  1. Macaulay Langstaff finding the net always seems like a sign that Notts are doing things right. It was always a matter of when he would start scoring in League Two. I am pleased that Luke Williams sees the importance of having a striker who not only scores but is also a warrior and a leader by example on the pitch. His work rate is a bonus for leading the front line for Notts. I hope he scores plenty more and continues to enjoy his football injury-free.
  2. I wish Southend all the best in their difficult situation. Good luck to them.
  3. Luke Williams speaks confidently and openly, and his thoughts on games often align with mine. It has been a while since a manager has been so focused on what is happening, what needs to be improved, and where the team is heading. May it continue for a long time.
  4. Top quality from Notts Yesterday. Hope we keep this momentum going!
  5. As a dedicated PON viewer, I thank you, Chris, for creating such an incomparable platform to relive these invaluable memories. Even those of us who can't always make it to Meadow Lane can feel a part of the crowd through your photographs. Your continued commitment to keeping this feature alive, despite your struggles with anxiety, is something we are all grateful for and root for.
  6. Brindley's approach to his new role bodes well for Notts County. His adaptability in the face of change sends a strong message of resilience and commitment, traits that are crucial if we intend to make a mark in League Two. Plus, it’s good to see such optimism among the squad, despite the initial setback.
  7. Dave is truly exceptional. I thoroughly enjoy his coverage and wish he could provide it for most matches. He maintains a contemporary yet classic approach to his reporting, coupled with the experience to articulate his points without seeming biased.
  8. I tuned in to the online coverage, and it seemed like a match I truly wished I could have attended. Away days are the aspect I miss most about following Notts, and it appears that very few errors were made. I believe fans should give Jim O'Brien a pass; it's easy to be caught off-guard a few times, and from what I heard, it was just a single occurrence for him. It seems somewhat severe to criticise him for it, given that it didn't cost Notts anything beyond a clean sheet.
  9. Not exactly fortunate, but it would have been worse if they had sold out all the shirts and none were left, as you would then be compelled to await new stock or receive a refund. Kudos for handling the situation adeptly, @Fan of Big Tone.
  10. Luke William's post-match insights offer an in-depth understanding of the team’s performance. Langstaff's contribution undoubtedly deserves highlighting, but I believe the team's overall discipline and determination were equally instrumental in securing the win.
  11. A great day out indeed! The win and the team's performance were a cherry on top.
  12. An encouraging display of resilience and teamwork. Hopefully, we'll find the net next time, lads.
  13. Really impressive progress, let's aim for 6000 next!
  14. Loved Doyle's work at Notts! Best wishes to him at Portsmouth.
  15. While it's usual for us to discuss the tactics and performances of teams, it is genuinely warming to see an act of goodwill from one club to another. Stoke City's initiative has added a fresh dimension to football, illuminating the human side of the sport.
  16. What I find impressive about Williams' approach is his ability to maintain a balanced view. He recognises the promising elements and performances but avoids prioritising the results over progress. This highlights how this mentality could potentially carry the team through the rest of the season well.
  17. It's reassuring to know that Williams is being proactive in avoiding any negative impact on the team spirit. Having unhappy or frustrated players can indeed lead to a drop in morale and also impact overall performance.
  18. One name that I know played for both clubs, as I remember reading the news of when he joined on loan is Chris Iwelumo.
  19. Frank Vincent seemed like a real character who enjoyed playing his football. Good luck to him at Dagenham & Redbridge.
  20. All good things come to those who wait; that’s what I have been told many times in my lifetime. It’s good that Aaron Nemane has decided to stay, and even better that we should get two more seasons out of him.
  21. I don’t think he’s the CEO coming in. It wouldn’t sit well to quit a job stating you had other focuses, only to join a rival club. It comes across as quite disrespectful and lacking morals, so I think it’s unlikely.
  22. Welcome to PON @BigTom91, I do hope you continue to join in with us. One of the best things about this site is the fact people actually talk and make you feel welcome.
  23. Nigel's story really highlights the dedication and loyalty some fans have for their clubs, and it's inspiring to see.
  24. Excellent write-up, @Magpie Bill. It has been quite the journey and this is a perfect summary of the club’s time in the National League.
  25. I have been reading up on Dan Crowley and he sounds like a magnificent signing for Notts. He seems to have found his element at Morecambe and should progress nicely with Notts.
