  1. Getting back to winning ways and keeping our strong home form is just what we need from the lads. It’s important to build confidence and keep the momentum going. The Crewe result was a setback, but there’s no need to panic or feel worried. These things happen, and it’s part of the journey. We’ve still been showing signs of progress. Once everything clicks into place, I believe we’ll find that consistency we’ve been looking for. That’s what will help us climb the table and really push on. It starts with tomorrow’s match. Oldham are a solid side, but if our players work hard and focus on creating chances, there’s every chance we’ll get a good result.
  2. Jatta and Jones would still be crucial. I would keep Jarvis if he is for real, and Dennis could push on with regular games. Palmer should handle the step up, and Ness needs fitness to show what he can do. We would need depth elsewhere, especially at left wing back and in central midfield.
  3. The middle of the back three is a key area and Rod has helped us find balance. His positional sense is good and he is rarely dragged out of position. He also shows a calm manner that helps younger players like Bedeau grow into the role. I am not panicking about Platt’s injury; it gives us time to map out how the trio should work when he returns. The spine of the team is looking stronger with Rod in the middle, not simply because of form but because his all-round game supports the whole unit. If he keeps performing, Notts have a reliable base to build on.
  4. Back the club’s plans to invest in the academy and facilities as well as the squad. The Reedtz brothers want to build Notts for the long term. That matters. A coach can reach higher when the club grows off the pitch too. We must stay critical where needed but trust the process and back the vision.
  5. Notts fans have seen big talk before, but this feels different. Writing off a loan is rare and signals real patience and a plan. It reduces financial pressure on next summer's budget, which means the manager can focus on getting a rhythm with the squad rather than chasing last minute loans. It also sends a message to players that the owners are serious about building something sustainable, not just a quick win. We should hold them to that, and we should support sensible signings that fit the plan. Promotion is a long road, but clear, careful steps like this help us move in the right direction.
  6. Joe Palmer’s words resonate with the pride we all feel as Lifeline members. Knowing that our support funds Premier-standard facilities reinforces the tangible impact of our commitment to Notts. The gym and improvements like safe standing areas prove that our club is progressing, preparing players optimally while respecting fans' experiences at Meadow Lane. It's initiatives like these that create a more dynamic, enjoyable environment, attracting more fans to games and new members to Lifeline itself. Let’s keep this momentum, ensuring the foundations we lay today serve every purpose possible for seasons ahead.
  7. Continuity is the word here. Five head coaches in six years has unsettled the squad and the fans. The Reedtz brothers deserve credit for trying to create a plan, but the club needs to stick to it. Selling top players hurts, unless you replace them with better ones quickly. We cannot keep chasing cheaper options; we need quality in key areas, especially goal and attack. The academy should be a real route, not a revolving door for loans. If MP gets time to build a spine and a clear attacking identity, Notts can grow into a steadier side. It is not a promise of instant promotion, but it is a careful path forward.
  8. I want to feel confident week to week. It’s not enough to win games by luck or last minute goals. We need a plan that shows in every match, from the first whistle to the final whistle. That means defending well, moving the ball quickly, and finishing chances with calm. The Fleetwood game gave a hint of this when the team stayed compact and pressed at the right times. If we can repeat that level of focus across most fixtures, the mood around Meadow Lane will improve and the results will be steadier. Fans will stay patient if the team looks organised and purposeful.
  9. Dennis deserves a lot of praise for how he has settled in. His finish at the back post was instinctive and shows he’s got that striker’s knack. It was also encouraging to see Gordon grab the winner, because we need players stepping up from the bench. I thought Norburn worked hard in midfield even if he wasn’t as effective on the ball as usual, but he kept us ticking. The defensive unit did their job late on, and Bedeau in particular made some important interventions. It feels like the squad is starting to find a balance between attack and defence, and if that continues, more wins like this will follow.
  10. Great to see a new face @NCRichie! We’re all about keeping things friendly, fair, and full of Notts chat. Welcome to PON.
  11. Great to see a new face @Stevelatimer! We’re all about keeping things friendly, fair, and full of Notts chat. Welcome to PON.
