⭐ 6.4 | Comedy, Sci-Fi1h 26m | 15Freaked is very goofy; the silliness is aimed at making you laugh, and it does a good job. The whole story is wacky, and it seems very underrated. Randy Quaid always made me laugh in the films he starred in; a very good actor, and I didn't know he was a serious actor before he took on many of the slapstick titles he did. If you saw a film during the 90s with him in it, it would be worth watching. Can anyone name the film where he plays the neighbour from hell? It stars James Wood; I know what it is, but I am doing this for conversation. 😉 In the film Freaked, former child actor played by, Alex Winter takes on the role of the public representative for a corporation named EES. Everything Except Shoes... 🤣 Quaid performs as a captivating freak show entertainer who turns visitors into his Freaks.
  2. Crewe have always been a hard-working team that likes to attack and counter the opposition. They have some very good technical players in their squad, such as Joel Tabiner (ligament injury) and Jack Lankester. They will be missing Tabiner, as he is like their Matt Palmer, very good at holding the ball and leading the line with simple, and clever passes. Lankester is attacking-minded and offers flair, unlocking defences and a very sharp intellect on the pitch. Part of the reason Crewe have been so good so far is largely down to how excellent their midfield is. I would single out Tom Booth as a potential weakness, and if we can't exploit the way he goes missing when good teams are attacking, I would be disappointed. Sam Waller is a better keeper, in my opinion. Defensively is where Crewe can fall apart, and their manager Lee Bell has been calling out their form and results as not being acceptable. I think he will be looking to make them tighter, and I wouldn't be surprised if they change from having a back four to offering an extra man in midfield and matching our formation more closely. I'm expecting the game to be very end-to-end and scrappy in spells. Getting someone like Jodi on the ball might calm things down, so I hope we try to play passing, attacking football.
  3. Despite daily reminders, and being nagged by @super_ram and told on the day by @cheeky~k8, I forgot to do the last round. I like comparing the leagues and fixures late at night before I go bed, instead of randomly guessing or half hearted research. 5. Things will feel normal after a while, though it's not something I would worry about. I can understand those who travel being concerned about the data that is wanted and the challenges some of that data could face. I don't know, haven't you heard of JKEStar? There might be tax implications for you, particularly in Skegness. 😅
  6. It might be a challenge to win once you sign over the ownership by EFL rules: you take on the historical debts, and it's up to you to do your due diligence. 7 million is a lot of money to be concerned about; it does make me wonder if the court challenge is due to the new owner not having the funding to take things on. Alan Hardy claimed that he was subjected to historical debts which weren't covered during the sale, but I always felt that was him lashing out at the childish games between him and the Trews. At least in my opinion, and he did tweet stuff about considering pursueing action but nothing ever came of it.
  7. Happy to see you spread some awareness to someone who applies their trade well. 👍🏻 Remember the days when you could indulge in anything you wanted without worrying about gaining weight? I have cut out a lot of sugar since being told I am pre-diabetic, I don't drink alchol very often and I try to drink as much water as possible. Nestle Pure Life has a nice taste as far as water comes, but I am determined to follow your steps and lose weight. Hopefully, you enjoyed your mini night out and find a way to counter it.
  8. Accounts awaiting approval are displayed as registered. It's going to be a little tricky to know if an account is a real person, or if it's just another bot/spam account.
  9. Right now, I would have him above Jacob Bedeau and any other defender. His form is very stable right now, and he seems in a routine, but this can change. Based on his starts so far, he's done nothing to be replaced, and no other centre back has done enough to claim the centre of our defence. I wonder if Jacob Bedeau would be more consistent out wide, which could be something to explore once Matty Platt is 100%. I think it's very important to acknowledge players who are in form, instead of just accepting it because maintaining it does seem a lot harder than some fans think. Being a professional doesn't mean you will always be at your best; giving 100% isn't always a reflection on their ability to impact games.
  10. Unfortunately, it seems to be one of those spam bot accounts. Therefore, I have banned the account. If I am mistaken, please reach out to me via the contact menu, but there are a lot of suspicious aspects, such as joining from a spam post which has been deleted. Being from Jordan, I don't know of any supporter groups there.
  11. Alassana Jatta and Jodi Jones are two players I am sure would still be crucial players. I would add Will Jarvis, but I am starting to wonder if he's a real person or if we have dreamt him up. Matthew Dennis, I think, would show promise, but it's important to have good players opening up those attacking positions, and I do think he would continue to do well if Notts were to gain promotion; Matt Palmer could easily do League One, as I think Scott Robertson would be able to set up. Conor Grant might be more useful, as League One is less pressured than League Two, and he might find more time to influence matches. I don't hold much hope for Ollie Norburn to be anything more than a squad player, but he could settle and prove me wrong that he's got more about him. He should be capable of playing League One, but I wouldn't think he'd make my starting 11 often if I were to choose it. I have my reservations about Jack Hinchy and Mai Traore; however, Traore may thrive in League One for reasons similar to those that benefit Grant. Keanan Bennetts looks like a good attacking option, but I worry his defensive downfalls wouldn't be all that useful if we were to gain promotion. I would like to see him showing signs of improvement in this area, but I wouldn't think he would be one of the clear candidates. Nick Tsaroulla and Kellan Gordon are both good players. I really like Tsaroulla and have called for him to be a regular starter, but he is a little inconsistent at times. Far less than Gordon, who is very frustrating as you can see he's capable but doesn't deliver on his ability all that often. Both should be fine at League One level, but Gordon convinces me less. Lewis Macari still shows a lot of potential, and I think he will be fine. Lucas Ness gives me doubts based solely on his injury history, but his ability should be good enough; however, I don't think we can carry players who get injured so easily. Matty Platt and Jacob Bedeau could both be vital defenders, but truth be told, both would need to be more consistent and step up their performances based on this season. Rod McDonald should be perfectly fine to do his role, provided his legs stay strong. Being 33, he should have a few more seasons in him. Kelle Roos might be perfectly fine; I can't comment on the two other keepers on our books because I haven't seen them enough.
