Match Discussion: Game 41 - The Boro (H)
I heard the Kop chant to Fullarton several times - always asking for a wave, all received boo's. Some will say fans didn't give JF a chance, but he didn't try to win anyone over a way from the press box. Mark Cooper acknowledging the fans shows how support can be a big thing. It encouraged the kop even more, and although it seems small - I think the relationship between fan and manager is important. In Cooper we trust!

Match Discussion: Game 33 - The Pools (H)
Think for once we can go with some real confidence, Cooper could turn around our fortunes again Hartlepool - we very rarely manage a good result against 'em.

Match Discussion: Game 41 - The Boro (H)
The performance was good, each player working for the squad and its certainly much more promising under Cooper. For me, the attacking play just needs to pause at the key moments, we waste the excellent build-up play. If we just took a little more time, I think our finishing would he better. 3 goals two of which was disallowed. I can't fault it. We look reasonable in defence, midfield strong and chances up top. We just need to calm it down, then take our time with the finishing. Just had a goal disallowed whilst writing this! Good goal, just a shame it was offside COYP

Mark Cooper calls for Notts County fringe players to step up amid injury crisis
At least it gives Cooper a proper chance to check out the depth of squad, now's the time review and make 'em fight to be seen 'as good enough'. Good core, so not much building requires but some will have to take this chance. COYP!

Match Discussion: Game 41 - The Boro (H)
@Fozzy I see your taking the 'Fozzingham' comparison on board. PON expects fit and ready player upon your return, there's no escaping your home work! 200 words on the outcome of said missed game due in before by the following Monday. -- I think the majority will be vastly up for this game, as it's a great opportunity for Mark Cooper. We only need a few points to confirm safety, I'm not worried about that - I just want to achieve it ASAP however. The players will enjoy the games better having it out of their minds and I'm sure it will be said x, y or z isn't even thinking of it but as a player you will most likely acknowledge any negative outcome when your not quite out of that woods (only results change that).

Isn't it something like 5-0? (in-house joke)

Report: Notts County to be sold this week
I would hope these reports are true, we need that stability back in the pipeline and I know there's people worried about the future but really it will be nice to have this settled, we can then focus on the football. Good luck to all parties involved (I still hope for Hardy to purchase Notts).
-
Thierry Audel: “We want to enjoy the rest of the season”
I am sure if the players enjoy themselves, so will we as fans. Cooper's doing a good job settling the players down, bringing back that confidence and organization which we require. It's clear because certain players are re-finding their form and are being more of an asset for us. COYP

Northampton manager says Notts County have been "badly managed"
I do think we would have been better off if we had took Cooper on in the first place, you never know but to a degree I wished third party people would limit their views. I just think his focus should be on 'promotion' for Northampton, it seems like a bandwagon since JF was sacked.

Notts County produce impressive performance to hold Northampton Town to 2-2 away draw
I'm impressed by the performance, it is a shame because we conceded after scoring the penalty - perhaps we should have been given a free kick but you can't grumble. As I say, the team put another shift in and did the unexpected. The 2-2 shows we are now making progress and that is the important thing. It's 1 vital point we perhaps wouldn't have gotten before. Well done to the players and Mark Cooper.

