Notts County sign promising goalkeeper Harry Griffiths
A loan move could be a good idea to help him get some game time, but it would leave us short in that position. I donβt think Notts will carry more than two experienced goalkeepers, and with this new signing and Bass leaving, it feels like only one more will arrive. Letβs just hope whoever joins can help guide the lad and bring the best out of him.

Martin Paterson: A New Era Begins at Notts County
I was unsure what to expect, but Paterson comes across really well. Heβs saying all the right things and seems to have a solid understanding of what this club stands for. I like how he talks about collaboration, data, and improving players. Itβs modern thinking but grounded in reality, not just buzzwords. This could be a really smart appointment.

Crystal Palace Could be kicked out of the Europa League
Letβs be honest, Forest always find something to moan about. This time it feels like another case of them stirring the pot for the sake of it. The irony isnβt lost on anyone, given their ownerβs past links with several clubs. Iβm not sure if heβs still involved elsewhere, but I remember there being rules about him and Greek sides. Thereβs always been controversy around him. After all the drama they caused last season, itβs surprising no one called for them to be docked points. Youβd think theyβd count themselves lucky, not go looking for trouble.

Exploring ways to further strengthen the coaching and staff structure
Does the club really need someone as experienced as Neil Warnock involved in any role? His wages could probably be put to better use elsewhere in the club. That said, Iβm not totally against the idea. It might turn out well, but there are still a lot of unknowns at the moment. I would have thought the club would focus on strengthening the coaching team before looking at anything like this.

pon and the new site
I donβt usually like change because it rarely feels like an improvement. There are a few things I miss, but I do like the new design and can see the benefits. Everything loads incredibly fast, which is a big plus. Overall, it looks very good.

Jake Tabor the Most wanted striker
He seems to have a good attitude and isn't letting things go to his head. There's no sign of arrogance or showing off, just a player who wants to put in the effort and improve. I hope he gets the chance to show what he can do. If he keeps working hard, he could go far in his career.

Tom Iorpenda joins on a season long loan
This signing feels like a real boost. At times, our midfield has lacked that bit of bite, but Iorpenda seems to bring exactly that. His height is a definite advantage, given how weβve been physically outmatched in some games. Having someone with a strong presence should make a real difference. Whatβs also encouraging is that heβs already had experience in senior football with Hyde United and Huddersfieldβs first team, proving he hasnβt just been sheltered in an academy setup. Hopefully, he sees this loan as a major opportunity and fully commits to it. If he can stay fit and avoid setbacks like the injury he dealt with last year, thereβs every chance heβll make a real impact. With the right mentality, he could turn out to be a key player in black and white.

Notts County Secure Season-Long Loan for Huddersfield Midfielder Tom Iorpenda
Really encouraged by this one. Weβve lacked a bit of bite in midfield at times, and Iorpenda seems to bring just that. The heightβs a big plus, weβve been overrun physically in a few games, so itβs great to have someone with presence. Hopefully he sees this loan as a big opportunity and gets stuck in. If he does, and avoids any setbacks like the injury he had last year, I think he could really shine in black and white.

Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Spireites (H)
I thought Notts looked motivated but couldnβt make the most of their early possession and opportunities. Itβs a bit disappointing, especially given the occasion. Chesterfieldβs defence initially looked poor and vulnerable, but they managed to make us look like the team struggling at the back. They deserve credit for raising their game and making it tough for Notts. The quality is there, but the habit of trying to walk the ball into the net holds everything back.

David McGoldrick, New Contract or Not?
I would offer him another year, but at a much lower wage. If it is true that he is our highest earner, I would adjust the offer to a fair amount, taking into account his age and the likelihood that he may not play every match, even though he has proven his value this season. Next season could be different, depending on the league. However, if he stays on high wages, I would decline.

Return of the seven.
Looking at it from a broader perspective, there's so much to be proud of with how the team's handled adversity. Even if the roadβs been rocky, Notts has demonstrated resilience and character. The players have dug deep, despite the pressure. Sure, we've seen the gaps in our strategy, but isnβt that what builds character? Each creak in our formation has been an opportunity for growth. As our ranks refill with the return of essential players like Crowley and Jones, weβll not only have the skills back, but more experienced players whoβve learnt to cope without their injured teammates.

Sam Austin: "The Magic of the FA Cup Is Alive and Well"
Itβs brilliant to hear Samβs positivity about the FA Cup. His memories of playing West Ham and nearly beating them reflect the competitionβs beauty. I also like his point about fan support and how it can spur the team on. Letβs show up in full force and back the lads against Peterborough. A strong cup run could set the tone for the busy Christmas schedule.

