  1. List of players currently injured. 1. Scott Robertson. 2.Lucas Ness 3.Jodi Jones 4. Sam Austin 6. Rod McDonald 7. Alex Bass
  2. Birmingham Ladies (Boldmere St Michaels) are currently in fifth place six points ahead of Notts who are in seventh place. It will be an opportunity for Notts to make some ground on Birmingham. If Notts could finish in fifth place at season's end it would be a great achievement. The match won't be easy as Birmingham have improved too. Notts will have to play at their best, but they have every chance of getting a positive result.

  4. Sunny intervals here with plenty of cloud. Out in the garden once again making repairs to our garden fence & picking up leaves & more weeding.
  5. Jarvis & Whittaker are no better than Martin & Brown who we let go. Cisse has lots of potential & he's worth a place on the bench. Junior has shown that he can score goals. Traore hasn't really showed much since his arrival. I would prefer Junior over Traore at this time. He deserves another opportunity.
  6. Your 4cast for Friday.

  8. Listened to Stuart's pre Crewe presser & he confirmed that Bass will be out for a while, apparently he had a similar injury in the past. Stuart is hopeful he will play a part before the season's end but it doesn't look good. Stuart confirmed that Notts are looking for a goalkeeper either on emergency loan or someone out of contract. Mai Traore is fit and in contention for the Crewe match, so is Morias. As far as Jodi is concerned Notts are taking it a week at a time. Not sure that He'll be back before season's end. Stuart thought that the match on Saturday will be difficult, but a win could put the club back on track. Just thought that Stuart looked a little subdued during this presser & it didn't appear to me that he was as upbeat as he has been in previous interviews.
  9. Stunning photo of the Earth at the moment of the spring equinox.
  10. Another lovely morning here. Not a cloud in the sky. Both of us put in the garden early weeding & tidying things up. Now taking a rest & going online for a while. Switched off the gas fire for the first time in months. Looks like it is going to be a relative scorcher today.
  11. Nottingham Panthers moved up to second in the Elite League table, a point behind leaders Belfast Giants, with a superb 5-1 victory over Cardiff Devils 19TH MARCH 2025: PANTHERS 5-1 DEVILS - Nottingham Panthers WWW.PANTHERS.CO.UK
  12. Is it really thirty years ago?
  13. To be honest @liampie I don't understand why the start of the game has to be 12:30 just because it is a live televised match. Why not start the match at the usual time of 3pm or is it because Sky want fans to tune into their Soccer Saturday?
  14. Your Weather for Thursday Morning
  15. I agree with @liampie that the majority of the current crop of players are generally good enough for league one. I do believe however, that the squad needs strengthening to ensure that those players on the bench are capable of maintaining the strength of the team if they need to come on. At the moment, I don't think that is the case. I also believe that Notts need to ensure that the players they bring in don't have a history of injuries that could cause Notts problems during the season. Then we have to factor in the possibly that some of our best players could be sold off. Jatta is one that could be sold & Bedeau has impressed too witch may interest other clubs. I don't expect Notts to challenge for promotion if they do get promoted. The owners have basically said that they won't rush things, so it may be a season of consolidation.
  16. This isn't good news. "The UK government is considering paring back the powers of its planned football regulator as part of a wider clamp-down on bureaucracy". "Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s office is reviewing the proposals to ensure they don’t stifle the growth of the Premier League and disincentivize overseas investment in Britain’s biggest football clubs, according to people familiar with the matter. The regulator is unlikely to be scrapped but could be watered down through further amendments to legislation that is currently being finalized, they said". If the powers of the Regulator are cut it would be a big blow to football in this Country as far as I'm concerned.
  17. @The Cheshunt Pie I think most of the Notts fans think that he has been treated poorly by the management. There are other players we could mentioned that seem to have been treated poorly too. Whether it's something on the training field or whether it's to do with not getting on with the Coach, we can only speculate. But now he's been recalled he should be given a chance. Let him do his talking on the field of play. He could prove is doubters wrong.
  18. Before I retired I spent the majority of my time working & commuting to & from work, but I've always been interested in all sports from Athletics to Ice hockey. Now retired I'm trying to adjust to life in retirement. I like my daily walks. The superstore is in walking distance, so if we need anything, that's a good way to exercise. I like to go into the garden in the spring, summer & Autumn to keep busy. It isn't a big garden but it's big enough to sit out & enjoy the flowers. I do a bit of reading too. There's always plenty to do around the house & in the garden but it's nice to sit down during the evening & watch a dvd or online film.
