  1. Credit to the back line for how they handled the late balls into the area. Ness and Bedeau took the first contacts and when the knockdowns fell, we had bodies around it. Roos’ decision-making was the difference between panic and control. A couple of high takes, one low claim, and we reset our shape. We also managed the bookings well. Bedeau takes one for a strong challenge, but after that we avoided cheap fouls near the box.

  2. The match had a bit of everything. Early pressure from Fleetwood, some big saves from Roos, and a goal that came at just the right time. Dennis has really stepped up this season and took his chance with real composure. I also liked the way Jatta fitted in. He was physical, linked play and almost scored himself. That partnership with Dennis could be interesting going forward. The defence had to stand strong, and the midfield worked hard to break up play. There were still too many fouls for my liking, but at least we were competitive. Fleetwood had their moments, but we kept our shape. A clean sheet and three points makes it a good day overall.

  3. No fluff, no drama, just straight answers. Gagliardi comes across as calm and measured, and that builds trust. You can tell he wants to build something lasting, not just chase short-term glory.

The stuff about having patience as fans makes sense, with so many changes, it’s going to take time. But if this is the direction we’re going, I’m fully behind it. Let’s hope the results follow.

  4. This is a tricky one to swallow, even though it's not altogether unexpected. Selling quality always hurts, particularly when it weakens an already critical position. I’d say Bass was comfortably among the top keepers we’ve had in recent years, so it’ll certainly be noticeable when he's not marshalling our defence. Hopefully, the management already have a keen eye on a potential replacement who can step straight in with minimal fuss. Fingers crossed the transfer funds aren't frittered away, because we genuinely have gaps elsewhere on the pitch that could do with investment too. Crucial time ahead now.

  5. It’s hard not to feel frustrated after a performance like that. We had the ball, we had the shots, but we didn’t convert. Walsall were clinical with their finishing, and that’s what ultimately cost us. The penalty gave us a glimmer of hope, but the third goal so late on really took the wind out of our sails. The fact we got a goal back late on from Jack Hinchy was a small positive, but we need to manage the injuries we have. We need to take our chances, particularly when we dominate possession like that.

  6. This match feels like such a special moment for the club and the young players. It’s rare for a youth team to face a Premier League academy at home, and it’ll be great for them to experience playing at Meadow Lane.

I love that Dan Leivers focuses on effort and improvement over just winning, it’s the right approach to youth development. Whether or not they progress, this is the kind of challenge that helps players grow into future stars. I’ll definitely be there to cheer them on and hope others will too. The lads deserve our support for how far they’ve come already.

  7. I appreciate how Maynard’s approach is about taking responsibility and not blaming refereeing decisions. Sure, they’ve been frustrating, but he’s right, the team’s creating chances, and now it’s about keeping composure in the final third. If we can start turning those chances into goals, especially at home, we’ll really be flying. Wimbledon’s a tough side, but if we focus on those big moments, I can see us getting the three points.

  8. Maynard’s words about Cedwyn’s leave of absence really struck a chord with me. Mental health is still not talked about enough in football, and Cedwyn’s courage to come forward is a step in the right direction. As fans, we can sometimes be guilty of focusing too much on the results and not enough on the well-being of the players. Injuries are tough enough physically, but the mental toll can be just as challenging, if not more. I’m glad the club is handling this so well, and I hope it opens up more conversations about mental health in the sport.

  9. Palmer’s reflections on the play-off final really bring back those intense moments. I was on the edge of my seat during that game, and it’s fascinating to hear how much the players themselves went through mentally. You can feel the emotion he describes, especially with the relief after Cedwyn’s penalty. It’s also good to hear how grounded he is about this season. The squad has definitely changed a lot, but I think his point about needing time to gel is spot on. I’ve got no doubt that with Matt’s leadership, we’ll continue to improve as the season progresses.

  10. Kellan Gordon brings such enthusiasm to the team, which is exactly what we need. His perspective on the importance of family makes him relatable to fans, and it definitely reflects in his gameplay. I think this connection is a two-way street, with fans supporting him feeling like they’re supporting one of their own. His success at Crawley Town likely brought invaluable experience, but the emotional benefits of being back home with family can't be overstated. Gordon’s ability to slot into various roles is paramount to our depth, and his positive outlook is great to see.

