I have spoken before about where signing young players in a good established team which can give the foundation for all players to thrive is a beneficial part to squad building. He will have plenty of potential, reading comments and having browsed Everton fan sites a lot of their fans seem surprised he's not joined a League One team. I know this is quite common, just look at Josh Martin for intense, but the signing does come with a large amount of prospect. Fans just need to be mindful he might require time to settle, and he most likely won't be a ready replacement for Dan Crowley. Yet for the future, there's no reason why he couldn't, and we just need to provide him with the platform to flourish. The majority of fans will welcome him, and even better, we have a mixture of experience where he can further learn from within a first-team environment. George Abbott could very well help him early on, due to them being near the same age. Signing sensible, good prospects like this is what teams at our level must do to be more competitive.

He's not someone I have come across much of, but it's always good to have cover and at this stage having another tall defender on our books wouldn't be a bad thing. I mean, it makes perfect sense in terms of his position and the fact he arrives to us on loan. Nobody can complain we aren't treating this transfer window as a chance to get things right, although I do hope to see maybe one more signing. I welcome Zak Johnson, and I eagerly await seeing him make his debut for us.

It's not so much the money, it's the way it's been conducted and how little respect he's shown the club. He's a journeyman as @Robbie said, so there's no validation in his comments about 'exciting project' because he said it was arriving at us. His ego is coming through, which is my biggest problem.

Unfortunately the patch created a bug which released the payment gateway tokens. This has since been resolved, but unfortunately we have to appeal to members to renew (obviously with payments being sensitive). I'm very sorry about this.

Nothing great about MK Dons. But new signings will say anything to win over the fans, the thing MK Don's fans need to consider here is what happens when he decides that MK Dons aren't big enough. Refuses their contracts and ends up leaving on a free? It wouldn't surprise me if this didn't happen. It's a shame really, as I would like to have wished him well but the vibe I get - I just don't care to be honest. We have to use this to fuel our bid for promotion, I hope we don't get wrapped up with competition with MK Dons like we did with Wrexham. I would like us to view it, as a way to really drive us forward though. Dan Crowley has been a good player; there's no denying it. Yes, he might have been inconsistent at times, but I am happier knowing players want to be here.

I haven't, but if you have ever been to Birmingham there are parts where you wouldn't escape seeing one of their franchise restaurants, so something must be working. We took a look one time, but the menu and price put us off from considering it. This was quite a few years ago, but despite one seeming to always follow us - they tended to be full. Have a wonderful time.

Whilst I declare my love for cheese, I haven't had a 4-season pizza, but it does sound nice. My Italian friends disproved of my preferences when I once ate with them (Italian Magpies), but we all agreed that forks shouldn't be used. I can't agree that the only toppings must be cheese. There used to be a chippy near to me called "Collin's", they did a lovely spicy sausage pizza, which wasn't all that spicy at all. It tasted just like a typical Lincolnshire sausage, with some nice herbs. If I could get that again, I would choose it on occasions over pineapple and ham. Then again, I do prefer bacon in general over ham. I think it's safe to say, I campaign for other toppings. 🤣 He's like the phantom of the opera; I do believe I have spoken once with Piethagoram. Every other time, I have failed. I still need to look out for a fan wearing a Notts shirt in the Pavis Stand and potentially has a notebook. My advantage now is if I can walk round the Pavis with a nice steaming hot hawaiian pizza. The game is afoot!

I am very sceptical of most of what Dan says here: It's very reminiscent of his arrival at Meadow Lane, but there are some comments which seem a little ungrateful for his time here. "exciting project", "can get to the top" - 'impressed with Scott Lindsey for what he did at Crawley'. MK Dons in the past have played good football, but it's been awhile since they have been a consistent team. Some players leave acknowledging their former club, but it seems the real Dan Crowley has an ego.

I am debating this question in my head, and the answer isn't as clear, and so I will wait to see how the new signings do and how Stuart Maynard might be impacted with the departure of Dan Crowley. Our team is highly competitive. I do have every faith in the ability and quality that remains. Do we need to look for a replacement in the AM position? I really don't know. Conor Grant and Curtis Edwards look capable, but I just wonder if we have made ourselves a little limited in that area at the expense of strengthening elsewhere.

The clubs put on a bit of a bandage at the bottom, with the mention of Will Jarvis and Charlie Whitaker having signed. Yet it speaks more volumes by the inclusion of 'Dan’s expectations exceeded what we were prepared to offer'. Notts do have to handle these types of statements well, because we all know how some fans can react, but there's nothing within the statement or what has been published to give us any indication that it was our decision. I'm very disappointed, but not with the club because we can only offer what is in our means. This to me gives the impression that Dan Crowley's head has been turned by the interest in him, and whilst I am disappointed in him because it seems solely about money. I do understand that a player's career is limited, and therefore would want to maximise what they can earn. It doesn't sit all that well with me regardless of that, I also wonder how much Crowley's agent played a role in this? Notts has done the right thing, whilst some fans will want us to throw money at our best players, this doesn't make the club sustainable and if anything can impact the club further when it comes to strengthening. It will be interesting, what with Aaron Nemane being booed, how those fans will react to Crowley's departure. I don't see the point, but in terms of behaviour it does lean into Crowley's absence at times having been somewhat close to the rumours circling at the time which I didn't believe about him wanting to move. It seems he has forced our decision, and that seems quite disrespectful. A player wanting to make a move before a new season is not the worst scenario.

@Piethagoram I'm going to track you down at Meadow Lane, and give you a Hawaiian pizza. As much as I do love pineapple on pizza I wouldn't pay more than £15 for one. The Norwich restaurant needs to be blacklisted, if there was ever anything worth being cancelled its shady practices such as this.

