  1. Picture witnessing that goal in real time. I’m willing to bet that even the Coventry fans rose to their feet in admiration.
  2. The present moment is what truly counts. If people return, that’s wonderful, but if they don’t, that’s fine too. As long as we maintain a friendly, engaging, and pleasant environment, new members will join and the site will thrive.
  3. This site is enriched by so many wonderful contributors, kudos to both of you! I won’t mention either of you by name, but please know that I thoroughly enjoy reading the content you both share.
  4. Hello, welcome to the site. I hope you have fun here on PON @Strawb66.

  6. Hello, welcome to the site. I hope you have fun here on PON @Callumpie.
  7. The enthusiasm that Williams shows for nurturing young talents like James Sanderson is great to see. I believe the faith that he has in his players and his proactive measures will indeed result in a prosperous season for Notts
  8. There’s a great prospect within the academy, and I hope we can give more game time to the young lads. The academy is doing a fantastic job bringing players through, we just need to put them in the game.
  9. Wendy’s passion for Notts County is the kind that has helped us navigate numerous challenges. Her enthusiasm for the game, coupled with her commitment to a cause, serves as a shining example for all of us. It’s not just about engaging in football, but also about actively participating in society and making a difference. Wendy’s extraordinary fandom goes beyond cheering from the stands; it extends into her community, where she uses her love for the club to drive charitable efforts. Well done to Wendy for embodying what it truly means to be a fan!
  10. Notts certainly made it harder for themselves, showing resilience to level the score but repeating the same errors that initially gave Wimbledon the lead. Notts’ defence was lacking throughout the match, with too much dependence on Sam Slocombe to pull off a rescue act. We need to see more urgency in defence when teams figure out how to breach our back three. Also, there’s no disputing that penalty - Crowley clearly held onto the Wimbledon player. But Notts do need to improve their defence of set pieces.
  11. Rest in Peace, Terry Venables. Grateful for all the memories.
  12. I’ve cast my votes in both categories, wishing everyone the very best. It’s lovely to see this back.
  13. Having a high possession percentage doesn’t necessarily translate into success if it doesn’t lead to goal-scoring opportunities. I agree that at Meadow Lane, we seem more adept at breaking down teams, but we need to utilise the ball better and control the game. Macaulay Langstaff is starting to score regularly now, and I can’t help but feel we should be making things easier for him in attack and more solid when it comes to defending.
  14. Hello, @Darryl Chapman. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. Its good to have you on board.
  15. Davies was a joy to watch on the pitch. I wish he could have stayed with us for a longer period, but I don’t hold his decision to move to Derby County against him. At least he was transferred for a fee, which prevented us from losing out entirely.
  16. Crowley’s openness in expressing his love for playing in Notts and his connection with the home crowd is impressive. It’s clear that he thrives in this supportive environment. His contribution to the team is invaluable, he’s incredibly talented with an extraordinary goal-scoring record and the ability to inspire his teammates.
  17. I think this falls on the team's ability to cope under pressure. Notts had an outstanding first half, but couldn't maintain the lead, caving under the opposite team's resurgence. It’s time for the team to not just invest in playing better but also in mental conditioning.
  18. Jones has become an embodiment of tireless determination and skill, traits that have led him to Wembley not once, but twice. His raw talent is evident on the football pitch and what's more striking is his level-headed approach towards even the grandest of stages. The calmness with which he plays and his technical prowess enable him to outmanoeuvre his opponents, making him an integral part of Notts County. Also, Jones's reverence for Arsenal merits mention. His ability to juggle his fanaticism alongside his professional commitments is indeed commendable. It's this blend of character, attitude, and ability that will propel Jones to even greater heights in the world of football.
  19. What a boost Gosling's arrival is! Precisely the type of seasoned player to infuse the squad with enthusiasm and motivation. His Premier League experience will undoubtedly bring a new dynamic to the team and provide great learning opportunities for our less seasoned players. Hats off to the coach for such a strategic signing!
  20. I genuinely believe that we possess all the necessary elements to achieve a positive outcome, and I have full confidence that Luke Williams will give his utmost effort. The real question lies in how Gillingham will approach the game. Both teams have the ability to score goals, but we are fortunate to have a formidable squad that, in theory, should excel. Let's hope they take the field with a burning desire to showcase our team's true potential.
  21. Bristol City 1-2 Coventry City Hull City 0-1 Southampton Burton Albion 2-0 Bristol Rovers Peterborough United 2-1 Wycombe Wanderers Bradford City 3-2 Wrexham Colchester United 0-2 Harrogate Town Rochdale 1-0 Oldham Athletic Southend United 0-2 Solihull Moors Joker
  22. There's no doubt in my mind that if we have faith, Notts can secure the win. It's high time we savored a triumph against Gillingham, and I firmly believe that each player will heartedly strive for this result to materialise. Let's rally behind the team and maintain our support. Come on, Notts!
  23. Williams is putting in maximum effort, and it's important for us to acknowledge that there may be some challenging periods along the way. However, considering our potential for promotion, I believe he is exceeding expectations. Realistically, I see us having a good chance in the playoffs, given the number of games our squad has played. Although there is a possibility of finishing somewhere in the middle of the table, let's come together and show our support for the club.
  24. Undoubtedly, David McGoldrick has already demonstrated his value, and I am delighted to see his remarkable performance. His statement regarding bouncing back from defeats is absolutely correct. It is essential for us to make adequate preparations and exert diligent effort. While challenges may arise along the way, we possess the ability to overcome them.
  25. Ipswich Town 2-2 Hull City Plymouth Argyle 1-2 Millwall Blackpool 1-0 Derby County Bolton Wanderers 2-0 Stevenage Crewe Alexandra 0-1 Gillingham Morecambe 0-1 Accrington Stanley Altrincham 0-0 Aldershot Dagenham & Redbridge 2-1 York City Joker
