  1. Dennis deserves a lot of praise for how he has settled in. His finish at the back post was instinctive and shows he’s got that striker’s knack. It was also encouraging to see Gordon grab the winner, because we need players stepping up from the bench. I thought Norburn worked hard in midfield even if he wasn’t as effective on the ball as usual, but he kept us ticking. The defensive unit did their job late on, and Bedeau in particular made some important interventions. It feels like the squad is starting to find a balance between attack and defence, and if that continues, more wins like this will follow.

  2. Wasn’t sure what to expect this summer, but signing someone like Norburn early gives me a lot of hope. He’s clearly someone Gagliardi rates highly and has been chasing for a while, so that tells me this wasn’t a panic move. We’ve all seen what happens when teams don’t have someone in the middle to steady things, he’s the kind of player who’ll win second balls, shout instructions, and drag others up with him. I hope we give him a proper run in the side once he’s fit, and it would be brilliant to see him mentoring the younger midfielders as well. Could easily see him becoming a fan favourite if he settles in quickly.

  3. Notts has made some shrewd moves in this window. No big gambles, just players that strengthen key areas. Love that we’ve got variety up front now, and Traoré could be a huge asset once he settles. Also really impressed with Zac Johnson’s debut. he looked composed beyond his years.

With McDonald leading the defence and players returning from injury soon, we’re in a great spot. The mentality Maynard speaks about is so important, every player needs to feel part of it if we’re going to push for promotion.

  4. This team is really starting to click again. Maynard’s tactics were spot on again, we knew Gillingham would come at us early, but we handled it well and took over. McGoldrick and Jatta have been outstanding together, and you can see the mutual respect they have on the pitch. It’s not just about the goals either, their movement and work rate make such a difference. Thought Whittaker did well too, looked sharp and brought good energy. We made it harder than it needed to be in the second half, but overall, a great away performance. Also, got to mention the fans who made the trip, fantastic support as always. If we can keep up this level of performance, we’ll be in a great position come the end of the season.

  5. The cup match was quite the rollercoaster, but our defending needs serious improvement. Conceding four goals, especially with two coming from second balls, reveals how unsteady we are at the back. Abbott’s wonder goal was spectacular, and Scott’s sharp finish gave us early hope, but it's disheartening to see us lose leads like this. The team shows plenty of fight, but determination alone won't secure our safety.

  6. The match against Carlisle was a perfect showcase of Notts County’s strengths. From Bass’s heroics between the sticks to Jatta's striking prowess and Robertson's midfield dominance, the team showed why they are climbing up the League Two table. Playing away from home is always challenging, but the team handled the pressure admirably. The travelling fans were loud and proud, playing their part as the 12th man. This victory, particularly following a recent loss, demonstrates the team’s character and their readiness for the tougher challenges ahead.

  7. The news about Jodi's injury is really devastating for Notts and all the fans. It's infuriating to think that such a challenge could take one of our key players off the field for months. The league really needs to do more to protect attacking players from these dangerous tackles. Jodi’s strength and resilience are inspiring, and his promise to come back even stronger really lifts the spirits. We’ll miss his creativity and energy on the wing, but his words of encouragement mean a lot. Let's keep supporting Jodi and the rest of the team through this tough period. We believe in you, Jodi!

  8. I’m thrilled with how Crowley’s been performing! His contribution of goals and assists is pivotal for our unbeaten run. His level-headedness, despite being top of the table, shows great leadership and maturity. Crowley’s comments about the team’s chilled and focused nature are reassuring, especially as we head into key matches like the one against Gillingham. The mention of new players seamlessly fitting into the squad highlights the excellent work by the coaching staff too. Keeping rumours at bay and focusing on Notts is exactly what we need. Crowley's love for the club and his desire to stay and fight for glory make him a true asset.

  9. Absolutely brilliant performance by Notts! I was particularly impressed by the way the team kept control throughout the match. Crowley's goals were a highlight, showing his class and composure in front of the goal. Not forgetting Jatta’s opener, which really set the tone for the match. Every player seemed to know their role and executed it perfectly. This win is definitely a confidence booster for the season ahead. Can’t wait to see more of this attacking flair and solid defending in future games. Well done, Notts!

  10. The perspectives from Elliott and Neil show the different angles from which fans can view their club. It’s good to see that despite a rocky start, there’s a belief in the team’s potential. Neil’s more cautious optimism, highlighting areas needed for improvement such as squad depth, rings true. I think Grimsby’s fans can take heart from these views.

  11. I'm really impressed by Conor Grant's start at Notts. The transition hasn’t fazed him, and his experience should serve him well. I appreciate his down-to-earth attitude towards the pressure of replacing high-performing players like Langstaff. It's a sign of a player who’s not just talented but mentally strong too. I’m optimistic that Grant will make significant contributions this season, and I can't wait to see him continue to grow with the club.

  12. Excited for the match! Notts has a real chance to make a statement this weekend. After a tough start to the season, a home win against Fleetwood Town would certainly lift the spirits of both players and supporters. Alex Bass has been impressive in goal, and I believe if he continues that form, we have a good shot at keeping a clean sheet. With Maynard still moulding his squad, it's important for the new signings to step up and fill the gaps left by departed players. The tactical battle and the midfield duels will be intriguing, and I hope our defence tightens up to avoid conceding silly goals.

  13. This interview gives me so much hope for the next season! Stuart Maynard is clearly thinking ahead with these signings. Matty Platt is a solid addition to our defence, and Jacob Bedeau is a big plus. Alex Bass’s top-notch goalkeeping will hopefully fix some of our defensive woes from last season. Tsaroulla’s dribbling and defensive skills should fit well in our tactics too. Changing the captaincy and vice-captain roles to Langstaff and Palmer shows the club is keen on refreshing leadership.

  14. Williams's concern for Dan Gosling is remarkable. It's refreshing to see a manager who genuinely cares for the longer-term health and fitness of his players, even in the face of adversity. We should all applaud his commitment to player welfare.

In addition, the comments about the academy really underline his belief in home-grown talent. This investment in future generations, nurturing players from within, is how we'll build a robust and versatile team. There's something heartening about a manager who, in the face of challenges, takes visible pride in the club's youth system.
