  1. I've done an up to date model after today's defeat to Colchester. I've put Notts down for two wins, two draws & one loss from their last five matches. Notts finish in 5th place & get a play off place.
  2. As well as Notts losing. Three clubs around Notts in the league, Walsall, Crewe & Chesterfield lost too in the fifth of April.
  3. I think on the balance of the play a draw would have been a fair result. My four player shortlist is Jacob Bedeau, Lewis Macari, Wil Jarvis & David McGoldrick. In a scrappy game the Notts defence looked comfortable for most of the match apart from a mistake that led to the goal. David McGoldrick was is usual influential self but couldn't get the breakthrough today. Will Jarvis looked dangerous when going forward. I thought he was Notts most dangerous player today so he gets my decision for Notts Man of the match.
  4. Stumps at the end of the 2nd day. Notts are 297 for 5, Ben Slater made 92, Freddie McCann made 79 Durham lead by 81 runs.
  5. Tea is taken Notts are 166 for 2.
  6. A dissapointing result today for Notts & a blow to their automatic promotion hopes. It was a very scrappy affair & Colchester seemed to get their tactics spot on. Notts just didn't look cohesive today as they did against MK Dons. So who do you think was the Notts Man of the Match today? I have chosen the players who started the match from which to make your choice. Those players are:- Slocombe, Bedeau, Platt, Macari, Tsaroulla, Palmer, Hinchy, Jarvis, Whitaker, McGoldrick, Jatta.
  7. It's a dissapointing result today but Notts are still in the mix & a couple of wins should see Notts win a playoff place, then anything can happen. Abbott was a big loss for us today. The injuries have been a big factor this season. We've had our best player out for most of the season, & our best central midfielder before he got injured. Stuart Maynard has worked miracles with the players that he's had available to stay in contention & no matter what happens , the team have improved from last season. The continued criticism of Maynard when Notts have a loss is totally unfair in my opinion. Notts are at home to Salford next Friday & Notts at their best should get three points from it. Up to date table. Notts in sixth place, six points ahead of Colchester who are in eighth place with 5 games left
  8. Kick off. CMON U PIES!!! Update Goal to Colchester Half Time Back underway Update.
  9. So mixed news for Notts after the 3 early matches Port Vale won Doncaster won Walsall lost Chesterfield lost.
  10. Stuart's team to face Colchester. Another injury Abbott out injured. Jatta back in the starting eleven. Jones on the bench. Hinchy replaces Abbott.
  11. Lunch. Notts are 48 / 0 in their first innings in reply the Durham's 378 a/o
  12. Under 18s play Salford today at Clifton 12:00 pm Kick off. Team news.
  13. @Fan of Big ToneSurprisingly it has a 12:45 start. Will keep an eye on all three games. A chesterfield loss or draw will do nicely.👍
  14. Good morning. Another beautiful morning here with plenty of sunshine. Big day for Notts.Another cup final beckons. There are two important matches affecting Notts with a 12:30 start today. Cheltenham v Doncaster. Walsall v Port Vale. A Cheltenham win would be great but two draws would help Notts very nicely.
  15. Just some useful stats to bear in mind before the match. Only Colchester & AFC Wimbledon have kept more clean sheets than Notts County this term, & that rear guard effort has been crucial to Notts's impressive form on the road. Notts County's previous victory away at Newport County last Saturday was their ninth of the campaign away from Meadow Lane, & they have now taken 33 points from their 20 away games, a total which is the highest of anyone in League Two & accounts for over 50% of their current points total. Source Google. It is noteworthy that Colchester are one of two teams that have more clean sheets this term than Notts, however they have lost five matches at home, the same as Notts, so it will be fascinating to see who wins this battle. I do hope it is Notts because that would be so massive.
  16. Another nice photo with the horse & it's shadow along with it's perfect reflection from the water. The light has to be right with the sun in the right place too.
  17. I must say @Fan of Big Tone that is a brilliant photo especially how the reflection of the horse's from the water along with the swans. Did you capture it on your mobile phone?
  18. The first day of Nottinghamshire's County Championship season is always an exciting time especially when there is plenty of Sun around to lift the mood. I think both teams will be happy how things turned out at close of play. Durham posted a decent score & Notts took plenty of wickets. Notts's new Australian signing O'Neil took 4 wickets on his debut & there were 2 wickets a piece for Tongue & Ahmed. Ackermann scored a Century for the visitors. Notts will be looking to take the final Durham wicket very quickly tomorrow morning, then look to bat well to match or even better the Durham score.
  19. Good evening. It been another lovely day here. We spent some time sitting in the garden soaking up the sun & the vitamin D Ms Bumblebee has continued to come & go from her small hole in the ground. We've kept our distance today. Hope things work out for her. Managed to do 8500 steps this morning, although I woke up a little stiff. Tomorrow I will be taking a days rest from the exertions of the week. It was nice to watch a bit of Nottinghamshire cricket during the Afternoon which was being streamed live from Trent Bridge. The start of the cricket season reminds us that the football season is getting close to its end.
