  1. Good luck to Michael Doyle; I always appreciated what he did for Notts.
  2. @KB1862 I wouldn’t want to be on the end of his rant; I think I would prefer one from Alex Ferguson because I don’t think it would be as intimidating. Plus, I would find it hard to understand and not laugh at him.
  3. Today, I had college and rested for the most part. Tomorrow, I am going to see Notts take on Forest, and on Sunday, if the weather is up to it, I should be going to Sheffield.
  4. Notts should send him a personal card, wishing him better. With the insert inside playing White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army.
  5. I don’t follow any other clubs or sports; I am only interested in Notts. @yelobeli
  6. I think it might be between four teams until at least next year. I can’t see one team running away with it, but I do believe Chesterfield should be the favourites. I secretly hope they struggle and end up bottling the playoffs. I would like them to break Wrexham’s exile record from the Football League. It would teach their idiot fans.
  7. The soft drinks are always warm, and they lose the fizz with the bottle caps taken off. It makes me laugh when they do this because there are so many things you can take in that you could throw if you were an idiot. I am not sure what damage a plastic cap can do to a footballer.
  8. It’s bad for football that players can’t take the time to look after their squad. I remember Notts fans complaining to Notts over allowing Matt Tootle time away from the club. Yet I praised Notts for that decision because you have to put the human side of things first and above everything else. Football is just a game; yes, we are loyal fans who obsess over victory, but not at the cost of someone’s health. I wish Dele Ali all the success that he can gain from getting his career back on track; hopefully, he repays Everton’s loyalty and support too.
  9. I thought a lot of the Stoke players before the changes looked decent. I can’t say I remember much about this player, but if he started in the first half, he falls within the good players.
  10. I hope we are more determined not to make silly mistakes. If the players do, I won’t call or shout nonsense at them, but I would feel disappointed. There are teams who play in friendlies like this, where the result matters. For me, I don’t care as much about winning, more about not embarrassing ourselves, which includes the fans. I would at least hope we find the net; otherwise, I just want to watch two Nottingham teams respecting each other. No doubt some armchair Forest fans will turn up trying it on.
  11. Southend looks awkwardly in deep trouble. I can’t see how this will be resolved by the time they are next due in court. I hate to write this, but where are they getting the money from? Their chairman won’t be paying it.
  12. I don’t know much about them either, but hopefully, they can survive as it’s not easy being in this situation.
  13. We are a good community, @Kevin May. There are plenty of Notts fans who talk and interact, it would be great to see you join in. Welcome to PON.

  15. Barnsley should be punished for this. It sounds unfair and very much like cheating. If the EFL doesn’t know who’s putting in money, how do they protect the club when things go wrong? Though, if it’s been happening since 2017, then it’s taken a while for the charges to be pressed. If they are guilty, then they need to be fined for starters.
  16. I’m not bothered. I think for some fans it will be great, but I’m not fussed about these things.
  17. It sounds like the review was necessary and the suspension justified. It’s his fault he got banned for three games. You can’t strike a player and expect to get away with a yellow card. York City fans need to understand this, remove their rose-tinted glasses, and criticise their player for his foolish decision.
  18. Solid summary of our Summer signings. With the newly added depth and quality, Notts County should be unstoppable this season. Can't wait for it to kick off!
  19. Do you have any pictures of the food you cooked? At least we know who can do the PON BBQ at the end of the season when we are all celebrating promotion again.
  20. Jon Stead should do wonders for Barnsley. I hope he takes to being a league coach because I can imagine it’s better pay than doing your own coaching.
  21. Neil Warnock sounds like a real character. I have seen videos of him ranting at his players and then snapping back into a nice guy. I have seen him kick water bottles in anger, argue with officials, and this is probably the funniest thing.
  22. I am surprised that they haven’t already appointed a new manager at this stage; it makes you wonder what’s going on. If they struggle, it will be one less team to worry about this season.
  23. Spencer Weir-Daley.
  24. I was hoping that Notts would have a community day, but it seems unlikely now that this is happening. I do think it’s a nice touch by Notts. I believe they are hoping to sell more merchandise by doing it during opening hours, which is a clever way to try to increase sales.
  25. I am not sure if I would consider this an upgrade or downgrade for him. I do think he’s a fantastic player, so I wish him well. I hope the move proves to be a good one.
