  1. This was one of those games where you had to grind it out. Fleetwood didn’t come to play, they sat deep and tried to frustrate us. First half we were a bit flat, but second half was better and Dennis took his goal well. Jatta doesn't look that bad but you can see what he’ll bring once he’s up to speed. The subs were the right calls too, fresh legs made a difference late on. Defensively we looked much stronger, still some gaps but nothing like the early games. I’m glad Paterson’s demanding more because he’s right, we should have finished it earlier. A win and a clean sheet feels like a step forward.

  2. I thought Paterson’s words about respecting the game summed up the first half. We didn’t force it, stayed patient, and although we made an error, it didn’t collapse us like it might have earlier in the season. The second half was all about reaction and that’s what I loved most. You could see the difference in mentality straight away. The fitness side also stood out, the players looked fresher and stronger as Tranmere threw everything forward. That’s progress you can see with your own eyes. For me, this wasn’t just about the three points, it was about showing that we’re learning from past mistakes and starting to play smarter football.

  3. Jodi Jones has been a huge part of our recent success, and this interview shows why. He’s confident but grounded, always looking for ways to improve his game. Playing further forward makes sense, he’s dangerous when he’s close to goal and can still drift into those wider areas where he’s at his most creative.

I also like his point about the structure still being there despite his movement. That balance between freedom and discipline is important. If he can add a few more goals to his game, he could easily be one of the league’s top performers again. Salford won’t be easy, but having players like him in form will make a massive difference.

  4. Young players from top academies can be hit and miss, but we’ve already had success with Abbott and it’s clear Spurs trust us to develop their lads. Hall sounds like he’s got a good engine, can play box-to-box or sit deeper when needed. At just 19, it’ll be his first real taste of senior football across a full season, so we’ll need to support him, but the potential is there. Happy with this one.

  5. I’m honestly gutted by this news. Bass has been brilliant for us, calm, reliable, and always gave 100%. His record speaks for itself. It feels like we’ve lost more than just a keeper; we've lost a leader at the back. I really hope we’re not scrambling to find someone with a similar presence. That said, I wish Alex all the best. He’s earned this move and deserves success at Peterborough.

  6. Not often you sign a player with such a powerful backstory and the ability to back it up on the pitch. Kouhyar’s journey is nothing short of inspiring, and he seems to be hitting form at the right time in his career. He’ll be hungry to prove himself, especially after spending time away from league football. If he can settle in quickly and build some confidence, I think he could really turn heads. Also helps that he’s already got some EFL experience, so this won’t be completely new to him.

  7. Really impressed with how solid we’ve become. Defensively, we look miles better than earlier in the season, and it’s paying off. Maynard’s right, if you keep clean sheets, you always give yourself a chance to win. That’s been key to this run we’re on.

The injuries are a concern, though. Jones is so important in the final third, and McGoldrick’s experience is invaluable. Hopefully, we get good news on them soon. The depth in the squad is being tested, but players like Whittaker stepping up is exactly what we need. Port Vale away will be tough, but we’re playing with confidence. If we keep our defensive shape and take our chances, I fancy us to get a result.

  8. A very interesting signing! Always good to see us looking at different markets, and Norway has produced some great players over the years. Traore has experience in a competitive league, and his record in Sweden shows he knows how to find the net. The club clearly sees potential in him, and I like that we’re thinking long-term. The biggest question will be how quickly he adapts to English football, but he’s got the physicality and technical ability to do well. If he can add goals to our side, this could be a brilliant bit of business.

  9. Massive credit to Maynard and the lads for this one. The away form we’re showing is incredible, four wins on the bounce is a serious statement. We’ve got a real balance in the team now. McGoldrick and Jatta are leading the line brilliantly, but it’s also about the work being done behind them. The midfield controlled things well, and I liked how Whittaker slotted in.

We’re also looking more dangerous from set-pieces, which is something we’ve lacked in recent seasons. Thought we might regret not getting a third when Gillingham pushed late on, but credit to the defence, they saw it out. These are the kind of results that build momentum.

  10. To go from working on construction sites to playing in the Europa League is something many would never imagine. Curtis Edwards’ journey in football is a true inspiration. He didn’t have an easy start, but his move to Sweden and success in Europe really turned things around for him. You can see the determination in his game, and he’s now bringing that quality to Notts. We’ve already seen glimpses of his class on the pitch, and I’m excited to see what else he can bring. Notts has certainly signed someone with a wealth of experience, and I think that’s invaluable for our promotion push.

