  1. Boston United gave Notts a better game, but it was one of those pre-season friendlies that neither team really got into. I don’t think the rain helped the mood, but it was good to see Cedwyn Scott score.
  2. A warm welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @BeestonPie!
  3. Truly applaud the team's hard work and Williams' management. It’s exciting to see this blend of organisational discipline and creativity on the pitch. I'm looking forward to seeing more improved performances in the regular season. They're certainly making the pre-season friendlies exceptional to watch!
  4. Richo is a true Notts legend. He’s a wonderful person who always thinks of others before himself. He remains one of my all-time favourite Notts players. He was a rock for the club, standing by us during some of our toughest times, doing everything in his power to help the club while also giving his all on the pitch. A true Notts hero.
  5. Reading this article fills me with warmth. The sense of community and togetherness really shines through in this story. It’s not just about the competition; it’s about our city coming together to celebrate football and our very own Notts County.
  6. It's sad to see Charlie leave Notts County's commentary booth. His voice, full of passion and apparent love for the club, has been part of every win and loss, every joyous cheer and painful sigh. It's hard to imagine the commentary without him, it was always so apparent that he really cared about Notts. Now that he's decided to leave to pursue other opportunities, it feels like we're losing a part of the club's spirit. But, Notts County supporters understand that such a talented person like Charlie can't be confined to a single role forever. We'll miss you, Charlie, but we all know you have a bright future ahead of you, and we can't wait to see where it leads you.
  7. I admire Williams' frankness and how he acknowledges the areas for improvement in a very constructive way. There is no cover-up, no false bravado, just straight-to-the-point realism. This is a man who understands that admitting weaknesses is the first step to addressing them. His strategic approach using the back four formation clearly shows his understanding of the game and his ability to adapt. Looking forward to more great matches under his leadership.
  8. Tobi's interview was very heart warming. It's impressive that despite everything he's been through, he's maintained his positive spirit. It's clear that he appreciates what brings joy in life, even in difficult times. Stay strong, Tobi!
  9. What a fantastic blog! I love the optimism and enthusiasm that comes through. Notts County's preseason preparations sound impressive and it's good to see how well the new faces have integrated with the team. The diversity of skills and previous league experience brought in by players like Jones and McGoldrick can only boost the squad's performance. A seven-way tilt at the title isn't just possible, it seems plausible. Let's get ready for a thrilling season and hopefully, back-to-back promotions.
  10. Williams' confidence, despite the pre-season injuries, gives me a lot of hope for the upcoming season. Can't wait to see the boys back in action, showing the same energy and passion that they exhibited last season.
  11. Notts' opening against Sutton United does present the perfect opportunity to establish some early momentum. Given Sutton's form in the tail end of last season, I'd expect Notts to capitalise and set a positive tone for their campaign. Winning the initial games always helps with the morale of the team.
  12. This was a fantastic start to the pre-season for Notts County. Three goals, none conceded, and a striker in Langstaff already in scoring form. It's games like this that breed confidence within teams, and this should serve as a morale boost as they continue prepping for the new season. Stoke and Forest will be interesting games to see how the players cope and handle a real challenge.
  13. What stands out to me is Luke Williams' focus on individual performances. It's great that he recognises the capabilities of each player on the team like, Dan Crowley’s ability with the ball and the confidence of Macaulay Langstaff and Cedwyn Scott. This level of understanding builds a strong foundation for a successful season.
  14. The match should be a good kick-around for both clubs. I won’t be going, but I’ll be keeping an eye on what those who do say about the squad. I’m more interested in the home friendlies, but I’ll be making the others. I just can’t commit to this one, despite my interest in seeing the new players in action.
  15. I completely agree with Luke's approach on squad depth. Having various options on the bench could indeed give us that edge in tight situations.
  16. As much as Rodrigues' departure saddens us, it's comforting to see Williams’ positive perspective. The mutual respect and well wishes signal a healthy attitude within the club. This, coupled with the exciting new signings from League One, promises an intriguing balance of change and continuity at Notts.
  17. Aaron Nemane's decision to commit his future to Notts for the next two years is a huge boost for the club. Nemane's performances last season were exceptional, and he played a crucial role in the team's success. His speed and close control on the right-hand side of the pitch make him a constant threat to opposition defences. With this contract extension, the club has secured a talented player with immense potential for further development. Nemane's growth as a player has been evident, and we can only imagine the heights he will reach in the upcoming seasons. As fans, we are excited to witness his continued contributions and the impact he will have on the team's fortunes.
  18. It's great to see Notts bringing in a goalkeeper who has both experience and potential. Stone's ability to distribute the ball well with both feet will definitely be an asset to our team.
  19. Wes Morgan or David McGoldrick? I am just having a stab in the dark, but its my best shot right now.
  20. The type of player Jim is makes it difficult to count him out because he will just work harder to make a comeback. When his playing time seems limited, he’s happy to wait and go out onto the left. I prefer him in the middle, but I respect the energy and level he brings to whichever position he plays.
  21. It doesn’t feel so much like a dream but surreal. I think that is the word I would use; never did I think the brothers would be the people who turned the club’s fortunes around so quickly. I thought it might take longer, but they must be great leaders and very focused within their plans.
  22. Thank you for all you have done for Notts, Ruben. It’s been a pleasure to watch you. I wish you well with Oxford United. Take your time to settle in and show League One what you can do!
  23. Retaining Jim is good; he’s been great since signing for Notts and I also wanted to see him wear our shirts back in League Two. Under different circumstances, a few years later, but still he deserves to see our relegation undone. He was one of the few who tried to save us.
  24. The recent changes at Notts County Football Club have certainly caught the attention of many, including McGoldrick. The club’s efforts to modernise and improve its facilities have been met with excitement and anticipation. It’s always great to see a club moving forward and taking steps to enhance the experience for its players and fans alike.
  25. Signing an experienced player like David McGoldrick can be valuable for our team's success. Let's support the team and their new addition to reach our full potential.
