  1. I didn’t think Notts would beat Stoke. I thought we might be able to match them more closely, but there was a lot for the players to get used to in the first half. They pressed, bullied and wouldn’t let us have a second. Young players will always rush and make mistakes, but I don’t see it as being a problem. A stronger squad in the first half would have dealt with it differently, and I continue to encourage Williams to give the right youngsters more game time.
  2. I don’t mind them reducing the number of pages, but if the company they use only does 30, 60, etc., might it be worth looking to see if there are better and cheaper alternatives out there? 30 pages should be fine, but there may be times when a few more pages are needed. Lowering the number should also reduce the time needed to produce the content.
  3. It’s good that Shaun Derry has been re-hired by Crystal Palace under a new regime; Palace must appreciate his coaching. It’s good for him to return to the club.
  4. I am considering joining, but I can’t say if I would commit. I haven’t done much on Twitter, and I sort of regret joining that due to the changes.
  5. They need to make a shirt for the dog, then it could really be a fan! It’s a funny and nice video. The owners are lucky too, that the dog enjoys football as much as they do.
  6. I agree with this; we need to be thankful that we are back in the Football League. The issue is that football is a fickle sport, and some selfish people only think about their own needs without considering the thoughts of others. I think if you hurl abuse at a football match, it says a lot about that type of person in general. I wonder how some of these types would like it if someone shouted abuse at them while they were trying to work? When you think things couldn’t be beaten with how pathetic they seem, some have to go that extra step further and take it out on the players for a friendly defeat.
  7. I think I joined Twitter at the wrong time. At the moment, I just read. I don’t blame Elon Musk for taking action; Treads is a direct copy, but what will come of that, I don’t know.
  8. I like both the home and away shirts; both look classy to me. The home shirt takes some getting used to, but once you get past the different look, I think it will grow on fans. The away shirt is lovely.
  9. I think it’s a good move. I have seen fans who have said they hoped he would come here, which is fair. Those who think he’s better than Stone and are being negative about it should give Aidan Stone more of a chance. Archie Mair was good, but I don’t think he was quite ready to push to be our number one.

  19. It's great to hear how the academy benefits from the promotion. The club has been working hard in this area, and from the Nuneaton game, it seems we have quite a few youngsters with a good level of potential. However, all that hard work fails if we can't secure them the proper experience needed. If loan moves are a question, we need to be less afraid to play them and try to give the more senior youth players actual development time. If Crewe and other clubs can bring in their own homegrown players, why are we stopping ourselves? It's a good read of the Academy manager's thoughts.
  20. These are the updates that should happen when the club has a few players out. I just love how Luke Williams is open and goes about detailing the answers to questions. Notts County’s media team deserves credit for stepping things up; they have been doing great, and we are all very lucky to have everyone at the club now.
  21. You can see how the ideas and thinking process are being transferred onto the pitch. Notts are quite thoughtful and aware of how to attack in games, and getting Macaulay Langstaff, Cedwyn Scott, David McGoldrick, and Junior Morias all fired up for the new season can only be a good thing. I am keen to see how they all perform in tomorrow’s friendly, except for Morias, who is carrying a knock.
  22. I would like Luke Williams to start with what he believes is his best XI, then make changes as the game goes on. For example, removing Matt Palmer at the 35-minute mark would allow us to see if the club now has a replacement for him. I doubt this will happen, but swapping players in and removing others would be a big reveal for Notts.
  23. It's great to have you here, @JackMagpie95. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham!
  24. That's great! but even when you can just get on to add your thoughts, you will soon get into the swing of things. It's just nice to have new members joining in. Welcome to PON @nottsfan81.
  25. Andy Dallas would be a great addition to any League Two team. I think he would do well with a team that can create chances. The reason he struggled with Solihull Moors and Weymouth is their lack of direct threat. Solihull Moors are a good team, but Neal Ardley isn’t an attacking-minded manager, and Weymouth were just poor.
