  1. If Notts get promoted the value of Jatta would probably go up two fold. Good business sense would be to wait till Notts have been promoted, then sell him to the highest bidder if they have to.
  2. No matter what the outcome the Club will survive even if it becomes a phoenix Club.
  3. I really don't want to see Notts become a feeder Club for clubs higher up in the pyramid. When your club is just a few points away from second place, with a settled side that is playing well, I cannot contemplate that the club would consider selling arguably their most important player, who could be so valuable to the club during the second half of the season. Let's keep our best players to give the club the best chance of achieving promotion this year. Once promotion is achieved, then it will be time to buy and sell to be able to compete in League 1.
  4. Stuart Maynard talking about the transfer speculation about Alassana Jatta. BBC Radio Nottingham - Matchday, "You've got to look at the owners, they've done an incredible job" - Stuart Maynard WWW.BBC.CO.UK The Notts County head coach, amidst speculation surrounding Alassana Jatta. I don't think that Stuart has squashed any nerves here on whether Jatta could stay or leave.
  5. @Fan of Big Tone I'm waiting for the dreaded phone call regarding state of play. It's always 50/50 whether there is work to be done.
  6. Former European champions formally liquidated just a decade after buying 32,609seater new stadium. WASPS rugby club have been liquidated more than two years after entering administation. The historic club won the Rugby Premiership on six occasions between 1990 and 2008, and won the European Cup in 2004 and 2007. Former European champions formally liquidated just a decade after buying 32,609-seater new stadium | The Sun WWW.THESUN.CO.UK WASPS rugby club have been liquidated more than two years after entering... Very sad news. Even the biggest clubs are not safe from going out of business.
  7. Cold dreary morning here. Feels like there's some rainin the air too. Took the car for MOT & service this morning. I got well wrapped up. The Garage is near the centre of Town a couple of miles drive. I always walk back but I will admit I don't like going on public transport or even a taxi if I can help it.
  8. Seen reports that Portsmouth are interested in Jatta now. All this speculation can be unsettling for the player too. What about if there is a bid for Jodi, or Platt, or Bass, or Bedeau, or any of our first team players? If the price is right would Notts sell any of them? Is it alright to make plenty of money, by having a few million in the bank by selling your best players, but finishing in mid table once again? I wouldn't see that as progress at all. I'm not being negative about all of this, I am just a concerned supporter who wants my club to do well and progress.
  9. Storm Eowyn has been named and is forecast to bring strong winds to much of the UK on Friday and into Saturday.
  10. Your Thursday 4 cast.
  11. Brilliant Blog well put together @allardyces tash. My worry is that Notts haven't really decided what sort of Club they are. Are they a feeder Club, buying players on the cheap, developing them, then selling them on for a profit every time another club comes in with a good offer? Or is the Club ambitious and wants to climb the league structure in a reasonable amount of time? There is a big discussion on line about whether Jatta will leave or not. I hope he will stay. He's become an integral part of the team linking play upfront & giving Notts an outlet too. He has also brought an extra dimension to the Notts game from dead ball situations such as corners & free kicks. Notts would lose quite a lot if Jatta was sold. He brings so much to the side & he is so valuable to Notts. If Jatta stays & helps Notts get promoted, he would be even more valuable to the Club at the end of the season . That decision will have to be made by the powers that be at Notts. I hope they choose ambition over selling their players too quickly to make money.