We are implementing some changes, which mean that members can no longer sign in with their usernames but instead with their emails. If you use Facebook, Microsoft, Google, or Apple, this change won't affect you. However, I would strongly encourage all members to ensure their account has a physical password too. A physical password is one that is encrypted within our database. If you are unable to access one of the above services, all you need to know is your email and that physical password. Over the years, some users have privacy emails provided by services like Apple. Accounts with temporary and false emails will no longer be accepted here. If you don't wish to be contacted or receive emails, you have the option to opt out and change your notification settings. However, opting out of email notifications would prevent you from staying informed about what is going on within the Pride of Nottingham community, such as comments and responses. I highly recommend transitioning to grouped emails, which are less frequent. Recently, a major error caused the Pride of Nottingham site to be down for a considerable amount of time this past Sunday. In the future, I will set up a way for members to stay updated with events like this, outside of social media for security reasons. I will also ask for permission to send emails to those who want updates in the rare event the site experiences issues. This is to keep members better informed. I acknowledge that it's not productive to have areas with good intentions that are irregularly updated. I will look into what can be changed to ensure everything is up to a useful standard. Stripe is a leading payment gateway, that's what PON's system uses to process payments. PON doesn't store any information, that's where Stripe comes into it. Most online sites use them for processing payments, due to convenience and security. FAO: Subscribers. A recent 'patch' has caused subscriptions to automatically cancel from the point it had been installed. I have confirmed with @Dripsey3 that PayPal has cancelled those are active, but from our end it's still showing as active. I am in talks with how to resolve this matter, but to renew again would mean a payment would be taken twice. This is unfair to subscribers and challenging for the site. No double payments have been processed. This issue might only affect PayPal, as looking into Stripe it seems subscribers have remained active. If not, members subscriptions might expire, but this will not affect any benefits which might be claimed. Once I can confirm, you can either re-subscribe or choose to remain inactive. If you are effected, and wish to continue supporting us by subscribing - I will walk you through the process closer to the time of your potential next payment cycle. It looks as if Stripe is okay, but I apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

I think Matty Platt's performance has gone somewhat unnoticed because he was a vital part of the backline. I thought he was superb at the back, and stood out within my top five performances (he actually earned my vote in the Man of the Match poll). Jacob Bedeau also did very well, although at times he did risk picking up more yellows if not more with some of those lovely timed barges/pushes on the advancing Bradford players. Bradford City passed the ball around quite well, and prior to our goals they did seem to be testing Alex Bass more. David McGoldrick is the glue that gets us playing; his relentless effort to get us moving forward really put a halt to the passing backwards prior to our opening goal. There was a lot of sighing prior to that, and I understand it opens up the opposition, but it can be wasteful. It was a bit disappointing when McGoldrick had the chance, where he wasted it by not shooting - despite plenty of time, but he really did make up with it. City was quite poor, but their fans until we scored I thought were brilliant. Walking out when the 2nd goal went in, I think that is pathetic support. I have seen Notts get battered away to Rotherham United sat in the home end, and never dreamt of leaving. Credit to the fans who stayed, the numbers were really great to see, and I think we all hoped that their players would make a game of it. Unfortunately, they were poor. Some Notts fans think we don't stand up for other selves, and have no 'dirty' side to our play. Yet if anyone watched Platt and Bedeau, then you will know they took no nonsense from Bradford. Callum Kavanagh, he had those antics I don't like to see from players. Pulling on Bass's shirt, not just when he tried to get him to drop the ball but from corners. I loved seeing him get his comeuppance with being flattered. When he put his reckless challenge on Sam Austin, it just made him more of a target and honestly, it was great to see from us because it made him very ineffective. Second half, I didn't think we were that good. There were spells, and chances came, but we gave the ball away too much. Bass's distribution was awful, but so was the passing of the majority of the final 45 minutes. It highlights just how poor Bradford are, when they couldn't take advantage of it. For about 30 minutes, we relied on defending and Bass to stop them from scoring, so the clean sheet feels all the more special. It was a great win, but I noticed the players arrived later than usual. It ignited speculation that the club was convening in response to Salford's performance. I doubt anything special would have been arranged, as leading to games players go through the previous game. Also, what is this about Dan Crowley wanting to leave after the end of last season? There’s an overwhelming amount of gossip that feels completely irrelevant in terms of need at this point in time. It just seems designed to drag up negativity, which is very counterproductive.

We are forgetting that what Luke Williams says to the media is all part of his management style, and although I think his criticism during our home performance against Forest Green Rovers - particularly the second half performance was very harsh, leading to our poor form and downward spiral. I do think this type of approach never works out well, but Williams does try to get the players to take some pride in the performances they give. Sometimes it works, often it seems to ruin morale. Swansea still have some players who don't really meet the standard he probably wants, and the message is probably more directed to them. I like his honesty. I am sure he's very upfront with the players at his disposal, but I can't see their board sacking him over this or their recent results. As for Swansea players sticking up two fingers, which isn't I have read on this - the only real way is by improving and doing their best.

I thought Matty Platt was class in defence, with Jacob Bedeau also being a big part in the performance too. Alex Bass did well in goal, but his distribution was questionable. I don't think Alassana Jatta deserves the Man of the Match. I thought he was good but nowhere near the level of others put in. David McGoldrick played a good role in what made us dig deep and take the game to Bradford. Without him relentlessly trying to get us to play forward, instead of passing out at the back we wouldn't have scored any of the goals. Dan Crowley also played well in spells, but not quite to the level we tend to expect from him. All the squad put in a good performance though; it was great to see Jatta score twice - he could have had 3 quite easily.
