Oxford vaccine being passed should really ramp up the roll out as it will enable pharmacists and other outlets to administer it.

That would be called an Aeroplane mate.... I’m not a fan of this government and it has made some gigantic mistakes and wasted shed loads of money regarding COVID, but will give it (or rather the MHRA) credit with passing the vaccine for use and the NHS for distributing it. The EU’s response has been very slow and they had to bring this decision forward because countries are desperate for the vaccine. I’ll be interested to see numbers when it comes to vaccine distribution on how all the 27 countries will receive the same amount of vaccine per head at the same time.- Coronavirus
Meanwhile... UK covid-19 vaccinations administered: 500,000+ EU covid-19 vaccinations administered : 0 MHRA Passes vaccine for use 2nd December EU Passes same vaccine 21st December Sometimes it’s worth paying a bit more to get it first.- Coronavirus

Quite @lambleypie. I'm not concerned about the Moderna vaccine and only getting low numbers of it, it's a nonstory really pushed by people trying to score political points. Both the Pfizer and Oxford vaccine will be available before it and we have ordered 140 million doses between the two of them. I doubt they will get to me on the list until the back end of next year at the earliest and you young ones won't get it at all.- Coronavirus
Sorry @Chris, I could not disagree more with your first part. If anything, years 10 and 11 are old enough to cope with remote learning, plus it is the older teens that spread the virus more than younger pupils. Younger pupils HAVE to have face to face schooling as for most, nothing will be done at home and some, especially those from poorer families it seems will never catch up in the future, which would be a tragedy as basically you are throwing away nearly halve a generation of kids by leaving them with no future. Out of all the schools I attend, not one member of teaching staff has wanted their school to close and they are the ones who you could say are at greater risk of contracting it. Totally agree regarding University students, they should never have reopened and that probably all comes down to the money they generate. They are all working remotely now anyway so should have stayed at home to do it.- Coronavirus
Opening schools and keeping them open is 100% the right thing to do, regardless of transmission. A lot of children need the routine and structure of school to aid their development and for some children, it is the only place they can feel safe.- Coronavirus
Not too fussed about it to be honest, just reminds me of the swine flu pandemic around 10 years ago. I think there is more danger from panic than the actual virus and I'm just hoping the hysteria has died down before the end of May when I'm due to go on holiday.- Match Discussion: Game 18 - The Robins (H)
Spineless and gutless. Need we say any more? No creativity in the midfield and definitely no defensive qualities either. They are a complete shambles and if nothing is done to organise this rabble soon it will be “Welcome to the newest National league club in the world”.- Match Discussion: EFL Trophy - Rovers (H)
Same here, totally forgot about the game until I picked up my phone at 9:30 and say that we were 4-2 up. Not interested in the slightest and think I only posted once on Twitter about it. Have no idea on the side except that Boldewijn and Dennis played because they scored.- Match Discussion: Game 13 - Latics (H)
Is it down to the National I fear? Get in the bin Kewell, you know about as much as Fullerton.- Match Discussion: Game 17 - The Valiants (A)
Is the right answer! For someone allegedly 6ft 3 (I have my doubts) he is unable to command his area and his judgement as to whether to stay or go is farcical at times. As long as he has no one challenging him he won’t be on his game. Big mistake not bringing another keeper in during the summer.- Recruitment, recruitment, recruitment
We recruited badly in the summer, people were looking at Boldewijn, Dennis, Hemmings, Vaughan and were thinking that it would be easy this year (even the Peterborough chairman thought we would be up there), but we released: Collin - Not replaced O'Connor - Not replaced Shola - Not replaced Milsom - OK, he's back, but only just Forte - (goals not replaced) Alan Smith - Not replaced (maybe not on the pitch, but behind the scenes) The top three are the killers, Keeper, Midfield linchpin, and Target Man, pretty much the spine of the side. Without these, we were always going to struggle. There are six, or seven players that need to go in January, but can't see them willing to drop to non league, which is probably the only league that would want them. Looking at the side now, it is a bit damning that the only summer signings in the first XI are Boldewijn and Hemmings. Vaughan looks terrible and not suited to league 2, Dennis & Kellett have never looked fit, Thomas has looked OK in patches and the kids don't count. I don't think we will go down (famous last words), but I cannot currently see us finishing anywhere in the top half now.- Match Discussion: EFL Trophy - Magpies (H)
