  1. Your Weather for Saturday Morning
  2. The new manager of a struggling football team in the Conference won’t stand for any nonsense. Last Saturday at half time, he caught two fans trying to climb over the wall of the ground & he wasn't amused at all. He called them down, grabbed them by the scruff of their necks & said: “Get back in there & watch the game until it finishes!”
  3. Yes, I'll be keeping an eye on this guy. I think it's a great move by Swindon to offer him an opportunity like this. He one of those home grown managers that don't get the credit they deserve. He's a very good coach & I expect Swindon to get much better under Holloway. So long as it's not against Notts, but when we meet them it will be a tough game, & Notts will need to be at their very best.
  4. Stuart Maynard had a lot of stick last season but he has turned things around & Notts's unbeaten run since the beginning of the season is a testament to his recruitment, coaching methods, & his leadership.
  5. Derby County 1-1 Hull City Plymouth Argyle 1-1 Preston Cambridge United 2-0 Burton Lincoln City 1-0 Stockport Bradford City 2-1 Doncaster Newport 1-2 Fleetwood Barnet 2-1 Rochdale???? Ebbsfleet 2-1 Wealdstone
  6. Stuart Maynard has done a great job in making the Notts team very hard to break down. Conceding just an average of a goal a game since the beginning of the season is testament to his coaching & his ability to organise the team into a tight fit unit It's dissapointing that the team have conceded early goals, but their ability to fight back & work hard to get back into a game is again a trait that Stuart has brought to the team If the team can continue to play in this way, I am sure that the positive results will continue to come. Harrogate will be another tough nut to crack but this Notts team is up for the challenge & will work together as they have done in previous games this season, to get those vital three points on Saturday.
  7. A local women's football team was looking for new recruits to fill there team. One of the recruits was named Cinderella, & she looked very promising, but she had to be let go because she kept running away from the ball.
  8. Friday Afternoon Weather
  9. The important games are coming thick and fast for Notts at the moment. The game on Saturday against Harrogate will be another tough one for Notts to navigate. Key areas will be our defence, midfield & upfront once again. The injury situation is unclear & Maynard didn't really mention it in his press conference. If the players who recently picked up knocks against Wimbledon are now available, this would be my team for Saturday's match. Bass Macari, Platt, Bedeau Gordon,Abbott,Palmer,Tsaroulla, Austin, Crowley, Jatta Subs. McDonald, Slocombe, Martin,Brown, Robertson McGoldrick, Reynolds Just one striker tomorrow to begin with. I've put Didzy on the bench but if he's not needed I'd rest him. Notts need to be up for it from the start. We can't afford to keep conceding early goals My Score. 2:0 Notts.
  10. Messi has been doing the business for Inter Miami this season. He scored a very quick hat trick last week & the Manager was so pleased with him. It seems Messi cannot do a thing wrong. But the owner of the place where Messi is staying has an issue with the football icon, he's always leaving his room messi.
  11. He's basically advertising that he will be available for work in the PL in two years time. I think that a few PL clubs would be interested but not the top PL clubs. He'll probably get a job as a Mr Fixer on a short term contract, similar to the contracts Big Sam & Neil have, when a club needs their services. As for going down the leagues, that is a no no in my opinion. It would be a good move as far as I'm concerned, but I don't think these elite Managers would do that. However, I've just started a thread on Ian Holloway going to Swindon, so it's not impossible that a PL Manager can go down the leagues for work. But as for Jose making the move down the football pyramid, No way Jose.
  12. Fantastic result for TNS. They win their first ever game in the UEFA Conference League.
  13. Good appointment by Swindon. He a top Manager.
  14. Good morning all. Have a nice time away @Fan of Big Tone. Don't forget to vote on the man of the match at the weekend???? Well it's been raining again overnight here & it's been on and off this morning. Pleased I got a lot of garden work done when I had the opportunity. We have moles that lives under a few gardens on my close. Every now and then they make a few Mole hills on my lawn. This mole family & their generations have been doing their thing under the soil for as long as we've been here,
  15. I'm on a phone but there seems to be yellow green & purple in the background on the posts. Looks like a glitch.
  16. Looks like they're all unemployed. He'll soon get snapped up just like his other colleagues. Maybe Burton.
  17. The poll is now closed. Thank you to all who have voted. We have a clear winner this evening. I am pleased to announce that Nick Tsaroulla is the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match for his excellent performance against Barrow.
  18. I was upset when Macca left, but I think the Notts team have moved on now. Of course Macca's goal scoring exploits are going to be missed, however, the Notts defence is much more water tight than it was when Macca was scoring all those goals last season. I still believe that we need another specialist striker in the January window to take the pressure off Jatta and Didzy. Hopefully Scott may return too, as soon as he feels well enough. I think it is also incumbent on Macca to try to adapt to the way Millwall play. I am sure that he is good enough to give it a good go. We also have to bear in mind that Notts play a little differently to how they played when Macca was here. Notts have more emphasis on defence now, & we even see Crowley tracking back in defence, so it might not have been so easy for Macca at Notts this season.
  19. Didzy has been the star this season for me. His work rate is absolutely incredible, & he has become a mainstay of the team this season He's not just influential upfront, he tracks back & helps in defence too. I think the way Didzy is playing is the perfect example of how Notts are playing as a team this season under Maynard. The team is playing with character, grit, with a will to win & that is exactly what Didzy is doing & he's leading by example.
  20. I agree that good players can make an average coach look good, & the ability of a club that can buy the best players can make an average Coach look good too. I that's my point when it comes to the top sides in the PL.They can recruit the best players that can make Coaches like Guardiola look good. I'm not saying that a coaches like Guardiola are bad, I'm making a point that Guardiola & his ilk would do no better with the players that are at Swansea right now than anyone else.