  11. Hard-fought win, but we deserved it! We looked the better side first half, controlled the ball well and took our chances. Tsaroulla’s header was excellent, and McGoldrick’s goal came at the perfect time. Gillingham were much stronger second half, and that late goal made it a bit too nervy for my liking.

Fair play to our defence, though, they stood up to the pressure and saw it out. Bass was solid, and I thought Palmer was outstanding in midfield. Need to be a bit more clinical when we get chances to kill the game off, but overall, really happy with another away win.

  12. Having Curtis Edwards back is massive for us. He adds something different in midfield, and you could see that straight away when he came on. It wasn’t the easiest game to step into, but he got stuck in, worked hard, and helped us see out an important win. The fact he’s been out for so long and still looked that sharp says a lot about how well he’s been working behind the scenes. If he can get back to full match fitness quickly, we’ve got a real team player here. Great to see him back!

  13. Maynard is right to stress resilience against a side like Colchester. Their defensive record shows they’re tough to break down, and our squad will need to be sharp. Injuries have been a challenge, but it’s good news about Platt and Abbott. Crowley’s absence has been noticeable, especially in games where we needed that spark of creativity. If we can control the midfield and take our chances, I’m confident we’ll get the result we need. Fans backing the team will be crucial in making the difference.

  14. The updates on stadium facilities were good to hear, especially with improvements to toilets and disability access. These things might seem small to some, but they make a big difference to the matchday experience. Adding handrails and opening up the Jimmy Sirrel Stand to ease congestion are steps in the right direction. Meadow Lane is our home, and it’s great to see it being looked after.

  15. Getting a point on the road is never easy, and this match proved that. Jatta's goal was well-earned and backed up Maynard’s point about training. However, it was tough seeing the pressure Doncaster put on us in the second half. We needed to hold the ball better and take more risks. Still, the fans played a huge role in keeping the spirits up. Maynard’s reflection was accurate, and we should build on this.

  16. I thought the game was a bit scrappy at times, especially in the first half. Barrow were well organised, and they took their chance when it came. For us, it felt like we lacked a bit of sharpness in the final third, and we couldn’t quite get going before half-time. The second half was much better though. We put them under more pressure, moved the ball quicker, and created some decent chances. Mcgoldrick’s equaliser was the least we deserved, and I thought we might go on to win it after that. All in all, a draw seems fair. It’s another point on the board, and we keep moving forward.

  17. Pleased with the fightback. Barrow made it difficult with their defensive approach, but we stayed patient and found a way through. Maynard made some good tactical changes, especially with Brown coming on. McGoldrick’s penalty was perfectly placed, as always. The biggest concern for me is how often we’re giving teams a lead to defend. We’ve got to be quicker out of the blocks, especially against these sides that like to sit deep. But a point away is always a good result in this league.

  18. Rod McDonald’s attitude through this injury has been top class. It's always hard for players joining a new club and getting sidelined right away, but he seems to have kept a really positive outlook, which is great. His experience is exactly what we need in defence, and I think his return will help shore things up at the back. Really excited to see how he performs today, especially against his old team, AFC Wimbledon. Should be a good match!

  19. Matt Palmer’s recollection of the play-off final gave me chills, it was such a rollercoaster of a game! The bit about his penalty record was funny, but it just shows how candid he is. More importantly, I think his reflections on the team now are spot on. It’s easy to forget how many new players we’ve got, and he’s right that it takes time to build those relationships on the pitch. Despite that, we’ve started really well, and I’ve no doubt we’ll only get better. Having someone like Palmer to guide the team through this period of adjustment is so crucial.

  20. Great to see fans of all ages coming to Meadow Lane to support the club. The result yesterday wasn’t what we hoped for or wanted, but that’s football. The Faces of PON has captured the day in colour, and excellently might I add. It’s great to see the dedication that the Pride of Nottingham has towards the club.

  21. This is an exciting signing, especially given the injuries we've had recently. Josh Martin has shown he can compete at a high level, having made Premier League appearances for Norwich and played in League One for Portsmouth. His versatility is a major plus, as we’ve been a bit light in attacking options. The fact that he’s only 23 and has so much experience is impressive.