  12. Best of luck to him at Barnsley. They're making a big fuss in the media about him signing, almost like it’s the biggest deal ever. If I was one of their fans, I’d be raising an eyebrow. He's a decent player, sure, but they’re carrying on like he's in the prime of youth. He’s not 25, lads.
  13. It does seem like the next manager might already be working elsewhere. It would be great if Notts could bring in someone from a strong setup like the Danish Under-21s. As long as the new coach is given proper support, I think they’ll have every chance to get the best out of the team we’ve got.
  14. Rest in peace, Dick Edwards. He should be remembered for everything he gave to Notts County.
  15. You’d be daft not to keep hold of your gold. Canada is putting money into building its infrastructure and finding new ways to earn, which makes sense. But having no safety net is a bit naïve. I think it’s true that the UK stores gold for several countries, and most of it doesn’t even belong to us.
  16. This is a brilliant idea and a great way to use the PON gallery. I’d love to see the Faces of PON featured again next season, all being well.
  17. Fair play to Luke Williams. It must be quite humbling to leave a club where you’ve had success and take on the challenge of managing in the Championship. Some managers might rush into new jobs, and we don’t know if Williams is just waiting for the right opportunity to come his way.
  18. Wasn’t sure what to expect this summer, but signing someone like Norburn early gives me a lot of hope. He’s clearly someone Gagliardi rates highly and has been chasing for a while, so that tells me this wasn’t a panic move. We’ve all seen what happens when teams don’t have someone in the middle to steady things, he’s the kind of player who’ll win second balls, shout instructions, and drag others up with him. I hope we give him a proper run in the side once he’s fit, and it would be brilliant to see him mentoring the younger midfielders as well. Could easily see him becoming a fan favourite if he settles in quickly.
  19. This seems like a really sensible loan. We’ve clearly learned from last season with Abbott, bringing in someone who’s had exposure to senior football, even just in glimpses, is smart. Iorpenda's got a strong background too, with Brighton and Huddersfield both being good places for young players to develop. The height and versatility in midfield will be useful, especially with the physical sides we come up against in League Two. Hopefully, he gets a good run of games and shows what he can do. Injuries can be a worry, but if he’s fully fit, I’m excited to see what he brings.
  20. Notts has made some shrewd moves in this window. No big gambles, just players that strengthen key areas. Love that we’ve got variety up front now, and Traoré could be a huge asset once he settles. Also really impressed with Zac Johnson’s debut. he looked composed beyond his years. With McDonald leading the defence and players returning from injury soon, we’re in a great spot. The mentality Maynard speaks about is so important, every player needs to feel part of it if we’re going to push for promotion.
  21. This team is really starting to click again. Maynard’s tactics were spot on again, we knew Gillingham would come at us early, but we handled it well and took over. McGoldrick and Jatta have been outstanding together, and you can see the mutual respect they have on the pitch. It’s not just about the goals either, their movement and work rate make such a difference. Thought Whittaker did well too, looked sharp and brought good energy. We made it harder than it needed to be in the second half, but overall, a great away performance. Also, got to mention the fans who made the trip, fantastic support as always. If we can keep up this level of performance, we’ll be in a great position come the end of the season.
  22. Happy birthday, Neil! Thanks for everything you did for Notts County!
  23. The cup match was quite the rollercoaster, but our defending needs serious improvement. Conceding four goals, especially with two coming from second balls, reveals how unsteady we are at the back. Abbott’s wonder goal was spectacular, and Scott’s sharp finish gave us early hope, but it's disheartening to see us lose leads like this. The team shows plenty of fight, but determination alone won't secure our safety.
  24. Jevani’s thoughts on the team’s possession style are spot on! I’ve noticed we’re much stronger in that area, and it really plays to his strengths.
  25. The match against Carlisle was a perfect showcase of Notts County’s strengths. From Bass’s heroics between the sticks to Jatta's striking prowess and Robertson's midfield dominance, the team showed why they are climbing up the League Two table. Playing away from home is always challenging, but the team handled the pressure admirably. The travelling fans were loud and proud, playing their part as the 12th man. This victory, particularly following a recent loss, demonstrates the team’s character and their readiness for the tougher challenges ahead.
