  4. As much as I agree with Jimmy over lots of things football wise, @Piethagoram @Fan of Big Tone there are just two many variables in football to say that learning something from every game will stop a team losing. All you can do is reduce the variables, but there always be an element of chance too.
  5. If he is good enough to debut for a championship club, why wasn't he good enough for Notts? That's the million dollar question.
  6. I wholeheartedly support this petition. If the Government can help fund one of the richest clubs in the World to build a new stadium, how about the government help fund smaller clubs down the football pyramid, that are on the brink of extinction? Of course the government would never do that. Clubs like Man U should finance their own improvements. NOT the taxpayer.
  7. This is a sad story. Kettlewell had done a good job for Motherwell & just a small run of poor results resulted in him leaving due to the personal abuse he was getting. It's a sad indictment of the modern game & the growth and power of social media, that sadly, this won't be the only time this type of instance will occur.
  8. A very brave man who went through so much to let the World know what was happening in this Nazi death camp. Ironically, He ultimately lost his life not by the enemy's hands, but by the hands of his own Countrymen after the War had ended.
  9. Charlton 3-1 Bristol Rovers Lincoln City 2 - 1 Blackpool Peterborough 1 - 0 Wigan Accrington 1 - 1 Cheltenham Chesterfield 1 - 1 Bromley Crewe 1 - 2 AFC Wimbledon Barnet 2 - 0 Hartlepool Southend 2:1 AFC Fylde🤡
  10. Nice to see him back. Stuart should give him a chance. I'd like to see him on the bench Tuesday night.
  11. Good evening. It was a very poignant day being the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Watched the very moving ceremony today from Auschwitz on the BBC. Attendees included our King Charles, other World leaders, & survivors from the Holocaust.
  12. Aldershot Town Football Club is a professional association football club based in Aldershot, Hampshire, England. The team competes in the National League, the 5th level of the English football league system. Aldershot Town, a phoenix club, was founded in the spring of 1992 after the closure of debt-ridden Fourth Division club, Aldershot. Initially placed in the Isthmian League 3rd Division, Aldershot Town had two successive promotions in seasons 1992/93 & 1993/94. They won the 1st Division title in 1997–98 & the Premier Division in 2002/03 to gain a place in the Conference. They spent five seasons in the Conference, losing twice in the play-offs, before winning promotion into the Football League as Conference Champions in season 2007/08. They spent five seasons in League Two, reaching the play-offs in 2010, but were relegated back into non-League football & entered administration in May 2013. They were subsequently bought by a new owner, after which they reached the National League play-offs in 2017 & 2018. (Source Wiki) Aldershot Town are currently 18th in the National League table, 5 points above the relegation zone.

  14. There's an increased chance of flooding over the next few days with heavy rain falling on already saturated ground.
  15. A happy Manager after that result.
  16. @DangerousSausage Thanks for that. Like you I am interested in how these phoenix clubs are doing. It's great that the ones I've mentioned are doing well & are on the long road back. Darlington FC have there old name back too which is positive. Macclesfield seem to be doing very well, & as you say, they should be back to the NLN next season. I also believe that so long as the supporters want it, no matter the circumstances that a club may find themselves in, a club will always survive in one form or another. The evidence is there before us. Of course we don't want to see a Club go out of business. That's why the powers that be need to ensure more money is distributed down the football pyramid.
  17. League table after today's matches. Notts secure in seventh place.
  18. It's going to be wet and windy going into Sunday Evening.
  19. Macca had just one goal in twenty six appearances for Millwall since is transfer from Notts. Will things turn around for the better for Macca. Will he be loaned out to another Club, or will he be sold on? It looks to me that he is really struggling with the Millwall style. The Notts style of play was just perfect for him.
  20. A GREAT AWAY WIN FOR NOTTS WOMEN.