  11. Jodi’s injury is a huge setback for us, but his attitude towards recovery is nothing short of heroic. It’s incredibly frustrating to see such a talented player sidelined due to lack of proper officiating. His comments about protection for players are entirely valid, and it’s high time the league took these issues more seriously. Jodi’s strength and determination are evident, and it’s heartening to see his resolve to come back even stronger. Let’s rally behind him and show our support during this tough time.

  12. Can’t wait for this clash! Gillingham might be a strong side, but we’ve got the upper hand with our recent form at Meadow Lane. The way Maynard has the lads playing, especially with such cohesion in attack and defence, makes me confident. The midfield battle will be crucial, and if Crowley can dictate the play as he has been, I see us coming out on top. Here's to maintaining our unbeaten run and staying at the top of the table. COYP!

  13. The glowing comments for Jodi Jones and Dan Crowley are absolutely spot on. They make it difficult for opponents to play against us. I also want to praise the defence, even though there was a slip-up and Alex Bass could have done better before we conceded the second goal. The players are looking very good as a team. It was important that we held onto Jodi and Crowley in January.

  14. This contract extension is massive for us. Jodi has been top-notch, and I’m glad he’s committed to Notts County. His performances have been outstanding, and he brings so much energy and skill to the team. It’s not just about his talent on the pitch, his positive attitude and dedication are also invaluable.

Having Jodi on board for a longer period gives us stability and confidence. It shows that he believes in the club’s vision and wants to be a part of our journey. This commitment will surely inspire his teammates and the fans. I’m excited to see what the future holds with Jodi continuing to play a key role for Notts.

  15. It’s the best news we could have hoped for at this stage. Yes, some fans will be hoping that Dan Crowley follows, but Jodi Jones committing is a big significance for Notts. He’s a class player, with concerns due to his previous injuries, but it hasn’t stopped him lighting up Meadow Lane. He’s a great talent, deserving to be considered a legend, and it’s nice to see the club able to sort out his deal. It gives us strength and less worry, as the club might have had to start considering replacements had it not happened this early in the season.

  16. I’ve been really impressed with Alex Bass since he joined us. You can see from these comments that he’s really happy to be at Notts County, and that kind of positive mentality can make all the difference on the pitch. It’s clear that he’s got the backing of the manager, which must give him a lot of confidence going into every game. I also like how he talks about wanting to get involved with the play, not just make saves, which shows he’s in tune with modern goalkeeping. Hopefully, he can keep this form up for the rest of the season!

  17. Dan Crowley was on fire! His performance was nothing short of spectacular. He controlled the game with his skill and vision, making it difficult for Grimsby to keep up. The entire team played brilliantly, showing great teamwork and determination. Grimsby simply had no answers to our relentless attacks. This win has boosted our confidence, and I am excited for the upcoming matches. If we continue to play like this, we have a great chance of achieving our goals this season.

  18. It’s so good to see Curtis Edwards bounce back after the errors he made in the cup match. His performance against Grimsby was top-notch, and he was everywhere on the pitch. He showed great resilience and determination, proving that he can learn from his mistakes and come back stronger. His passing was precise, and he made several crucial tackles. This kind of performance is exactly what we need from him, and I am excited to see what he will do next. If he continues to play like this, he will be a key player for us this season.

  19. Absolutely thrilled with the way Notts played, especially in the second half. Fleetwood set the tone early on, but our boys didn't let their heads drop. Jatta's goal was perfectly timed to reignite hope, and we rode that wave of momentum right to the end. The penalty was nerve-wracking, but fair play to Jodi Jones for keeping his composure under immense pressure. @ARLukomskii’s vlog does justice to the rollercoaster of emotions experienced during the match.

  20. As we approach our match against Fleetwood Town, there's a lot riding on this game for Notts County. The team showed resilience with a draw against Tranmere Rovers but then faltered in the League Cup.

This inconsistency needs addressing if we want to challenge higher up the table. Fleetwood is no pushover, especially with their strong start, but home advantage at Meadow Lane could be key. I'm particularly eager to see how Alex Bass performs in goal, he’s been a standout so far. Our defence needs to be on alert, especially from set-pieces. Let's create an electric atmosphere and cheer the lads to victory.
