  1. They have signed a cracking player who can give them an edge in League One. I think Oxford will be in the running for the playoffs, maybe upper mid-table, but Ruben now has the chance to push on with his career. I just hope they don’t end up selling him for a silly fee, as we have clearly lost out.
  2. I think Oxford United have signed a very confident player who, with the right support, will make a difference to their team. Oxford have been trying to get into the Championship and I think Ruben will help with that. I wish him the best of luck and am also saddened to see him leave Notts.
  3. I am disappointed that he has left for Oxford United. It’s not the biggest step up and I would have thought we could push for promotion. In the end, it should all work out. Ruben Rodrigues has been a vital player for Notts and that is something he will have left behind.
  4. Charlie sure knows how to tell them. I agree with others who say it reflects well on McGoldrick. It would be hard for a footballer to attend many games while actively playing, yet it’s still good to think he came to show his support.
  5. We’ll have to wait and see how things go, won’t we? Just because I haven’t heard of him or most of the people who replied doesn’t mean he doesn’t have talent.
  6. Yes, it’s a good thing that he ended up being caught and banned. Sometimes they manage to burst back into the stands and hide amongst their friends, which makes it hard. Usually, most do get caught.
  7. Good luck to Dicko. He was a fiery goof, but I wish him well. Bury could do far worse, I feel.
  8. Austria was a decent guess, but Croatia is a surprise. I wish Ricardo all the best and hope he can transform the club into an ambitious team that fights for a good position in the league. Can you imagine if he managed to get them into Europe?
  9. It’s true that some players simply need more time to reach their full potential, while others just need to find the right team. Experience is a valuable skill that can be transferred between teams, but it can be difficult to gain without the right encouragement and support.
  10. Ruben Rodrigues had an incredible season - take a bow! I hope he has one more great season with us so we can see if we can make it to League One. If we do, who knows what could happen?
  11. Gateshead will take good care of Ed Francis. I hope he does well for them and I’ll be keeping an eye on his progress.
  12. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. You will see PON is a very good website.
  13. Welcome to PON, @calw_111. It would be nice if you would introduce yourself to us?
  14. Welcome to PON, @Bigrossco1862. It would be nice if you would introduce yourself to us?
  15. It’s always great to see one of our own representing their country. Good luck to Jodi and Malta!
  16. I buy coffee from instant machines in supermarkets and local stores if I want a warm drink. Sometimes I will buy one from Greggs; I stay clear of Costa fortune and Starregrets. It makes sound like a right cheapskate.
  17. I wish Kristian Dennis all the best, after being kept out of the team and hardly used at times in the National League. I don't hold anything against him, he tried whenever he played. He could have easily asked to leave sooner!
  18. Sooner or later one of these rumours will turn out to be true, I think this one might have some substance to it. The club may have been tracking this player for a while. I think we have a good chance of signing almost any player we want now, mostly because of the positive atmosphere and momentum we have created at the club and the fact that players can see we are building something special here.
  19. It will remind you of the famous quote, 'they think it's all over' but at which point this will be true, I do not know. For now, welcome to PON @Ohh Tommy Johnson.
  20. It's nice to be saying, hello @Stuart jackson. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham.
  21. It’s great seeing so many members engaging with the community. The post goal reaching green so many times is really wholesome to see! It’s nothing short of great. Thank you for all your efforts, @Chris.
  22. The Saudi League isn’t all that special. I have seen games and it’s amazing how easily the likes of Ronaldo manage to find the net. It’s not a very entertaining league and it will only be ruined by throwing silly money at players at the wrong end of their careers.
  23. I hope that Boreham Wood will be promoted next season as they fully deserve it more than Chesterfield. It would also be great to see Woking make it to the playoff final. As for Chesterfield, they can remain in the National League. They have never risen above League One and their fans are known for their rowdy behaviour during nights out. It would bring me great satisfaction to see them reach the top, only to falter and lose in the final once again.
  24. It’s a sensible acquisition. He has consistently performed well for Sutton and should integrate well with our playing style. Luke Williams has spoken favourably of him and Will Randall has commended Williams’ coaching. It seems like a prudent signing.
  25. Philip is as untrustworthy as his brother. There seems to be more to the story, but everything is being kept quiet. He’s just another Jimmy Savile. I apologise, but he tried to portray himself as a victim when he’s not. https://www.rte.ie/entertainment/2023/0601/1387014-phillip-schofield-is-utterly-broken-and-ashamed/#:~:text=Phillip Schofield has categorically denied, just about "career advice".
