We've already got a European Super league in all but name. Now European Clubs are pushing for the Club World Cup to be expanded. In the not to distant future it will be almost inevitable that the top clubs in England & Europe won't have the time to play in their domestic leagues with all these other competitions being expanded. Could they leave their own domestic leagues to make more money elsewhere? I think that it is inevitable. Would this be a big loss to the domestic leagues? Of course it would, but I don't see how the inevitable march to a superleague of some sorts will be prevented.

Rest in peace Brian Wilson. The Beach boys were an iconic group that defined the music of the sixties. Very sad news today. His passing is a big loss to the music industry & his devoted fans across the World.

It's been a pleasant warm day here. Took the wife to the Dentist for her six monthly check up this morning. She will have to have a filling done. Spent some time in the garden. I couldn't get the trellis I wanted the other day but I've secured our climbing rose to the fence using string. It looks ok as a temporary fix. I've also made repairs to our garden fence. I will also be looking to fit some post buddies to a fence post that's a bit loose tomorrow. I can certainly recommend the metal post buddies. I've fitted them to half a dozen of our fence posts. They do extend the life a bit more.

Peps formation & footballing style is beginning to be successfully countered in club football & now international football Senegal countered the England formation perfectly. Time for England to go back to the drawing board, but under Tuchel no chance.

Notts need a playmaker, a number 10 who has a good football brain & can pass the ball quickly and accurately. I think we need another striker just in case our two main strikers are injured or, & I don't want this to happen, Jatta is sold. I'd also like to see another wing back recruited & of course we need another goalkeeper who is going to challenge Bass for the number one jersey. Last but not least they should recruit another defender who can play in all the defensive positions. All these players need to be skillful & good ball players but they must also be strong & be able to mix it with the opposition physically. One of those players needs to be a leader too. I don't think the present Notts squad has a leader & Notts desperately needs one as a Club Captain.
