I’m forcing myself to watch Notts right now, wondering why we’ve arranged friendlies just to be second-tier German teams’ whipping boys. I know it’s only a friendly, but it’s not the losing, it’s the lack of competition that’s hard to watch.

The only reason I haven’t turned it off is the hope of seeing some useful changes in the second half. Honestly, I’d rather be out baking in the sun.

Notts have arranged pre-season friendlies against teams we’re unlikely to compete with. The matches aren’t very entertaining, and I keep feeling like switching them off.

Number 14 made a brilliant run and won us a free kick, which led to a chance. Still, I kept wondering why he didn’t pass the ball out wide. I don’t mind players being a little greedy, but it doesn’t help the team, especially if the referee doesn’t give the foul.

To be honest, I think Notts could look overseas again when bringing someone in. I’d be surprised if we didn’t end up signing someone from a smaller European country this time.

There’s so much talent out there, and as long as the work permit or placement isn’t a problem, I really think we might do just that.

He’s a player capable of making an impact, but he tends to be inconsistent. I don’t think Aberdeen rated him much, just look at the amount of swearing here. 🤣

I prefer Puma’s designs, but we really can’t be wearing the same shirts as those Cods.

Good in spells, showed promise, and had a decent burst of speed but was mostly inconsistent.

It has a strong retro 90s feel. It’s nice, but it’s not the best Notts shirt I’ve seen.

I didn’t watch the game, and to be honest, this is the first I’ve heard about it, but now I want to see it.

Luke Williams returning one day would be something I’d like to see, but I don’t think now is the right time for us. Like with Stuart Maynard, some fans won’t be happy because of how he left. There are always a few who complained whenever his name was mentioned, as if nobody could acknowledge or appreciate someone who gave us one of the most memorable seasons.

Knowing how some people choose to react, I can see them being frustrating about Williams.

He always looks fed up and very serious. I think he could be a decent enough assistant if he puts in the effort and doesn’t just lean on his name.

Imagine the egg on the faces of those who didn’t like Maynard even when he was doing well for us, and were calling for him to go after just one defeat, if Joao Alves ends up getting the job. 🤣

I think its a kit thing with puma being notoriously slow, but they tend to be worth the wait. Promotion would be nice!

I think it’s the process of talking to coaches, other clubs wanting to appoint their own managers, and the board making arrangements before finalising anything. I’m not worried, but I find it interesting to see what people think.

It’s a great showcase for some players who could attract interest from professional clubs. A good read.

I go straight to the game, so I only set off when it’s close to the ground opening. I do enjoy walking around the KOP, seeing who I know and checking if people have turned up for the match. There is a social side to the games that I like, but the football is always the main event, even if it’s not the prettiest.
