  1. The news about Jodi's injury is really devastating for Notts and all the fans. It's infuriating to think that such a challenge could take one of our key players off the field for months. The league really needs to do more to protect attacking players from these dangerous tackles. Jodi’s strength and resilience are inspiring, and his promise to come back even stronger really lifts the spirits. We’ll miss his creativity and energy on the wing, but his words of encouragement mean a lot. Let's keep supporting Jodi and the rest of the team through this tough period. We believe in you, Jodi!
  2. Notts should be mostly unchanged, with Alex Bass in goal and the three centre backs being the usuals. I think Conor Grant will start, along with Dan Crowley and Matt Palmer. The question is who will lead the attack? Will we play both Jatta and David McGoldrick, or will we start one and play another attacking midfielder? I am hoping it’s not a nerve-wracking game, as I am used to things being a lot easier to cope with.
  3. They have had a very poor start. Once January comes, I would guess that they will try to strengthen further. Depending on where they are, they will be very determined to avoid losing their league status.
  4. Who knows? It doesn’t seem likely to be beaten any time soon. We could be in the Premier League and it would be difficult to beat that amount of goals, so I don’t think it gets any easier further up.
  5. Awful news. He’s been such a good player in recent games, but it’s better he gets treated. It’s a strange outcome as he did look fine and completed the game, but I am sure Curtis Edwards will be missed.
  6. Yes, it would be nice after the past seasons of not being able to generate a good cup run to finally have one again. Notts would benefit from it, so it’s positive more than negative. The only concern is potential injuries, but it means more minutes for players which could be good.
  7. I’m thrilled with how Crowley’s been performing! His contribution of goals and assists is pivotal for our unbeaten run. His level-headedness, despite being top of the table, shows great leadership and maturity. Crowley’s comments about the team’s chilled and focused nature are reassuring, especially as we head into key matches like the one against Gillingham. The mention of new players seamlessly fitting into the squad highlights the excellent work by the coaching staff too. Keeping rumours at bay and focusing on Notts is exactly what we need. Crowley's love for the club and his desire to stay and fight for glory make him a true asset.
  8. I will tell you what, if a Londoner is ever welcoming or friendly, it will surprise you. That will cause some shock.
  9. It was a strong performance and very pleasing to watch. It makes a change that Notts gets the rub of the green. I think the second goal could be considered lucky not to have been disallowed, but those are distractions from how Notts played and excuses for why Grimsby were so poor. I don’t want to get carried away, but a few more performances like this and we might have more optimism that we could challenge for promotion. I think the early signs are good.
  10. Sven is a very brave man who should be remembered for his contributions and kindness. As for us Notts fans, we will be forever in his debt for all he did.
  11. Good luck to him; it’s a dream job for anyone who loves football.
  12. Absolutely brilliant performance by Notts! I was particularly impressed by the way the team kept control throughout the match. Crowley's goals were a highlight, showing his class and composure in front of the goal. Not forgetting Jatta’s opener, which really set the tone for the match. Every player seemed to know their role and executed it perfectly. This win is definitely a confidence booster for the season ahead. Can’t wait to see more of this attacking flair and solid defending in future games. Well done, Notts!
  13. The perspectives from Elliott and Neil show the different angles from which fans can view their club. It’s good to see that despite a rocky start, there’s a belief in the team’s potential. Neil’s more cautious optimism, highlighting areas needed for improvement such as squad depth, rings true. I think Grimsby’s fans can take heart from these views.
  14. I'm really impressed by Conor Grant's start at Notts. The transition hasn’t fazed him, and his experience should serve him well. I appreciate his down-to-earth attitude towards the pressure of replacing high-performing players like Langstaff. It's a sign of a player who’s not just talented but mentally strong too. I’m optimistic that Grant will make significant contributions this season, and I can't wait to see him continue to grow with the club.
  15. Excited for the match! Notts has a real chance to make a statement this weekend. After a tough start to the season, a home win against Fleetwood Town would certainly lift the spirits of both players and supporters. Alex Bass has been impressive in goal, and I believe if he continues that form, we have a good shot at keeping a clean sheet. With Maynard still moulding his squad, it's important for the new signings to step up and fill the gaps left by departed players. The tactical battle and the midfield duels will be intriguing, and I hope our defence tightens up to avoid conceding silly goals.
  16. Last season, Notts suffered due to having a small squad. There were instances when we could have given a chance to some of the younger players, but instead, we waited to bring in new recruits. I would prefer a squad large enough to allow for rotation and occasional breaks for some players. I don’t see the point in naming anyone who is unlikely to play, so there’s scope to expand the squad.
  17. Today was just another ordinary working day. It was a bit humid at times, but I don’t believe most workplaces are designed to maintain a comfortable temperature. There were no thrills or excitement.
  18. With a fresh batch of young players, it becomes particularly challenging to find your opportunity to play more in a first-team environment. Ryley Reynolds appears to be a promising player, but like others, a change of head coach could easily alter his situation. I sincerely hope that one day, we will have several home-grown talents ready to compete.

  22. It’s a pleasure to welcome Rod McDonald to Notts. I’m delighted that we’ve further bolstered our defence. I’m hopeful that we can add some more players to our midfield. It will be promising to see how the squad shapes up for the upcoming season.
  23. The interview was excellent and has sparked excitement for me. I believe all the decisions are sensible. The four signings so far are of high quality and quite impressive. Stuart Maynard addressing the change in captain and vice-captaincy is a positive move, as it allows him to have his own leaders on the pitch.
  24. It’s always positive to see the club being represented. I’m not familiar with who she is, but it’s beneficial nonetheless.
  25. I’ve watched snippets of it and didn’t find it particularly engaging. I don’t find Alan Carr especially humorous. It brought to mind the sitcom “The Grimleys”, albeit not as good.
