  1. Forecast for the weekend.
  2. Another reason to keep him. Well done Didzy.
  3. Notts have equaled the points total from last season which was 61 points with still 10 games to go, so it appears Notts will better that total, meaning that progress would have been made.
  4. Your Friday Morning Weather
  5. Walsall dropped two more points when they were held to a 2:2 draw at Bromley. So the updated top of league 2 looks this way
  6. The Weather was a bit of a mixed bag today, sunshine and showers. We even had a hail squall just after mid day. Did my couple of miles walk today. Have been doing a couple of miles a day for a while to build up my fitness Bought a few hundred spring bulbs from Amazon several weeks ago & planted them in large pots straight after receiving them. We had a mixture of Hyacinth, daffodils, Crocuses & dwarf daffodils They have grown and are starting to flower. They are looking good, although they are not all flowering at the same time. Hoping after several days most of them will be out in their spendour. Wife is pleased.
  7. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @ASHLEY GUY Looking forward to your first post.
  8. Your Thursday Evening Weather
  9. David McGoldrick has scored 26 goals in 56 league games for Notts since his return.
  10. Mansfield's situation is surely a lesson for Notts if they manage to win promotion. Notts will need to ensure that they have the players that can step up another level & if not, be prepared to go into the transfer market, to ensure they do not struggle as Mansfield have done.
  11. This will be welcome news for all Boston fans that would like to see their team eventually progress to EFL status. The club currently are struggling second from bottom of the national league 5 points from safety after getting promoted last season. Boston are on a good financial footing & would like to take the next step according to their Deputy Chairman. Whether they stay in the national league or not, the plan will go ahead at the start of next season. Personally I think it would be good to see Boston in the football league. This change would allow them to attract good players who could improve the team.
  12. Good news for Boston United fans. Becoming full time professional from the start of next season. Can it lead to them getting EFL status in the future? Boston United: National League club to go full-time from next season - BBC Sport WWW.BBC.CO.UK Boston United's move to become a full-time professional side next...
  13. We know that David McGoldrick is not just a colossus on the pitch even though he's 37 years old, but he is big off the pitch for Notts too. David McGoldrick has scored 26 goals in 56 league games for Notts County Boss Stuart Maynard called veteran forward David McGoldrick "Superman" after the fit-again striker came off the bench to seal Tuesday's win at Grimsby Town. He is so influential & a great leader as well as being a fantastic role model for the other Notts players. The performance of the match squad go up when he's on the bench & field of play. It was there for all to see against Grimsby. His brilliance on the field at this level is unmatched too. His ability to score a goal out of nothing could be an important factor for Notts during the season run in I believe that Notts should offer him an extension if he wants it, maybe including a player coaching role, where he can study for his coaching certificates if he wanted it.
  14. My question to PON members. Should Notts offer a contract extension to Didzy?
  15. @Pies79 I do agree that McDonald brings something to the back line. Stuart went to a back four in the second half against Grimsby. If McDonald is fit, he plays. Of course Didzy should play from the start of he's fully fit. I just think that he is too valuable to risk just coming back from injury. Not sure if Stuart will put our young B Team goalie (Perrot) on the bench if Bass is not fit.
  16. Another massive game for Notts on Saturday.. Notts were boosted by the return to fitness of David McGoldrick with his well taken goal. I think that Stuart will remain cautious & David will remain on the bench against the Spireites. Doubts about Bass & McDonald's fitness remain so my team will reflect that My team against Chesterfield will be an unchanged side from the one that faced Grimsby after Bass's replacement. Slocombe, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Gordon, Abbott, Palmer, Tsaroulla, Whittaker, Grant, Jatta. Edwards, Jarvis, Hinchy, Johnson, McGoldrick, Cisse I've put just six substitutes for now until we hear from Stuart in his pre Chesterfield presser. So I have Didzy coming on after 60 minutes or earlier depending on the state of play.
  17. If Notts can keep Didzy fit we have a chance for the Automatics. Jatta plays better with him in the side & Didzy seems to get a better performance out of the match squad, because He leads by example & his fellow players are inspired by him too.
  18. The Poll has now closed. Thanks to all who voted. By popular choice, I am very pleased to announce that Nick Tsaroulla has been named the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match against Grimsby. Well done Nick.
  19. THREE DAYS TO GO. CMON U PIES
  20. Bury are well on their way to getting promoted from the North West Counties Premier Division.
  21. Notts have earned as many points (61) with ten games to go, as they did in the whole of last season.
