  1. While Morecambe’s form has been poor, they’re still a dangerous side if we let our guard down. Their biggest threat will likely come from set pieces, so we need to stay organised defensively. I’m excited about the potential impact Josh Martin could make. That said, it’s Dan Crowley’s midfield play that I think will be crucial today. He’s been brilliant for us this season, and his ability to find space and create chances has been key. If we can control the midfield and cut off Morecambe’s supply lines, we should be able to take the three points.

  2. Really disappointing to come away with nothing after dominating the game. It felt like we were all over them at times, but just couldn’t find that final touch. The disallowed goal looked onside to me, and I thought the referee had a poor game overall. Gillingham are a tough side to break down, and they defended brilliantly, but I feel like we should’ve done better with the chances we had. Injuries to Jatta and Jones definitely didn’t help, but we’ve got the depth to deal with that. Maynard’s got the team playing well, and despite the loss, I’m still optimistic about where we’re heading this season. Onto the next game!

  3. It’s not just about defence; our attacking play remains sharp, even when key players are out. Jones’ newfound unpredictability and the overall team’s willingness to step up are encouraging signs. Maynard’s optimism is well-founded, especially with key players returning from injury. The next game against Gillingham will be a real test, but I’m confident we’re up for it, especially with the fan support at Meadow Lane. Let’s bring the noise and be that 12th man!

  4. Maynard's approach has been spot on this season. The way he's crafted this team to be adaptable and unpredictable in attack is brilliant. We're no longer a one-dimensional side, and you can see how that confuses the opposition. The defence has also stepped up massively, and that gives the whole team confidence to push forward. I'm particularly impressed by how calm and collected the lads have been, especially when they fall behind. Games like the one against Bromley highlight our never-say-die attitude. It’s great to see a manager who knows how to get the best out of his players.

  5. I can't express how delighted I am that Jodi Jones has signed a new contract with Notts.

His assist record is nothing short of spectacular and shows his importance to our attacking strategy. Beyond his statistics, Jones’ ability to adapt and improve his game demonstrates his commitment to the club.

Stuart Maynard praising Jodi's defensive efforts is particularly encouraging, as it shows he's becoming a more well-rounded player. His skill on the right wing this season has been a key factor in our success. It's reassuring to know he’ll be part of our team until 2027. Here's to many more assists, goals, and unforgettable moments from Jodi!

  6. The recruitment at Notts has been the best in years under the Reedtz era. We need to trust the board and Stuart Maynard to bring in the right players. Even though we might not have had the busiest transfer windows, we've filled important areas like up front.

Rallying what you have can be good for a close-knit squad looking for promotion. Maynard has thrived with better options on the bench and a stronger starting lineup. This must make his job much easier, so I see no faults.

  7. A huge congratulations to the team for the Swindon win! It was a nail-biter, but the Magpies showed exceptional resilience. Stuart Maynard has indeed crafted a team with defensive solidity and clinical finishing. David McGoldrick's goals were sublime and crucial to our win. What’s commendable is the depth of the squad, with the less regular players stepping up admirably in the absence of key figures. The newly signed players like George Abbott bring versatility and promise to the team. If we maintain this level of performance, we could be in for a phenomenal season. Let’s hope we work on intensity and ball recovery to stay consistent. Onward and upward!

  8. Macari’s interview is a great insight into his mindset and development. Moving away from Stoke with such deep family ties must have been challenging, but it’s clear he’s made the most of it. His comments about last season and the focus on defensive solidity this time around are encouraging. It’s also good to see his eagerness to continue playing consistently and contributing to the team’s success. Notts seems to have gained a dedicated and focused player who is raring to help push for success this season. Hoping he keeps up this excellent form and stays injury-free!

  9. Tom Keetley's story is both inspiring and sad. It’s amazing how he set records, becoming a legendary figure in the sport, but heart breaking to read about his struggles after football, as the physical and emotional toll of his career became more apparent. Despite his remarkable achievements, he faced numerous challenges in his post-football life, leaving behind a legacy marked by both triumph and personal hardship.

  10. Some say Stuart Maynard is out of his depth and lacks experience, but the only way to improve is by challenging, gaining form, and working together. I don’t think he’s out of his depth; this is harsh. Every manager must learn from results. Notts are building an incredible squad, which is competitive. I hope the season continues to be successful, showing Maynard is good enough and getting us where we fans want to be.