Notts Joe: 'I hope toxicity leaves Notts County for good'
Like so many Notts County fans, I had big hopes for the 2015/16 season. I generally do get ‘excited’ at the start of any season, but this time round things felt different. Pre-season we seemed to be building a robust squad, unlike previous years – Ricardo Moniz took to assembling a squad, which at face value had a lot of character. The arrival of so many unknown players really gave the spark to light up my hopes because they looked technically very good, albeit against lower non-league opposition at first. However, for me the captures of Graham Burke and Adam Campbell really impressed. Seeing Notts having signed two youngsters, who I was well aware, had potential really gave me more encouragement – whilst the arrival of Scott Loach announced at the Carlton friendly felt somewhat surreal, as it meant Notts would have two solid keepers, who within their own rights would be fit to start as a regular no.1 for most teams above League Two. I headed to Stevenage at the beginning of the season with so much confidence for the year ahead; I never once felt that by this stage Notts would be sitting on 41 points, glued to 19th place and with the real possibility that they could slip further down. However, despite the two previous campaigns ending in a fair amount of disappointment – the confidence of a new start really did resonate with me. I should probably acknowledge at this point, it did take some initial time to process the fact we ended up being related back to fourth division of English football. However, the way seasons turn out is something which I do accept – It’s the passion and pride of supporting a lower tier club, one which the ‘local roots’ hold a firm grip with my family that I cherish. So, back to Stevenage. Where did it all go wrong? I left the game feeling very entertained, having witnessed Notts produce some of the best football I had done for years. Yet somewhere along the lines (and I believe our home defeat to Mansfield didn’t help) the pride and togetherness of the players disappeared – as did the performances. Matters only made worse by the departure of Moniz and the arrival of Jamie Fullarton. Whether certain players found it difficult to cope with expectations, I am unsure. If the fact we weren’t winning every other game or really contending for promotion put others off – I don’t think it makes much difference but from a point of view from the fan. Rewinding back, you really can see how the 2015/16 campaign really unravelled before our very eyes. I suspect it’s a combination of ‘confidence’, ‘expectations’, ‘disappointment’ and to a degree both prior managers making poor uninformed decisions when it came to their squad selections. I’m just pleased that under Mark Cooper some of the positivity has been restored, as I will openly admit I have felt extremely uninspired during Jamie Fullarton’s reign. It’s with that I hope the turmoil and ‘toxicity’ (a word I heard a lot of around Meadow Lane during that period) doesn’t return, that we may finally be able to push on and secure a bright future eventually. Whilst talk of next season seems ‘bleak’ when there are so many unknowns, I am fully committed to fight for the love of the team I support. Like Joe Jones, I find myself wanting to end the current campaign and for the next to begin. But I want us to try and do it the right way.

Notts County to replace Juventus in pre-season International Champions Cup
It caught quite a few but everyone's taken it in good spirit, some brilliant comments and response from Notts fans. I even got a couple of DM's from Juve fans asking me when the dates was for the competition as they wanted to attend. I imagine this is somewhat how the Grinch feels but it's funny.

Notts County earn valuable point in goalless draw against Wycombe Wanderers
Well Notts bravely fought for the point and Cooper's right, we should have won but that's not a negative for me. The players gave 100%, it may have been slow building but we don't expect things to happen instantly. I think it's a performance which we can build and grow on. COYP!

Match Discussion: Game 39 - The Chairboys (H)
I'm pleased by the response from the players, we all knew the fans will get behind them and the club - it was just the fallout of disappointment etc. I felt very proud today, which is the opposite to how I felt going or even before the match. I still have the feeling of we can't score, so will we defend? but honestly, they did a good job today and although a couple of players I felt played a little below average it was a good team performance. It's not going to help confidence to mention anything more but it was the first game, which I felt we could actually get something. Murray made the difference, he played his heart out. McLeod did alright, he needs a boost of confidence. Thompson and Aborah for me, they did a good job today. However, all the players deserve credit. COYP
-
Match Discussion: Game 39 - The Chairboys (H)
Lively start by Notts but we need to keep it down, early corner so there's pressure and at the moment we are keeping 'em quiet. Hopefully the fans can keep singing, very impressive response by the loyal kop.

Match Discussion: Game 39 - The Chairboys (H)
I would have preferred if the game had of been called off, two reasons but one it would allow Mark Cooper more time to work with his squad. Last night sounded very bad, my French doors actually sounded like someone was knocking very loudly and frequently. I honestly thought by now that the game would have been called off, credit to the ground staff who must be working hard to make the pitch to the level it doesn't require an inspection. Fingers crossed this isn't the only 'luck' we have today. COYP!

Mark Cooper tells Notts County players: 'Your careers are on the line'
Likely likely. The defending has been woeful, it looked better when JF first came in but completely disappeared not long after. The players should be playing for their right to be selected for Notts. Including their future to remain here, I hope MC can get the best out of 'em.
-
Liam Noble: 'Notts County can't defend'
Liam's had plenty of time to say this already, which for me sort of times the meaning a way. I would have preferred to see him say he'll work hard and lead the midfield, which is something we are desperate for. I would love to see the fire in his play return, when we used to look of it - he looked like one of few who wanted to change it.
-
Match Discussion: Game 39 - The Chairboys (H)
@medievalmickey MC did at Swindon right? At least I think he was known for giving youngsters a chance, as I recall some comments back when you first started getting Spurs youngsters on loan - 'Ours have done well enough' (along those lines). It would be good to get the first home win for a long time but I'm concerned that the rot has set in and it may take Cooper longer than I thought to correct things. We can't loan anyone now though right?
