What positions should Notts bring in next?
Notts need a playmaker, a number 10 who has a good football brain & can pass the ball quickly and accurately. I think we need another striker just in case our two main strikers are injured or, & I don't want this to happen, Jatta is sold. I'd also like to see another wing back recruited & of course we need another goalkeeper who is going to challenge Bass for the number one jersey. Last but not least they should recruit another defender who can play in all the defensive positions. All these players need to be skillful & good ball players but they must also be strong & be able to mix it with the opposition physically. One of those players needs to be a leader too. I don't think the present Notts squad has a leader & Notts desperately needs one as a Club Captain.

This is fantastic news & it is certainly showing that the owners are commited to continuous improvement of the Club. Clubs in the Championship would love to have the facilities that Notts have. It's important that the facilities match the ambition & that is certainly going to be the case.- Notts County Secure Season-Long Loan for Huddersfield Midfielder Tom Iorpenda
He looks to be an excellent signing for Notts. He's a central Midfielder so I assume he will slot into the central area alongside Palmer or Hinchy. He's also able to play on the wing too, so his recruitment gives Notts options. He's tall so he will be able to help defend set pieces and will also be useful in the opposition penalty area with his height. George Abbott was a success story for Notts & I hope that Tom will be able to become just as influential for Notts in the coming season.- Connections game
Hard luck @super_ram I was lucky today with my game. Seems they are putting in a few false flags.- Wordle
@super_ram That was a hard Wordle this time. I only just made it myself.- Weekly chat Monday 9th to Sunday 15th June
@Chris When it's Sunny I'm wearing a cap that is similar to what the French Foreign Legion were wearing in the desert. Covers the back of your neck and ears.- Tom Iorpenda joins on a season long loan
He looks to have plenty of promise. He is tall & has played on the wing as well as midfield so he will be very useful, being able to play in a few different positions. I have a concern about his recent injury record but I'm sure Notts would have taken that into consideration before signing him. I will look forward to where Notts will play him. I understand he's a central midfielder, so will Notts play him alongside Matt Palmer? If he's anything like George Abbott, he will be very useful to Notts.- Weather Updates

@liampie I always wear a hat & keep covered so as not to get sun burnt. We've got some factor 50 that we use when doing work outside. Like you said it's important to keep hydrated too.- Jake Tabor the Most wanted striker
If Wycombe sign him they might decide to loan him out to another club to help him with his development. Signing young players then loaning them out seems to be the in thing nowadays. He seems to be a good prospect & who knows, it happened for Langstaff, so he could turn out to be a good acquisition for Wycombe if they sign him permanent & maybe another club if he's then loaned out.- Weekly chat Monday 9th to Sunday 15th June
It's been a reasonable day here weather wise. Took a trip to the supermarket this morning to get a few goodies. Planning to get into the garden tomorrow to fit a trellis to the garden f nice o secure our climbing Rose. Lots of rose flowers on it this year. This past weekend I've also been brushing the moss off the North side of the house walls where the wall meets the ground, just below the damp course. It's coming off quite easily with a scrubbing brush.- The appointment of Dr David Rhodes as Director of Performance.
@Chris Those were the days Jack Wheeler & his magic sponge. It certainly used to cure most of those niggles & even some of the serious ones, to keep a player on the field.- Tobias Solberg : Odds-checker 1/2 to become Notts Head Coach
I have no doubt that he is a decent coach who has a lot of knowledge of players & the Swedish League system. My question would be, will he be able to improve on the previous Head Coach. Would the fact that he hadn't managed a team in the English football pyramid be a handicap for him? My choice would be a person who has managerial experience of a Club in the EFL. I think that is important to take Notts to the next level.- hello johnnykingofthepies
Hi @Johnnykingofthepies Welcome to our Pride of Nottingham community. Great to have you on board.- The appointment of Dr David Rhodes as Director of Performance.
This looks to be a good acquisition for the Club. Notts suffered with so many injuries & if Dr David Rhodes can improve the fitness, performance & physicality of the squad it will be a very positive development for our prospects in 25/26. So Notts will be having a Coaching team under a new Football departmental structure. Are we to see the return of a Notts Football Manager?- Have we become too predictable?
SM in his post match interviews, talked about the focus turning to the next match & it always seemed that there was going to be a tactic & plan against that particular side. But when it came to it, especially at ML, the plan & tactic always used to be very similar to the previous match, play out from the back & retain possession as much as possible. When I talk about a plan A, B, & C I'm talking about how Notts should be approaching each game against 23 different teams. For me, there has to be a different approach because every team is different. It's not all about the style & shape, it's also about which players of the squad you play, what position they play, & how the Notts formation will be for that particular opponent. What would be the most effective way of playing that particular team. Which players would be the best players to play against that team, What formation would be the best against that team. What style would be the best against that team to win a game of football? On a poor narrow pitch or against a physical & bullying side, the player line up should be different, compared to a side that will play an open passing game on a good wide pitch. I think that is how a Head Coach should be using his squad.- Have we become too predictable?
@michaelbrown Totally agree with your sentiments. A new Manager/Head Coach with good man management skills, experienced in League 1/2 management. Has a good knowledge of League 2/1 players Not afraid to implement a plan B & C, & a good judge of when to bring on the substitutions.- Uriah Rennie RIP
Sorry to read this sad news. Rest in Peace Uriah Rennie. - New training ground
