  1. Another trophy for Worksop Town.
  2. Lovely morning here with plenty of blue sky. Spent an hour in the garden this morning tidying up Will be sitting out in the garden later with the Mrs. My DVD packed up last night after 20 years of useful service. Ordered a new one. Should receive it this afternoon. Not expecting this new one to last 20 years.
  3. Hampshire have won the toss & have put Nottinghamshire into Bat. Notts team below👇
  4. Last season Notts finished in 14th place in League 2. This season Notts have finished in 6th place & still have a chance of promotion. No matter what happens from here on in, it's been a season of progress. Notts are quite capable of playing well above that ranking of 6th best team in the League. That's why I'm very hopeful of further success in the playoffs.
  5. Nottinghamshire squad for the match against Hampshire which starts at 11am on Friday 09/05/25
  6. Notts have now scored 82 goals in all competitions so far this season.
  7. Two years ago Notts made the National League playoffs with a record points total for a team finishing 2nd. It was a great achievement. In 2025 Notts made the League 2 playoffs which is an even better achievement, even if many Notts fans don't think that is the case.
  8. Your Thursday Weather 4cast
  9. The excitement is building. 72 hours to go. Can Notts get a positive result & give themselves a chance for the second leg? I think they can, but they will have to be at their best. I am very encouraged by Notts away record this season. I think that if Notts can get a narrow win on Saturday or even a draw, I think Wimbledon will be very weary of Notts at their place. Having the first leg at home can work in Notts favour because Wimbledon will want to dominate the play in the 2nd leg & that may give Notts more room up front, to hit Wimbledon on the break. I'm pleased that Austin is back & I hope he is fit enough to start the match because before his injury he was playing so well. I'd also like to see Jarvis in the starting eleven, because I think he's better defensively than Jones. My first eleven would be Bass, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Austin, Abbott, Palmer, Jarvis, Grant, Jatta, McGoldrick. Subs. Miller, Whittaker, Edwards, McDonald, Hinchy, Gordon, Jones
  10. Notts have won or drawn 71% of their league matches this season.
  11. Nice start to the morning here. Looks like it is going to be a reasonable day. We haven't had any prolonged rain for several weeks here. We've only needed to cut the lawn once in several weeks. Woke up this morning to the following news from abroad. Looks like hostilities have started between India & Pakistan & the Cardinals are meeting in Rome to choose a new Pope.
  12. I thought Austin did well when he came on. I think Notts missed him during his injury & he was playing very well beforehand too. I hope Austin will be fit enough to start against Wimbledon. He could make a lot of difference for us.
  13. It was a reasonable day here weather wise but the wind was chilly. Completed a five mile walk this morning. I always take a drink with me & a bite to eat when walking just in case. Watched a good film tonight called Gemini Man with Will Smith. A good action movie.
