  1. Focus on getting better and looking after yourself. Try not to stress about Notts too much, although it’s commendable that you wanted to be there, @Piethagoram.
  2. I hope Connell Rawlinson isn’t in the starting line-up; he tends to make errors. While I value his dedication to Notts, I’m not convinced he’s up to par anymore. I’ve felt this way even before last Saturday. I mean no ill will, as I’m sure he does his best, but we need stronger players. Our current form should motivate all players to prove their worth for a starting spot. This suggests we could recruit better talent. When Notts concedes goals, it often dampens the team’s spirit, and it’s hard to predict the outcome from there. We seldom show the resilience needed to bounce back. I’d suggest Adam Chicksen for centre back since he hasn’t been effective on the wing and might benefit from a more defined role to regain his place in the starting eleven. Apart from that, I’d keep the team mostly unchanged and work through the errors.
  3. Sam Austin stepping up to acknowledge the fans in such a heartfelt manner is precisely why this club feels like family. It isn't just about the 90 minutes on the pitch; it's about the ongoing support, the shared highs and lows, and the collective drive towards success. His adaptability across positions showcases his commitment to the team's cause, something that we, as fans, replicate in our support from the stands. Let's rally behind Austin and the squad for the challenges ahead!
  4. The comparison between the current state of affairs and the Fullarton era really puts things into perspective. It's a reminder of how far we've come and the obstacles we’ve overcome. Yes, the situation isn’t ideal, but turning our dissatisfaction into boos only adds to the pressure on our players. They need us now more than ever. Let’s channel our energies into positive support and help reignite the spirit of Meadow Lane. We’ve weathered storms before; we can do it again together.
  5. Football is a big gamble, but many aren’t ready to invest over several years and establish measures to enhance their financial situation. Teams like QPR spend heavily to reach the Premier League and depend on the parachute payments for support. It might be time to abandon this approach in favour of methods that ensure teams can maintain their operations if they get relegated.
  6. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, it's good to have you here @TruroPieSi.
  7. Loved seeing Grealish and McGregor play for Notts. It's those kind of loans that make me support the idea, despite the downsides.
  8. Crewe will pose a challenge, but the last time we faced them in a cup game earlier in the season, we didn’t field our full squad. This could give us some unexpected advantages. I’m unsure if they fielded a strong squad, but on paper, I like our chances, especially with the match being at Meadow Lane.
  9. Newport is a tough away game. They’re strong on their home ground, and currently, most League Two teams could likely beat us. Our morale seems low with little sign of improvement. An early goal and a strong performance would be ideal, but it seems unlikely.

    Playoffs

I still have hope, but I think it’s only going to get tougher. Notts needs to turn things around and hope for good results. They did at times earlier in the season, but I fear that at this stage, teams are fighting for form and the better teams will continue to vie for the top spots. It might be beyond our reach, but remember, we gained promotion last season. Next year, they can regroup and try again.
  11. Notts’ performance declined after Gillingham’s equaliser. I think Gillingham’s push for a second goal, and then a third, either before half-time or soon after, shocked the players. We left everything too late and missed our best chances to make a real contest of it. I’m somewhat disappointed with the squad overall, but it’s hard to single out individual players when I know they’re trying.
  12. It’s great news for Jodi Jones. He’s earned it, and I agree that he should have been recognised earlier. Right now, he’s about the best thing in the Notts squad, though he can’t win games on his own.
  13. I think a lot of it is just overreactions, but some fans are just grumpy folks who love to complain and criticise players. It’s easier to do that than to stick with the squad and understand that we’ve been punching above our weight. With the injuries, managerial loss, and other changes, the momentum has shifted.
  14. Solid in defence and creative in attack, Stuart's vision could be just what the Magpies need. Can't wait for the next match!
  15. I saw a news report on this a few days ago. They interviewed an elderly woman about when she wanted to be repaid. She said, “Today’s fine”. I thought she was right. It’s high time they received their compensation and this issue was put to rest. Let the victims live the rest of their lives without this burden. They’ve suffered enough.
  16. He’s a brilliant young talent. I hope we integrate him more into the team. Gradually introducing him into games as a substitute would be a good start. From what I’ve seen, he seems ready for football, so I hope we give him that platform without hastily sending him out on loan.
  17. Norwich fans seem impressed, which makes it more exciting. Luke Williams might have been reluctant to start younger players for some reason, but I think Stuart Maynard will see the value in playing Jaden Warner. Some young players are just ready for football, and he could do a job for his parent club, which means we should play him.
  18. It’s a positive update. The return of the players will add depth to our bench. I’m not sure if Notts will bring in more players, but I don’t think so. I believe we shouldn’t rush Cedwyn Scott and Matt Palmer, let them return at their own pace.
  19. Cheers to the medical team at Notts for all their hard work with the lads! It's no joke dealing with long-term injuries, but sounds like Bajrami’s taking it in stride and Scott’s managing well. It's about more than just physical recovery; it's the mental battle too. Staying positive and keeping at it is the key!
  20. Massive congrats to James Sanderson on the professional contract. It’s heartwarming to see a young, hungry player get his chance and truly grab it with both hands. His humility, talent and enthusiasm shout 'Notts County' through and through. The club has done well to recognize and lock down his potential. Here’s hoping he’s the first of many such success stories from our academy ranks.
  21. Maynard's commitment of three and a half years gives the club some much-needed stability. Looking forward to see how his philosophy translates on the pitch.
  22. Newpie: @Robbie__64, @Sir Magpie and @JohnTheBost Members: @Piethagoram, @Fan of Big Tone, @menzinho and @NottsTastic Team: @Chris and @Burnz3r0
  23. Steve Cooper’s dismissal doesn’t matter to me, I believe he’s better off. It was always going to be a challenge for him, especially as the club’s recruitment is essentially whoever their owner prefers. I think Cooper will find a suitable project. He performed a miracle by taking them from almost certain relegation to League One to the Premier League. That’s the gratitude he receives.
  24. I understand. The Anglo-Italian Cup did provide a nice opportunity for a short break. While Scotland might not have the same allure, it would be good to see the cup return, as long as the fixtures don’t cause too much disruption.
