  1. At the end of the day he just played around half the league games in the 2009/10 season. He was either injured or loaned out. He wasn't a major player in that promotion year. For me he was a player mostly seen on the sidelines for Notts, and to sum up it really did not work out for him while he was at Meadow Lane.
  2. I would like to give a shout out for Martin & Brown for their performance against Barrow last night. I think when they came on they both had their best games for Notts & were both a contributing factor for Notts getting back into the game. I'd also like to give Maynard some credit for his willingness to change things when things aren't going so well. The fact that we have seven players out of the squad injured at this time, but Notts still got something out of the Barrow game, shows the strength of the squad this season.
  3. Another good fight back from Notts. I just love the never say die attitude of Notts this season.
  4. Well Lothar Matthäus would say good things about the Tuchel appointment wouldn't he. I wonder if he would be so agreeable if an English manager was appointed manager of the German national team? But we know that sort of appointment will never happen.
  5. Two million wouldn't even pay the several months wages of a player that United would buy, no matter the transfer fee As you say @Wheelbarrow repair man Fergie would have been well worth the wages by what he would have brought into the club.
  6. I think fans across the Country will agree that the FFP rules favour the big clubs like the top six in England & the top two in Scotland. If you have a turnover of £Billions, it's going to follow that a team with so much finance is going to cream off all the best players without getting into financial problems. There has to be a cap on the amount of money a club can spend on players, as well as a wage cap, & a cap on the number of the most expensive players a team can have in their squad. There has to be a system in place that prevents the big clubs dominating the leagues & cup competitions year after year. If these top coaches are as good as the media say they are, let them coach less expensive players into World beaters.
  7. I think that it is right that we celebrate the memory of the members of our armed forces of the past who fought & died to keep this Country free from tyrants. Trafalgar Day is one of those days, that should never be forgotten, because it is a part of our Country's glorious past, just as Armistice day, VE day, & VJ Day is.
  8. Brief highlights of the match.
  9. Your Wednesday Morning Weather.
  10. I think that it was very close between three players for the man of the match this evening. I think David McGoldrick stood out for Notts up front with his work rate, & he got the important equaliser with the penalty after being fouled in the area. Alex Bass played well again and made some important saves that kept Notts in it, so they could finally get the equaliser. However, I am going to go for Nick Tsaroulla as my man of the match. I think he was the best Notts player on the pitch tonight, & he got quite a few crosses in & made a few chances for himself with his surging runs upfield.
  11. @Wheelbarrow repair man well they don't, & I just don't see why the players & fans have to be punished with a fifteen point deduction. Like you said they should have had a transfer embargo put on them & that would have been enough punishment. If they are going into administration the owner no longer has control, it's the administrators who will be running the club & looking for a new owner.
  12. Swift justice for everyone except one club that plays in Manchester.
  13. Here is the goal that got Notts the point.
  14. It was the poorest I have seen Notts play in that first half. It was a terrible start once again, conceding an early goal. But the changes that Stuart made in the first half & later in the second made the difference as far as I was concerned. Notts looked much more threatening & managed to get the equaliser late on again. This team just doesn't know when it's beaten & in the end a point is welcome & the away unbeaten record continues. Other sides around Notts have either lost or drawn so Notts go up to third place with this draw. The growing injury list is a concern, & Notts will have to improve in their next match against Harrogate on Saturday.
  15. Here's my shortlist of players for tonight's Man of the Match against Barrow. Jacob Bedeau, Matty Platt, Lewis Macari, Jevani Brown, David McGoldrick, Dan Crowley, Nick Tsaroulla, Alex Bass.
  16. Update. Tsaroulla gets a yellow card for a bad foul. Barrow 1 Notts 0. 84 mins.
  17. Update 73 mins gone. Barrow 1 Notts 0
  18. Update. Update Substitutions for Notts. 58 - Bedeau and Martin replace McDonald and Gordon.
  19. Back to it. CMON U PIES!!! Update.
