Joe Jones: There will NEVER be a "Nottinghamshire City FC"
The Nottinghamshire FC thing must have been bait, you can't really suggest two teams merge and choose that as a rational 'suggestion' for the clubs name. And besides, we are quite happy (as will Forest fans). Our problem is more with the direction our owners have been leading the two clubs, luckily for us we have been taken over but I couldn't imagine any of my red friends would think differently. Many opposition fans speak of how much history Notts have, again same for Forest but together? There would be no meaning. It simply wouldn't be the same.

Alan Hardy on Notts County ownership: 'I feel I am still dreaming'
It sounds quite positive from his perspective, the price of the purchase and the additional fee's found doesn't seem to have phased him which is good. Hopefully he will continue to connect with the community the thing about Notts is there's plenty of people who want good for this club -yet the core is quite small in comparison to other clubs of our side. Time to change that and to build for the future.

Match Discussion: Game 36 - Monkey Hangers (H)
Hartlepool can be there for the taking if we play carefully and well. They have a decent midfield with plenty of energy and good options up front, for me they have a weak keeper (who should on paper be better) and a terrible defence - that creates panic and chaos. If they defend well, generally they play good attacking football. For me they have an issue with getting tactical instructions across to players who aren't as experienced but have potential. Hopefully we will be quite direct, flooding their box with plenty of crosses and well taken set pieces. Also shooting from distance should create good opportunities because their keeper isn't as practical. He will either overreact or knock it into the penalty area which can be quite dangerous, so hopefully we just make them scramble and take any chances. Provided we don't allow them to play their a game, we should do well.

Alex West: Stevenage give Notts County vital reminder of how quickly football can change
I think we should see better against Hartlepool, so I have to say although I was shocked by the three goals - it was more due to believing our players would maintain their upper game (instead of relapsing). I'm not overly concerned by this result. Stevenage are by far one of the luckiest teams in this league, which only highlights how average it is this campaign.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Boro (A)
Clackstone is a young player who at times does seem to have class but I think if a youngster is struggling - you either get someone experienced to assist them (helps them to step their game up/gives 'em confidence) or you remove them. It might sound harsh, but this seems to have been forgotten. I have seen many fans suggested that he needed replacing, so if you can't drop him, change your tactics or try to move him into a different position whereby someone else may cope better. That said, I feel Stevenage wasn't special at all from the highlights and somewhat lucky. Good team play, I take nothing from that but their goals could have easily been prevented. If you watch their game against Orient, you will see just how much luck they have. Though I'm hoping we can see heads lift again for Saturday because the defeat leaves us requiring to push on again, whereas a draw would have taken some pressure off. If our form dips again, it's going to be harder.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Boro (A)
I'm eagerly awaiting both clubs highlights to see just how differently they play this season - I'm going to assume much of this is down to confidence and good team work (rather than ability).

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Boro (A)
Erm, what's happening? Are Stevenage really this good, or have we relapsed into idleness? Well, I think I may have vastly underrated Stevenage but never did I think Notts would fall this far during the game. I'm really curious to learn fans opinions on this, Though I bet a certain minority of chaos driven free-for-alls are happy mind.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Boro (A)
If we can keep the ball on the ground and play with confidence, we shouldn't worry - if they make us play 'the long ball' and get physical. Well it will go down to testing people's characters. Stevenage are one of this divisions most average teams. Go, conquer and claim another impressive performance. Let's out play them, out think 'em and just go for it. COYP!

Elliott Hewitt hails trust in Notts County centre-back partnership
I've always liked and rated, however until his reappearance in the squad - it really was difficult to see him having a future. I think it shows how important a solid back line is, along with having someone who can mentor and bring the best out of people. I'd have him in my squad any day of the week when he works hard. Hopefully this continues, as I do feel he can prove a lot here.

Alex West: Is the Alan Hardy era the real deal?
The Munto era was very surreal, though I always being fan owned and remaining 'a family club' would be the best outcome. I was concerned we would lose this with the millions that was reportedly available to us - I think we lost more of our supporters base and family feel under the previous regime. Alan Hardy has been refreshing since he arrived and the appointment of Kevin Nolan so far has been an outstanding decision. It just goes to show just how impressive things can be when everything sings from the same sheet, from the top of the club to the supporters. Hopefully we can build some solid foundations to bring success within the new two campaigns, yet I will settle for stability. Brilliant article Alex.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Boro (A)
Stevenage are a more physical side, yet they're nothing to be fear. I was pleased to see we didn't go to Plymouth just to defend, so that same attitude needs to be applied here - yet we need to be wary of how Stevenage like to control games. I doubt they will give us a lot of time on the ball. So we will need to make the most of what we can build, I think set pieces will be the key to breaking them down. If I was Nolan, I'd practice a couple of drills - mixing from corners and free kicks, in an effort to see if we can create the time required to get good chances. However, Notts should show no fear! No prediction but I feel very, very confident. COYP

Match Report: Notts County edge further away from drop zone with win at Plymouth Argyle
Good things come to those who wait, want it and work hard. So pleased for Notts! After the last three years, we deserve a little something to celebrate and I hope we can soon safety say we are a League Two team next season. What doesn't break you only makes you stronger and all that stuff.

Match Discussion: Game 34 - The Pilgrims (A)
Did anyone else hear the moans and whines from the Plymouth fans virtually every minute? It was quite amusing, and I kept thinking 'how we've been there' but I don't think they created a very good atmosphere - it probably only encourage our players and fans (who sounded up for it even before kick-off). It was a fantastic performance and hopefully it over shadows last Tuesday (which it should do). We can't win every game but I'd take a win over Plymouth any day of the week, rather than a loss or win over Yeovil (if we could only have one or the other). The point is massive block towards the confidence in which Nolan is building. What is these clean sheets we are getting now? Massive change but we need to keep our focus. I don't think Nolan will allow anyone to lose that or their belief. COYP!

Kevin Nolan hails "perfect performance" from Notts County at Plymouth Argyle
Kevin called the tactics right yesterday, after reading comments on Twitter - I did worry that we had setup to park the bus (or do a Yeovil as a few suggested). The performance may be one we look back on and say this is where we pushed on and secured our league status, very confident right now - Kevin Nolan is a fantastic find for us. Great result yesterday also.

Match Discussion: Game 34 - The Pilgrims (A)
I always hoped my comment above would be wrong, how decent is Nolan becoming? There was some negatives over the line-up which was chosen. Going into the second half with the 1-0 will be massive for us. We need to come out confident in the second half and avoid cards at all cost! COYP