Match Discussion: FA Cup - The Posh (A)
I reckon this match could be a turning point for us in terms of confidence. Playing a team like Peterborough will be a real test of our progress, especially with how weβve performed in League Two so far. Theyβll look to dominate possession, but that might play into our hands if we can hit them on the break. Palmerβs vision and Jattaiβs direct running could be the key here. Iβd also like to see us make use of set pieces, weβve shown we can be dangerous from dead-ball situations. Itβs a tough draw, but weβve got nothing to lose, and sometimes thatβs when teams like ours thrive the most.

Who is your Man of the match v Chesterfield?
The poll is quite open between George Abbott and Jatta, with Kellan Gordon slightly behind the two leaders. I voted for Abbott. I thought his performance was excellent throughout the game.
-
Who is your Notts Man of the Match v Port Vale?
I was watching the match and thought that Matty Platt did a commendable job at the back. His calm and composed demeanour helped to absorb some of Port Valeβs aggressive approaches. Despite the team conceding, Plattβs individual resilience was quite apparent, especially in one-on-one situations. The way he communicated with his fellow defenders ensured that mistakes were minimal. However, his efforts alone couldnβt entirely shut out the opponents. We perhaps needed a bit more synchronisation between the midfield and defence for better protection.

Opposition View: Lifelong Port Vale Fan Steven Crank Previews Notts County Clash
Itβs reassuring to hear about the passion and memories from fellow fans like Steven. Football's heart lies in these narratives. As for the match, Notts should aim for a dominant start and impose control, using our home advantage to tip the scales in our favour!

Who is your Notts man of the match v Morecambe?
Sam Austin gets my vote because I thought he worked hard. His crossing was dangerous and effective, leading to several chances, including our equaliser.

Stuart Maynardβs Optimism: Key Players Return as Notts County Prepares for Gillingham Showdown
The focus on both defensive and attacking strategies has clearly paid off. It is reassuring to hear about McDonald and Ness nearing full fitness. Their return will shore up our defence significantly in time. The pre-season seems to have been beneficial in getting the squad on the same page. The unbeaten run has built some good confidence among the players and fans alike. Looking at our next challenge, Gillingham, itβs clear weβll need to maintain our style of play while matching their physicality.

Match Preview: Can McGoldrick Fire Notts County to Victory Against Bromley?
The clash between Notts County and Bromley should be a cracker. Bromleyβs physical style and the tight pitch at Hayes Lane might make things tough, but I believe our squad has the quality to cope. Crowley and Jattaβs return is timely, and their inclusion will certainly boost our chances. The defensive responsibilities will be heavy on Abbott, but heβs shown he can handle high-pressure situations. McGoldrickβs recent form is promising, and if he can keep his scoring touch, weβll be in a good position. Itβs crucial we keep possession and donβt get drawn into Bromleyβs game plan. Iβm optimistic we can carve out a victory with clever tactics and disciplined play.

Alex Bass Prepares for the Challenge Ahead: Notts County Keeper Focused on Maintaining Form
Alex Bass seems like a top professional and a great fit for Notts County. From this, itβs obvious heβs committed to the club and really wants to make a difference. His attitude towards settling down and finding consistency is refreshing in a game where players often move around too much. You can tell heβs had a tough time moving from club to club, but I think heβs found the right place now. His performances have been fantastic so far, and Iβm excited to see where he can help take the team this season. With his skills and attitude, weβre in for a great campaign!

Match Report: David McGoldrick at the Double as Magpies Secure Confident Home Win
That was a superb display from Notts. McGoldrick's goals were the highlight, but it was a solid team effort overall. Bass was great in goal, making some important stops to secure the clean sheet. The midfield, especially Edwards and Abbott, was dynamic and did well to maintain control. Accrington never really got a foothold thanks to our dominance in possession. It's impressive to see such a performance with several key players missing. It's clear that this squad has great depth and resilience, which bodes well for the future. Really looking forward to seeing more games like this.

Opposition View: Swindon Town Fan Lee Witts' Honest Analysis Ahead of Notts County Match
Weβre away from home, so weβll be looking for our first win on the road. This could make the game a bit of a deadlock. Notts just have to work hard to create chances. Swindon is a good away day, so Iβm looking forward to the game.

Jodi Jones: Players Player Of The Year.
Jodi has shared pictures on his X account. Itβs nice to see him enjoying that moment, and it shows how well he fits into the Notts side. I am sure he would do well at a higher level, but I hope he sees the club as his home now. Ideally, we would grow together. Pleased for Jodi Jones.
