That is because you will see better football on your local park every Saturday.

We're never going to have a plan B as long as Nolan continues this obsession of substituting a player for one in exactly the same position. The first player didn't work, so what on earth makes him think that another will, doing exactly the same thing is so maddening! Take a chance in games, we could have had a lot more points by being a bit more adventurous at times, especially against lower table opposition.

Wow, he's maturing. I remember Jamie as a young boy when he and his father ran a disabled youth football side in Rainworth and he was a top lad and always willing to help. I'm glad he's finding a new career. I can also understand why we let him go though as he was tiny, but seem to remember that we did something similar with Darren Huckerby?

It's a Saturday, it's Mansfield, guaranteed loss! Please Notts, for once, just beat them as I am fed up with this. I remember a time when we never lost to them and it was a guaranteed 3 points, now the boot is firmly on the other foot. I'm just hoping that Flitcroft is still clueless as to his best side and we can sneak a goal, but personally think a draw is the best we can hope for as their squad is better than ours.

We did dominate the second half, but that was after the switch to 4-4-2, before that we were woeful. If we are to stay in the automatics I think we proved that: Shola has to start, Stead can't play up front on his own. He never had any support at all at times. Hewitt isn't a CH and has to be in midfield. Nobody was there to break down Exeter when they had the ball. Play Dicko as the Emergency CH until we sign one. Hunt was pretty shocking and we badly missed Tootle. New signings have to be drip fed into the side and not wholesale changes. Play 4-4-2 and stop trying to over complicate things. We got where we are by doing the basics well. We have to win tomorrow night and we also have to win most of the games up until we play Mansfield as we have a much tougher run in.

No Kevin, poor team selection lost us the game, not the referee. You finally got it right after bringing Shola on and that was the side that should have started the game. Learn from your mistakes and don’t blame the ref for them.

Another key game and a win would set us up brilliantly for a run of games that are all winnable. Will be interesting to see if we go with Virtue, or Noble to start and a new forward on the bench would be nice! 1-1 to Notts!

Now that takes me back! That was a brilliant game, Notts cruising at 3-0, then Lincoln bring on some long haired youth who transformed them and they got the game back to 3-3, just for us to get the next two. Great day, great season.

Initially, I thought this would be a really hard game as they have been on a good run and also gave us a bit of a runaround for the first half hour earlier in the season. Having just had a look at their results, the only top ten sides they have beat are Swindon, when they couldn't buy a win a home and Accrington the other week. Does this mean that they are in a false position? I think home advantage will count for a lot with their backing and Leigh Curtis tweeted that a new signing is expected before the game for them, so I think a draw would be a good result. I'm just hoping that all this furore over Grant and Yates going back doesn't materialise and we can go about our business uninterrupted for the rest of the season. 1-1 Grant with a 92nd minute equaliser!!

I take it that this is automated? Otherwise we must have been kicked out of the FA cup this weekend!

Swindon were one of the sides I thought would be fighting for a top 3 spot, but they have gone right off the boil recently and have hardly won a game, so should be a good time to play them. Will probably see a change back to the more solid usual line up and try to grind out a result, so will go for a 1- 1 draw to Notts ()

Been looking forward to this one for quite a while, but not sure that now is the right time to be playing them as they have won their last three games (although their last two were against the bottom two sides), so their confidence will be up. We'll probably play the same XI as last week, but I'm not going to put the mockers on them by predicting we'll win, so I'll go with a 2-2- draw!

All depends on which Luton turn up, will it be the one that spanked Stevenage, Cambridge and Yeovil? In which case it will be a long afternoon, or will it be the one beaten convincingly at home by Swindon and Coventry? Personally I think they are starting to gain some consistency and I just can't see us containing their front men, so it will go one of two ways: Score first and it might end up 1-1, but if they score first, be prepared for a long afternoon!

"We’ve been defending so well and it was just one dip in concentration that led to the goal.” Maybe the reason they have been defending so well is because they haven't played anybody at the same level that we currently are?

Need to find a win away from home quite soon, otherwise it might start to become a burden and that will put pressure on the home form, with a harder game than I thought coming up on Saturday as Colchester appear to have found a bit of form recently. Never been a fan of Duffy's, but at least his mistakes are fewer this season. I would still look to replace him in January as there are better players out there who would make us very solid at the back. It also looks as though we will be getting a new striker in January as JF was overlooked again and only brought on because Nolan had no choice.

If this game is just as important as the Roverz game, I look forward to seeing the team sheet tomorrow night at the full strength squad named. More likely it will be a reserve team again on display. Not that it matters to me as I won't support this trophy anymore (was a bit sketchy beforehand to be honest), it is all but killed off now.

Send out a full strength side, against them and also parade Craig (extra pound) Ramage on the pitch before kick off! Well overdue a good cup run and would be really nice to see us draw Man Utd away in the third round, although knowing our luck we will win tonight and then go out to Morcambe in the next round after a replay and it will be them playing Man U!

Second half was much better @Chris, first half until the sending off was a bit scrappy and probably even between the two sides. I must admit that before the sending off, I saw nothing special from Newport suggesting that we might lose the game and thought that if we could get a goal, we would have won comfortably.

Been waiting for this game all season and it's shame that a certain Liam Noble has had a fall out with Cooper, so probably won't be playing. I wouldn't change much in the line up, except by giving Stead a rest by bringing in Shola and also bringing Hawkridge back into the side. We should be too strong for them and I can see us running out 3-1 winners, I just hope that it will prompt Cooper's departure and I won't be sorry to see him go!

Yet again, the Mansfield hoodoo comes back to haunt us. I have to be honest, I didn’t even listen to the game as I just had that feeling that we would be stuffed! I’m not going to let yesterday bother me because at the end of the day, I am very happy with the 6 points we got this week and having looked at the fixtures for the next three months, I’m thinking that we can win a lot of those to cement our place near the top, especially playing the bottom side next week to hopefully get us back winning again.

We appear to be getting better and better at the moment, whilst the Stags are just not gelling at all it seems, so you would expect that this will be Notts's best chance in years to finally beat them! Evans was sent off last night, so he probably won't be on the touchline and Stags fans are bemoaning their midfield and wasteful strike force, but they are still not that far off third place in the table. I'd expect Notts to line up very similar to Saturday, rather than last night, with the exception of Dickinson still in for the injured Jones and I think it could well come down to the fact that we are more clinical in front of goal. I still reckon we'll lose 2-1 as we never get anything from Field Mill! Plus the fact that I won't be disappointed if we do, but really happy if we get anything from the game!

Fancy a draw to be honest, Exeter have come a long way since the same fixture last year when they were bottom. Will be interesting to see the line up he chooses, if he does rotate the squad, can’t really see where he will do it as Jones will be out anyway and Forte might be struggling.

I look at this game as an important one to win in order to maintain the momentum. With Lincoln, Exeter and Mansfield coming up as our next three fixtures, 3 points on Saturday would give us the right impetus going forward into those games. I'll go for a hard earned 2-1 win, with Tootle and Forte scoring. After that, if we can get four, or five points from those three games, that would set us up nicely for an easier October!

It's just not good enough, I'm starting to run out of things to moan about! Can't fault yesterday's performance, it was a big gamble to make so many changes for the match, especially against strong opponents, but it worked. Still waiting for Stead to score in open play though
