  1. Some things carry on for too long, and others just need a change. I think both of these apply to the club playing in Germany. At our level, it ends up being expensive for fans to travel. While it’s a unique experience, I feel like it’s had its time now.

It’s something the club should only do every few years. That way, the squad can be better prepared, and the staff can do more by staying local. We should focus on teams that are closer to our level. Port Vale and Cardiff were good choices and made more sense for where we are.

  2. I don’t think we’ll sell Alassana Jatta just yet. I doubt Doncaster Rovers could afford to spend so much on a single player, and is goal scoring really their biggest concern? He might leave at the end of next season, but right now, I don’t see him going anywhere.

With David McGoldrick gone, Notts can’t afford to take risks with our star striker.

  3. When we signed him, you would have thought he would have been the signing that Jatta has been given the chance to be. Then again, we might not have signed Jatta if Junior Morias had been a success.

Still, I don't understand why the club didn't make the move work out better. Instead of sending him out on loan, we could have used someone who could score.

  4. Stuart Maynard faces a daunting task setting up the team for this match against Carlisle United. Our injuries are mounting, and every player's performance will be crucial. We need to have a robust midfield to control the game, and our defence must be rock-solid to avoid conceding early goals. It’s essential we exploit counter-attacking opportunities effectively. A draw seems like the most realistic outcome, but I am always hopeful we can grab all three points. Regardless of the result, it’s important that we see effort and resilience from the lads.

  5. Compared to the standards of this year, the first half was quite dreadful and, at times, downright awful. However, when considering all the dreadful squads that Notts has had over the years, it wasn't that terrible. If Woking had scored, we might have had grounds for complaints, but the game was rather evenly matched. It's challenging to find fault with a 3-0 home victory, a clean sheet, and a satisfactory overall performance.

  6. The Notts squad stepped up, one issue about the performance is those who will moan if its not repeated, rather than just enjoying this win. All the goals were of excellent quality, I thought Notts could have scored more.

They kept the tempo for the most part and made Chesterfield work.

Very poor team, their keeper played a shocking game.
