I Don't Get It – When Support Turns Sour
Some fans seem to turn bitter because they struggle to show any encouragement. Their thoughts are so negative that it feels easier for them to just post nonsense rather than try to explain what’s really bothering them. The poor start to the season is worrying, especially seeing how far the performances have slipped. But if people lose touch with reality, things won’t get better. The team needs support, not constant criticism, to find their way forward.

Game 2: Match Discussion, The Ammies (H)
As a fan, the nerves are always there until the club starts picking up points. Those early wins are so important, they help build the kind of runs that can decide whether a team pushes for promotion or not. Even if we begin the season slowly, I think it’ll be a good one overall. Salford are a strong side. They’ve got problems of their own, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be easy for us. I’d be happy with a draw, even though I’m hoping we can get all three points. What I really don’t want is to kick off our home campaign with a loss. I’m hoping we can go on an unbeaten run and start climbing the table.

Weekly chat - Monday 30th June to Sunday 6th July
When you work in transport and travel across the UK, you soon pick up tricks for staying cool in the heat. It’s not great having to take a shower every night when you get in and again before you leave, but it does help. The warmer days, like today, are much better when you’ve got the hang of it. Even with the odd bit of humidity, it’s still the kind of weather where watching a football match feels just right. Let’s hope it sticks around for pre-season. Stay in the shade, everyone!

RIP Diogo Jota
It’s one of those shocking moments that hits you out of nowhere, like a big world event you never forget. It’s awful news. Football is really feeling the loss of Jota, and so many clubs are showing their support and sadness. Such a tragic and heartbreaking thing to happen.

Maziar Kuhyar signs from Kiddy
It might take me a while to get used to pronouncing his name, but his goal tally last season is promising. He’s joining a much stronger setup at Notts, and while I don’t expect an instant impact, I hope he proves himself over time. A one-year deal isn’t much of a risk.

Ollie Norburn signs for Notts.
The short-term deals mean we won’t be stuck with players if they don’t fit in. I get why there are questions about his arrival, but he hasn’t kicked a ball for us yet, and it’s important to focus on what he could bring. Writing players off too soon can be unfair. I think Ollie Norburn is a fantastic signing.

From us to Spurs, to Cardiff, and now Bolton. I wish Kion Etete all the best.

Tranmere Rovers 0-0 Notts County: Magpies Dominate Possession but Settle for a Point at Prenton Park
Although a goalless draw isn’t the best way to kick off the season, there’s a lot to be optimistic about. The lads controlled the game from start to finish and were unlucky not to score. Bass made crucial saves and we had several near misses. Tranmere’s defence was hard to crack, but our team’s overall performance shows we’re heading in the right direction. Let’s hope Maynard works on our finishing for the next matches. COYP!

Jodi Jones is a wonderful player who can make things happen on the pitch. He’s got a lot of flair and vision and he can score some amazing goals. He was one of the most exciting players in the league during his loan spell and I’m overjoyed that he’s signed for Notts County permanently.

Match Discussion: Game 12 - The Ravens (A)
It's tricky to predict how Notts will do on the road, at times they are quite sluggish to get going. I feel confident though. 2-0 Notts win would be my prediction.