Doubt we can do that without paying a 5 grand fine. 7.3 Each EFL Club shall play its Full Available Strength in and during all Matches. Full Available Strength means the EFL Club must include at least four Qualifying Players in the ten outfield Players named in the starting eleven on the Team Sheet. Which basically means four of the players that played on Saturday, or four out of the ten that have made most appearances so far.- Video Discussion: Lionesses at the Lane
Neither do I mate, women’s football is really dire and almost comical.- Video Discussion: Lionesses at the Lane
That is because you will see better football on your local park every Saturday.- Match Discussion: Game 39 - The Spireites (A)
We're never going to have a plan B as long as Nolan continues this obsession of substituting a player for one in exactly the same position. The first player didn't work, so what on earth makes him think that another will, doing exactly the same thing is so maddening! Take a chance in games, we could have had a lot more points by being a bit more adventurous at times, especially against lower table opposition.- Former Notts County youth player Jamie Parkes comes third in horse racing debut
Wow, he's maturing. I remember Jamie as a young boy when he and his father ran a disabled youth football side in Rainworth and he was a top lad and always willing to help. I'm glad he's finding a new career. I can also understand why we let him go though as he was tiny, but seem to remember that we did something similar with Darren Huckerby?- Match Discussion: Game 38 - The Stags (H)
It's a Saturday, it's Mansfield, guaranteed loss! Please Notts, for once, just beat them as I am fed up with this. I remember a time when we never lost to them and it was a guaranteed 3 points, now the boot is firmly on the other foot. I'm just hoping that Flitcroft is still clueless as to his best side and we can sneak a goal, but personally think a draw is the best we can hope for as their squad is better than ours.- Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Grecians (H)
We did dominate the second half, but that was after the switch to 4-4-2, before that we were woeful. If we are to stay in the automatics I think we proved that: Shola has to start, Stead can't play up front on his own. He never had any support at all at times. Hewitt isn't a CH and has to be in midfield. Nobody was there to break down Exeter when they had the ball. Play Dicko as the Emergency CH until we sign one. Hunt was pretty shocking and we badly missed Tootle. New signings have to be drip fed into the side and not wholesale changes. Play 4-4-2 and stop trying to over complicate things. We got where we are by doing the basics well. We have to win tomorrow night and we also have to win most of the games up until we play Mansfield as we have a much tougher run in.- Kevin Nolan: 'Key refereeing decisions cost Notts County against Exeter City'
- Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Grecians (H)
Another key game and a win would set us up brilliantly for a run of games that are all winnable. Will be interesting to see if we go with Virtue, or Noble to start and a new forward on the bench would be nice! 1-1 to Notts!- Match Discussion: Game 28 - Red Imps (A)
Now that takes me back! That was a brilliant game, Notts cruising at 3-0, then Lincoln bring on some long haired youth who transformed them and they got the game back to 3-3, just for us to get the next two. Great day, great season.- Match Discussion: Game 28 - Red Imps (A)
Initially, I thought this would be a really hard game as they have been on a good run and also gave us a bit of a runaround for the first half hour earlier in the season. Having just had a look at their results, the only top ten sides they have beat are Swindon, when they couldn't buy a win a home and Accrington the other week. Does this mean that they are in a false position? I think home advantage will count for a lot with their backing and Leigh Curtis tweeted that a new signing is expected before the game for them, so I think a draw would be a good result. I'm just hoping that all this furore over Grant and Yates going back doesn't materialise and we can go about our business uninterrupted for the rest of the season. 1-1 Grant with a 92nd minute equaliser!! - Coronavirus
