Match Discussion: League Two - Crewe Alexandra (A)
Crewe are one of those games that could go either way. Form does not always mean much because both teams are still trying to find some consistency. I would be disappointed if we let them play us off the park or if we failed to give a good account of ourselves. This does not mean we have to be brilliant, but we should at least show that we tried and that every effort was made. I would like to see Nick Tsaroulla a bit more lively, and I hope whoever plays up front gets the service needed to create good chances. With a 4-0 win behind us, it would be great to follow it up with another comfortable victory.

Where are they now : Jack McMillan
Cut his hair and shave his face, he would be getting ID for buying a pint. Let alone looking the legal age of driving. I wish him well with his endeavours.

Notts waiver of loan from Football Radar
All this shows is that they want to sell, and they will not be asking for their money back. The club will be sold to the highest bidder, and we could lose the best owners Notts have had in decades. Oh wait, I do not think like that. This is great news. It is another successful bit of business that proves the negative voices wrong. Thank you, Chris and Alex, for everything you continue to do for Notts.

Fans Forum
I don't think we'll find out much more than what fans are already guessing about Alassana Jatta. It's something a lot of people want answers to, but if you know how these things work, you’ll realise it won’t even get past the moderators. The main topic will likely be the shift in how the squad is being built. That includes the use of loan signings and the exit of Roberto Gagliardi. I expect there’ll be more talk about why the board chose Martin Paterson and how they believe he’s creating something special. I’m not too bothered about going, to be honest.

Is Modern Football Adopting Big Sam's Playbook?
Hoofing the ball and keeping it on the ground when needed has been part of football long before Big Sam came along. What he really brought to the modern game is the culture that follows matches, especially the lad behaviour where players who perform well are seen as heroes who can carry on partying without a care. As managers go, he's not as strict about fitness as someone like Arsène Wenger. He’s not going to worry about his players eating pasta and is more likely to treat them to a full fry-up. He does have a good eye for building strong squads, which is worth credit. But his style of play is made up of things that were already common in football. He just happened to do very well with it.

George Lawtey football analyst ( Ex Swansea and Notts)
I thought it would just be audio, since that's what a podcast usually is. These days, though, the word seems to be used for videos too. The interview itself is very good. I found the video a bit distracting, so I ended up just listening to the audio. Chris Gill moves around a lot, which feels a bit much, especially with how shiny his forehead is. George Lawtey came across really well. He seems suited to his role and spoke nicely about Luke Williams.

Could the Current Squad Compete in League One?
I think there's a strong core in the squad that could handle the step up, but it would still need more quality added to avoid slipping back down. Some players have the ability, but they aren't showing it often enough. That makes it hard to know how they'd cope or grow if Notts were promoted. I was hoping January would be the time to bring in extra depth and really push forward, like we did when Will Jarvis joined. I agree. Some loan deals could have helped the club build a stronger squad ready for a push towards promotion in January. Bringing in players early would also give them time to settle, which would make things smoother if we ended up in League One. It would save time and effort in the summer. Even if promotion didn’t happen, those same players would already be part of the group and could carry on from where they left off. That way, we wouldn’t be starting from scratch again.

The Long Game: 13 Years of Community, Football, and Reflection
Pride of Nottingham is one of the few places I actually look forward to visiting. Even when work's been a bit mad, I still enjoy popping on and seeing what's new. It's like a warm cuppa after a long day. There are loads of good posters sharing their thoughts, and it keeps the place lively. It's like a proper natter down the pub, only with fewer crisps and more football. Some of the newer members have slotted in so well, you'd think they were part of the furniture. Full of common sense too, which is a rare treat online. If we can tempt the quiet readers to join in, get them hooked like it's EastEnders in the nineties, then we’re onto a winner. The rest will take care of itself. You’ve got nothing to feel bad about, @Chris. The whole thing’s built on your effort and vision.
