  1. The first real test of the season. Borehamwood should be one of the sides pushing for a playoff place. I don't think they have the quality to win the league but they are a worthy foe. They will be missing DKE and Ndlovu who were sent off against Southend. Borehamwood held out for a well earned 3 points. Notts got the job done last week. It will take a few weeks for this team to really gel but the early signs are very positive. Dangerous going forward. Strong at the back. I'd take a draw in this one but I think Notts will nick the points. 1-0 to Notts I reckon.
  2. That's about as good as it gets. Langstaff off to a flyer. Clean sheet. Maidenhead are poor and will do well to avoid relegation.
  3. Maidenhead at home is the ideal opportunity to start the season with 3 points and I think we will. A long season starts here and hopefully we have many many highs and very few lows.
  4. Fabulous photos. Nature is amazing.
  5. One point seals a place in the playoffs for Notts. We are hanging on to the home playoff spot at the moment. Ideally we need to win this game by a couple of goals. Our home form is the 3rd best in the division. We haven't been at our best in the last 2 games. A defeat at Aldershot and a 1-0 win over a poor Dover side doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Altrincham aren't great away from home but they are dangerous opponents. It will be interesting to see how they approach the game. If they try to play, Notts will win I think. If they sit back, it will be a whole different ball game. I think it will be another 1-0 win and immediately checking how Grimsby have gotten on at home to Maidenhead. It may well come down to goal difference to see who gets the home tie.
  6. We beat Aldershot 3-2 at home back in September. Aldershot are 8 points clear of the drop zone. They are not safe yet so they have something to play for. This could be a tricky tie for Notts but you'd expect Notts to win if they approach the game in the right manner. I'll go for a nervy 1-0 win for Notts.
  7. Project 21 points is still on track. 6 down, 15 to go!
  8. Weymouth are going down, it's just a matter of when. They haven't scored in 5 games but 2 of those were 0-0 draws against Grimsby and Yeovil at home. Weymouth have picked up 8 from 57 away from home. Notts have picked up 41 from 57 at home. Notts will be odds on favourites. 3-0 I reckon.
  9. You have to have goals ???? I expect my blood pressure will be quite high during this period but I'm confident!
  10. The last 7 games should all be wins. 1 down, 6 to go!
  11. Take the beating and move on. We should make the playoffs but we need to be fully focused.
  12. Torquay are on a decent run of form. They have only lost one of their last 7 games. They won their last 2 games 4-0 against Aldershot and 3-0 against Weymouth. To be brutally honest, both these sides are poor so it's not a surprise. I think it will be a tough game for Notts. I'd take a draw given the run of fixtures we have to end the season. A win would be amazing.
  13. That was an outstanding result. Truly outstanding. Well done Ruben. Well done everyone. I'm very happy.
  14. Southend have lost their last 2 games. They are struggling to score. 1 goal in their last 4 games. Notts are unbeaten in their last 3 and they were 3 tough games. 7 out of 9 is more than acceptable. Given our run in, I'd take a draw here, keep the run going. A win would be a massive boost. I'll go for a 1-0 win for Notts.
  15. Am I happy with a point? No, but I'm satisfied. I'd take 5 points from this and our next 2. Then we have 7 games against lower half sides to finish the season. We should make the playoffs, I think it will be a 3rd place finish.
  16. What a hugely important game. A win would give Notts a massive chance of finishing second given the fixtures we have left. The momentum is with Notts but Chesterfield are a dangerous opponent. Kabongo Tshimanga is a huge loss for them but they have had other key injuries as well. I'm surprised they didn't strengthen their squad before the window closed. A couple of more injuries and they will be in trouble. Enough about Chesterfield. Notts have a great home record, the atmosphere will be electric, the sun will be shining (I'm guessing this). A home win for me.
  17. Not only a great result but a great performance as well. It puts Notts within touching distance of Chesterfield and guess who we play next......
  18. I think the teams in 5th to 10th are battling it out for 2 playoff places. Borehamwood are 1 point ahead of Notts and have 2 games in hand. Borehamwood are out of form going into this game. They haven't won in their last 4. It's probably the best time to play them. I think Notts will win this and that will go a long way towards securing a playoff spot.
  19. Huge win. So important on so many levels.
  20. Awful start. Got better. Lacey made it 1-1. Could go either way. It's like playoff football but it's only March.....
  21. There seems to be a bug/illness in the squad. Players vomiting at half time. No wonder the performance wasn't up to scratch. I think Notts should request a postponement of the next game. No way players will have recovered fully by Saturday.
  22. It's hard not to replay Tuesday's shambles over and over in your head but it's time to move on. Yeovil at home is a game we should be winning. You'd expect a reaction from Notts and I think we'll get one. 2-0 to Notts.
  23. Woking can be difficult to break down. Given the number of chances Notts need to create to score a single goal, it could be a long afternoon. 0-0 I reckon.
  24. We have to win every single home game between now and the end of the season.
  25. Eastleigh are 7 games without a win. Their away record is woeful. Notts have one of the best records at home. You'd be expecting a comfortable home win. I bet Notts are the banker on lots of betting slips this weekend.
