The Transfer Rumour Mill.
Jatta won't be leaving Notts, but I'm sure the offers will come in for him. January is noted for crazy offers for players.

January 25 Transfer Window.
I've changed my mind about Josh Martin since a few weeks ago when I thought he'd be released in January. Josh has put in some good performances against Chelmsford & Walsall so I believe it's worth keeping him to the end of the season.

The Transfer Rumour Mill.
We are only three days into the January transfer window but the rumour mill has already started in earnest with speculation about possible bids for Notts players. Noticed Plymouth supporters speculating about a possible Jatta bid from their club.

Weekly Chat Monday 30th December - Sunday 5th January 2025
Another cold and crisp morning here with plenty of sunshine, but unfortunately the sunshine isn't having much effect. Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing all day once again. It's that time again to be thinking about taking down the Xmas decorations. We usually take them down before twelfth night on the sixth of January. Lots do take them down just after new year, however, I've known people to keep them up after twelfth night.

Match Discussion: Game 25 - The Robins (H)
It goes without saying that Notts need to get back to winning ways quickly against Swindon on Saturday. I think it helps Notts that the match kicks off early on Saturday. If Notts can get a win it should see them shoot up the table once again. Swindon will be no push overs & expect them to employ similar tactics again Notts that other teams have done all season. They will try to press Notts hard, concede possession & try to hit Notts on the break, as well as hoping Notts make defensive mistakes, that Swindon can take advantage of. Notts just need to successfully counter these tactics like they did in the first half against Walsall. I would like to see Jodi Jones start this match along with Conor Grant with Didzy on the substitutes bench. I think Notts will get back to winning ways by a good margin. 3:0 or 3:1 would be an excellent result to get the fans buzzing once again.

Nice to see Rangers inflict Celtic's first defeat of the season with a 3:0 win at Ibrox.- Weekly Chat Monday 30th December - Sunday 5th January 2025
Good Evening everyone. It's been a very cold day today. Took the wife to the Dentist this morning, Just got there in time due to so much frost on the car windows that had to be cleaned off. It was really thick and we had to wait from the heat of the engine to remove it. Incidentally, It's been no higher than -1C all day here. Snows forecast for Sunday. If it remains this cold we may get quite an accumulation of Snow. Hope that is not the case.- Where are they now : Kyle Cameron
Wish him luck at Barrow but he just wasn't good enough for Notts once we got promoted to league 2.- Jokes, Cartoons & Memes. It's the Laughter Corner.
- LEADERS WALSALL PRODUCE SECOND HALF COMEBACK - It's All Black and White Matchday Vlog (S3|EP21)
Great first half performance by Notts. They played the socks off the best team in the division in that first half Pity about the second half. Notts deserved at least a draw.- League 2 Watch. 2024/25
- Adam Chicksen extends loan
I don't think we will see Adam back at Notts when his loan period runs out. I think Adam is much more comfortable as a non league player.- Rooney leaves Argyle
I understand that and it would be very tempting to move to a championship club. Some may disagree with me, but a League 2 Championship medal is good to have on a CV, but a Championship relegation is not, even though the Salary may be much bigger. A League 2 win could help him get a much better club in the Championship if he is prepared to wait till next season. Alternatively, he may decide to try to help Walsall to get promoted to the Championship next season if Walsall are promoted.- Who is your Man of the Match v Walsall?
I have added Dan Crowley to the poll, if you wish to cast your vote for him- Rumour - Cedwyn Scott to Carlisle?
@True Magpie you make some good points about Cedwyn.. I hope that Cedwyn will stay and fight for a place in the side. I know it will be hard with Jatta & Didzy first in the queue.- Rooney leaves Argyle
Why would Mat Sadler leave Walsall to go to a club rock bottom of the Championship & odds on to get relegated? Walsall are favourites to win League 2. A Champions mark on his CV is too much to give up.- How to become a football agent
I think football agents are a scourge on the modern game. I just don't think they provide any useful purpose, but that's just my opinion.- Who is your Man of the Match v Walsall?
I think the Notts defence played well again with Platt & Bedeau the standouts once again. Bass had a good game with Abbott & Palmer featuring as usual. Josh Martin had a good game once again as did David McGoldrick. For me it was a choice between David McGoldrick, Josh Martin & Matty Platt for Notts Man of the Match. I think that Alassana Jatta just shades it, with his overall performance, scoring another well taken goal, & him being unlucky not to get a brace of goals.- Who is your Man of the Match v Walsall?
It was a dissapointing defeat against Walsall, however on the positive side there were some good performances for Notts despite the defeat. I have picked nine players for my shortlist for Man of the Match for Notts. They are:- Martin, Jatta, Platt, Bass, Bedeau, Abbott, Palmer, McGoldrick & Crowley.- Match Discussion: Game 24 - The Saddlers (H)
At the end of the day there are positives to take from this match. We totally outplayed the runaway leaders of league 2 in the first half & should have been 2 or even 3 goals up by half time, & there would have been no coming back from that. Notts are the better footballing side, so the players should take confidence from that. Another positive was that Josh Martin had a good game once again following in from his good performance against MK Dons. Jodi showed that he hasn't lost his ability to create chances for other teammates with his great cross that led to the Notts disallowed goal. If Notts continue to play like they did in the first half against Walsall they will beat most other teams in League 2.- HIGHLIGHTS | NOTTS COUNTY 1-2 WALSALL
The performance by Notts in the first half was the best under Stuart Maynard. Unlucky not to get at least a point out of this match. The disallowed Notts goal near the end of the match looked onside to me, but we move on to the next match against Swindon at ML. Notts have an opportunity against Swindon to get back on track. Hopefully, they will. - Scottish Football
