  1. Being at Wembley to witness arguably the best NL playoff final in history was special. My friend is a WBA fan. He was with me at Wembley and he was completely involved. He was happier than me when Notts won ???? The icing on the cake was meeting Shane Meadows. I've seen every film and TV series Shane has made. He was so nice.
  2. Stone has had plenty of games and I hate to say it, but his performances haven't impressed me. We need a change. Brooks should be given a chance.
  3. It was always going to be a difficult game. Tranmere are flying. The defending was poor. Stone could have done better for a couple of the goals but he did save a penalty. I think it's time to give Tiernan Brooks a chance.
  4. A very impressive performance. Best of the season so far? I think so. The adjustments LW has made are having a very positive impact.
  5. Jamie Jellis is an excellent choice. Bags of potential. He would do well in League 2.
  6. Stockport's confidence is sky high at the moment. They have been playing well. That 8-0 win against Sutton could easily have been 10 or 11. Notts have lost their way. There's a game plan but the players don't seem to have any confidence in it. I'd imagine a home win will be the first entry on many betting slips this weekend and you can understand why.
  7. It's hard not to think about relegation but I think we should be OK. Staying up is all I hoped for. Anything else is a bonus.
  8. No Plan B again. LW has a way of playing and it looks like he is sticking to it, even though every single team has worked out how to play against us. Stones is awful. Another error today. Our goal was a piece of individual brilliance. I honestly cannot see where the next point comes from.
  9. Every season, there's one team in League 2 that goes from promotion contender to fighting relegation. I hate to say it, but we fit that bill right now. It's plain as day that teams have figured us out yet there's no Plan B. New players aren't going to fix that. LW needs to adjust or we'll go into free fall and we all know what happens after that.
  10. A crucial 3 points. Notts responded well to going a goal down.
  11. Crawley are 6 points behind Notts with a game in hand. Like Notts, they are strong at home but weak on the road. They lost at Forest Green and Barrow in their last 2 away games. I think it will be a close game. Crawley will have learned from their FA Cup defeat. Notts really need to win or the wheels are in danger of coming off.
  12. Notts let their standards drop in the 2nd half. Bradford took advantage. Another 3 points is all that really matters so job done.
  13. Superb 1st half by Notts. 3-0 now. Langstaff bags a brace. If Notts keep going, this could be 4 or 5. Bradford look shell shocked.
  14. Great start. A well worked goal. Notts are well on top and need to take advantage of that because Bradford will get back into this at some stage. SKY just showed Jonathan Hammock's team talk. He was invited by LW to give the talk. Jonathan is no novice, he has done it before. https://youtu.be/ZFCrA1vnebk?si=-NmlwrnxIzfMPL-c
  15. A bizarre end to the game. The referee pulls a hamstring and is replaced. His replacement gives Crewe a penalty for handball and they win 1-0. Notts were always going to go through a bad patch and the injuries aren't helping so no need to panic.
  16. This was always going to be one of the tougher games in this division. Notts played very well on Tuesday. Wrexham showed grit and determination in their win. They may not be in full flow but they are a quality side. I think it will be a fierce battle. I just hope Notts have learned some lessons from the Mansfield game.
  17. Notts cruising to victory. Given the circumstances, this is will be a mighty impressive 3 points.
  18. Injuries and suspensions mean Notts won't be able to field their strongest side. Newport have drawn 7 of their 14 league games. They do concede goals. 5 in their last 2 games. You'd fancy Notts to take advantage and chalk up another home win.
  19. Great win. The best way to mark our 5000th league game. Macari take a bow son. That was some strike.
  20. The first half took 52 minutes. You read that right. Notts deserve their lead.
  21. Another difficult game. Both teams lost 4-1 last weekend. Hopefully John Bostock is fit. We look vulnerable without him. A draw would be a decent result. We need to steady the ship.
  22. Swindon are a strong side. They score for fun. They are the top scorers in the division. They have conceded 14 in 9. They are unbeaten in the league. I think it will be a high scoring game and Swindon will go home with all 3 points. I hope I'm wrong.....
  23. Well that was eventful. Awful defensively, superb going forward. We move on to Tuesday. I bet it will be just as exciting!
  24. Colchester are unpredictable. They drew with Mansfield at home and we know how good Mansfield are. They beat Gillingham away 3-0. Gillingham have only conceded 8 goals all season. It's definitely a banana skin. Notts have negotiated almost the obstacles put in front of them and I think we'll be OK here. I think Notts will win 2-1.
  25. Forest Green are on a downward spiral and I think it will end in relegation to the Conference. They have scored 6 goals in 8 games. They have conceded 14. They lost to fellow strugglers Doncaster last Saturday. A trip to Meadow Lane is not something they'll be looking to. It's hard to see anything other than a home victory.