  11. McGoldrick has shown incredible resilience and a great attitude, even when not getting the minutes he might have hoped for. His readiness to step up whenever needed and his willingness to mentor younger teammates is a testament to his character and experience. It’s fantastic to see a veteran player not just looking out for his interests but also contributing to the team's future. His experience will be vital as the season progresses, and I’m sure he’ll have his moments to shine.

  12. The goalless draw against Tranmere was packed with positives for Notts County. Stuart Maynard’s satisfaction with the defensive display was echoed by fans, as Beadau and Platt were standout performers. Bass’s command in goal was noteworthy.

Grant impressively settled into the team, despite his late arrival. His stability in midfield was commendable. The team’s control in possession, particularly in the second half, showed promise for the season. The need for sharper execution in the final third was evident, but it’s only the first game. With a few key players out, there's room to grow. The fan support was fantastic and really boosted the team.

  13. Doncaster’s incredible finish to last season was something special. McCann retaining most of the squad should help in bringing continuity. The defensive setup, led by Richard Wood, is impressive, providing a strong foundation to build upon. The midfield, with the likes of Joe Sbarra and Harry Clifton, looks versatile and dynamic. Upfront, Joe Ironside’s goal-scoring prowess remains vital. The addition of young Chelsea keeper Teddy Sharman-Lowe and the experience of Billy Sharp offers a tantalising mix of youth and experience. With such a blend of talent and momentum, Doncaster may well be the surprise package this season. Can they maintain their formidable finish from last term? That remains the key challenge.

  14. The fact that Cedwyn Scott's overcome such a significant injury to reclaim a pivotal role in the team is truly inspirational. Taking on the number 9 shirt, especially under the weight of Langstaff’s departure, shows Scott’s readiness to embrace responsibility and lead by example. His willingness to adapt to a new playing position while maintaining his goal-scoring ambitions reflects his versatility and determination. This kind of spirit is exactly what a historic club like Notts County needs. Scott’s positive attitude and hard work during pre-season training are promising signs. I believe he will play a crucial role in driving the team towards success this season.

  15. This story is a testament to the power of football in bringing people together and providing solace during tough times. His passion for Notts County, inherited from his father, is beautifully interwoven with his own life's journey. Despite the challenges he faces, such as his wife Wendy's illness, Ian’s dedication to the Magpies remains steadfast. The special moments he shares with his daughter Paige at matches highlight the joy and unity that football brings. Ian's reflection on his experiences, from his junior Magpie days to commentating at an empty Wembley, captures both the highs and lows of being a true football fan. His story is a poignant reminder of the enduring spirit of the football community.

  16. Let’s set our emotions aside and simply wish Macaulay Langstaff the best. It’s dreadful news that we’ve lost him, but every time we sign a talented player, another team will experience the same feelings we’re having now. Football careers are short, so Macca must seize the opportunity. Good luck to him!

  17. Rawlinson’s farewell message is a testament to his genuine passion for Notts County. From the day he joined, he became a key player, earning awards and admiration from fans and teammates alike. His pride in achieving promotion back to the EFL is clear, and his gratitude towards the fans shows a deep connection. Rawlinson truly embraced what it means to be part of the Notts County family. We wish him the best for his next adventure. It’s been an honour to have you at Meadow Lane, Connell.

  18. This news about Meadow Lane is brilliant! We've needed these upgrades for years, especially a new drainage system to avoid waterlogging. Matt Hallam's team worked miracles under difficult conditions, and their hard work has definitely paid off. This investment is not just about improving the pitch but about bringing our club closer to the top tier of football excellence. It shows the club’s ambition and sets a strong foundation for future success. Thanks to everyone who made this happen!

  19. Sam Austin stepping up to acknowledge the fans in such a heartfelt manner is precisely why this club feels like family. It isn't just about the 90 minutes on the pitch; it's about the ongoing support, the shared highs and lows, and the collective drive towards success. His adaptability across positions showcases his commitment to the team's cause, something that we, as fans, replicate in our support from the stands. Let's rally behind Austin and the squad for the challenges ahead!
